Rules


1. Draft starts at 7PM GMT and will end no later than at 5AM GMT the next day. You need to start a Draft run after 7PM GMT and then report your final result to pavelk in Discord with a screenshot
2. The first one to report 7-0 will be announced winner and will get $70.
3. The second one will get $30. The cash prize will be granted only if a minimum of 16 players participate in the event. The other rewards are guaranteed.
4. The top 4 players with reported results will be able to choose a skin at the end of the event (most likely tomorrow)
5. Having that in mind it is highly possible not all of the top 4 players to have a perfect score (7-0) so it is important to report any of your results.
6. The reported results will be sorted by result and time of the report. (last time the winner and the runner up had only 1 min difference) Time of the report will be what matters, not when your game ended.
7. The event does not end when someone gets a perfect score. You still play for top 4.
8. Reported Draft runs started before 7PM GMT will be disqualified
9. We will validate all reports with our server data when the event is over.

THE GREAT GODDESS – MISTRESS OF THE UNDERWORLD

The sun is already setting. With each step deeper into the jungle, you feel uneasy. You feel like a hundred eyes are following your every move. Each consecutive step feels heavier and more difficult. It’s dark now. As you go further, you reach forward to find your way by a sense of touch. Suddenly you feel a string of web tangle in your fingers. It’s too late. You shouldn’t have gone out searching for Teotihuacan at night. This is the domain of the Great Goddess and you’ve already fallen into her trap.

Chilling, Mysterious, Absolute


The Great Goddess of Teotihuacan is the supreme deity in this lost civilization’s Mythology and the final addition in the World of Myths line of leaders. She is as fascinating as she is dangerous and with all new and unique threats entering the game with the new expansion, you will need allies as deadly as her. Receiving her blessing will come at a dire cost, but the results can turn the tide of entire wars. Capturing the most valuable enemies with her webs, she can clear the board for your successful attacks.



The Spread of the Web


In some situations returning a single unit might not be enough to overcome your opponent’s power. Then you can call for support from other civilizations. The Keeper of the Calendar will be first to respond. Setting the clock ticking, you can sit and watch the horror in the eyes of your enemy while he tries to escape the inevitable.



In other cases, you might not want to return the most expensive unit to your opponent hand as they may have a powerful summon effect which you don’t want to be repeated. Then with the help of some Strange Concoctions you can manipulate the value of the units on the board and get the best result:



With all that sacrificing that The Great Goddess will require, it is no surprise that a Demon will rise from the depts of the scariest nightmares – Yahui, Lord of Sacrifice. He sensed the mass sacrificing and is here to take advantage of it and grow stronger.

Hope you had an amazing summer! Our summer was great, working on new features that you requested and improving World of Myths.

MesoAmerican Expansion


We are excited that really soon the World of Myths family will grow and the MesoAmerican Mythology will join be joining as the first expansion on 12th September! If you are a fan of ritual sacrifices, jungle monstrosities, and demons, if you prefer to crush your enemies with vicious attacks from your Leader, you will definitely be interested in what MesoAmericans have to offer! We have already revealed 3 of the new Leaders that will be available to play! Check them out:

New Game Modes


In just 2 months we managed to release 2 new Game Modes.

  • Tournament Mode - You can now create your own tournaments or join others!
  • Draft Mode - We have added a nice spin on this famous game mode!



Tutorial


The most common feedback we received was related to the starting experience of the game - the tutorial. It failed to explain major parts of the game and it wasn't involving enough.
We completely revamped the Tutorial - it now includes parts of the lore, voice acting, animations, extended explanations on game mechanics and you can even go back and replay it if you have forgotten some bits of it.

Weekly Cash Tournaments


After the success of our first big online tournament, we promised that we will start organizing weekly tournaments with cash rewards, free card packs for new players and merchandise.
You can read more on the weekly tournaments and the schedule here.
The first weekly tournament was won by Darkly and he had the chance to choose the next mini-Leader skin to be added to the game. He chose Athena and here is the result. If you want to choose the next skin to be added to the game, just make sure to join any of our events!



Music


We were often criticized on the music that we had in World of Myths. We decided to improve that area as well. Now you can enjoy 8 new tracks (2 per Mythology) while playing with your favorite Mythology!

End Of Season


We are also excited that World of Myths’ Ranked Season 1 is coming to an end! (Well, technically, it’s the second season but we, developers start counting at 0).

The Season will officially end with the release of the MesoAmerican Expansion on the 12th of September! You still have a chance to get your hands on one of those card backs and other rewards! More info here!

1. Revamped in-game interactions. Yes, again. We wasn't happy with the result from the previous rework. There were too many visual glitches. We are confident that with the current update those will be reduced to minimum. The current iteration also adds additional speed to the interactions.
2. Added postprocessing to the Main screen and the Game screen. Added visuals on the Main screen.
3. Added Mini Athena Skin, available for 1000 Diamonds.
4. You can now change active Mythology from the God menu.
5. Added Mythology specific music tracks.

Update 16 - v0.6.4.0

1. Completely reworked animations workflow. You no longer have to wait for all animations to execute and can queue multiple actions. IMPORTANT - as this is a major change it is expected to have visual glitches here and there. Our main priority will be to fix them all. You can expect daily hotfixes. You can report those glitches in the bug-report channel. If you can remember the actions you took to make the glitch - that would be great!
2. Completely reworked way to interact with spells. Spells that require targets can now be directly dragged to the target you want to choose. You no longer have to drop the spell and then choose a target. However, if you prefer that approach you can take it.
3. When you have to choose a target, the available targets will no longer have pop-up animation. They will be marked in red. The only targets that keep the animation are the ones for the middle temple.
4. Completely reworked how timers work. This will enable us to dynamically increase the time you have during your turn, based on animations.

1. Test of Faith - There was a bug with the current ability which made us realize that this is an effect that will be more suitable for the other card types that we have in mind for the future releases - Battle Orders and Temple Upgrades. So we decided to change the ability.
OLD: "Friendly attacking units have +1 Power for this battle."
NEW: "Friendly attacking units gain 1 Power."
2. Ring of Fire - The order is changed
OLD: "Enemy flank units lose 1 Power and 1 Endurance. Your Leader loses 1 Health."

3. Fixed Helenic Standard Bearer ("When your left flank unit is exhausted, ready it.") now properly working

1. Zeus - We feel that Zeus got in a similar spot as Thor a couple of weeks back - he was just a little bit too overpowered. They both needed a small change that will slightly reduce their power level not only for the current card pool but for the future as well. We will still keep an eye on Zeus and see how the data will change the following days.
OLD: "Pedestal: The first Curse you play each turn returns to your hand and gains Ethereal."
NEW: "Pedestal: Shuffle the first Curse you play each turn into your deck. It gains Ethereal and you draw a card."
2. Priest of Trickery
OLD: "Put a Wolpertinger on your left flank after you play a spell with Cost 1 or less."
