UPDATE #27 - GREETINGS, MOTHER!

V1.65



- The effect of hovering over monitors with options in the main panel has been improved.

- The positions of the Back Buttons have been harmonised so that when switching between screens there is no 'popping' effect.

- The messages with the text 'Greetings, Mother' all had a misplaced comma. This has been corrected. Sorry for the inconvenience.

- The size of the text in the combat results and the panel where they are displayed has been modified to prevent slider bars from being generated when a combat robot is destroyed.

- The size of the 'Suspicious Behaviour' event phrase has been trimmed to prevent it from generating slider bars in the Utopia Report screen.

- Bold text has been removed from the Utopia Report screen to make the text easier to read.

- Bold text in the tutorial has been removed to make it easier to read.
- Slightly changed the graphics representing the Isolation Room.

- Slightly modified the graphics representing the Energy Room.

- Other small graphical improvements.

- Some texts have been fixed.

WINDOW MODE

DarkGlam, a WOP player, had made a suggestion to be able to play the game in Windowed Mode.

MOTHER has obeyed.

UPDATE #26 - MOTHER STRIKES BACK

Due to the large amount of new citizens that the Steam Turn-Based Carnival festival has brought to Mother's Utopia, Mother has decided to make a new small update with a few improvements, some balancing and revisions.

Changelog 1.62



- New citizen images have been added for each of the classes for more variety. (for new games only)
- Added a new alert that warns the players when there is no way to rehabilitate traitors. In that case Mother will advise them to investigate Isolation Chamber, Electroshock or Soma.
- Revised code to select faction.
- The code of the Mother Viruses has been revised. Mother Viruses are now more effective in eliminating traitors launching cyber-attacks.
- Reduced the cost of building Virus from 300 to 150. (only for new games)
- Reduced the reward given by Mother when she commissions the task of building a dining room (600 -> 400).
- Now when you hover the mouse over the citizen code in the citizen record, you will also see this code reflected in the information screen below.
- Improved music behavior to avoid long music overlaps.
- The text of the 'No Atomic Bomb' alert has been modified.
- Slightly modified the symbol of the secret society 'The New Order'.

UPDATE #25 - MOTHER IS WATCHING

Changelog 1.61:

- Added a line of code that checks and recalculates the number of citizens to avoid errors.
- Added a line of code that checks and recalculates the number of citizens of each class at the end of each turn.
- Added a line of code that checks and recalculates the number of robots in enemy armies to avoid errors.
- Fixed a bug that didn't show correctly the casualties in enemy Security Robots.
- A bug has been corrected where having less than 5 energy prevented 'The Matriz' from being built even if the necessary resources were available.
- Fixed a bug that did not calculate correctly the number of citizens added to the Blacklist.
- Flickering of the text showing the citizen's happiness when accepting dilemma #15 (Free the isolated citizens) has been avoided.
- Fixed a spelling error in the 'Androids' technology text.

- Buildings and punishments better explained.
- Fixed a small bug that didn't count correctly the number of citizens for profession.

UPDATE #24 - MOTHER'S OVERHAUL

This new update revises and improves the graphics, music and texts.

Some graphics have been improved for a better game look, many images and texts have been aligned, and a new text font is used for monitor screen images.

As for the music, a new audio track has been added, and the playback code has been greatly improved to avoid long silences or music overlapping.

This is the changelog 1.6:


- Revised and improved some graphics.
- The icons of the game action buttons have been beveled and embossed to distinguish them from the information icons and to give them a better look.
- The music system has been modified and improved.
- A new music track has been added to the game.
- The text displayed on the monitors has a new font. The appearance of the monitors has been greatly improved.

SMALL CORRECTION TO THE MUSIC

- This is a small patch to make a minor correction to the music in the game.

UPDATE #23 - CHANGING ICONS

This update focuses on the rebranding of some icons and some slight improvements to the game.

Changelog v1.55:

IMPROVEMENTS
- The game's code has been debugged in some parts for greater fluidity.
- The fonts used by the game are now included in the compilation in case a player does not have those fonts installed on their computer (although they are common fonts).
- Reduced the time in which a music track is replayed. This avoids more silences in the game.
- Now when a citizen is assigned a job, he or she moves immediately to his or her place of work.
- Added new button in the Custom Game Settings to return to the main game panel.
- When the cursor is placed over the accuracy icon when a citizen is being watched, it now directly indicates the text message that the citizen is a traitor if he or she has been spotted.

CHANGES
- Changed the colour of the 'Quit Game' button in the options, so that it stands out more and there is no confusion.
- Changed the look of the 'Load' button in options.
- Changed the appearance of the Delete File or Delete List button.
- Changed the image of the Weapons button.
- Changed the image of the Build Mining Robots button.
- Changed the image of the Build Combat Robots button.
- Changed the image of the Build Science Robots button.
- Changed the image of the Protech secret society icon.

UPDATE #22 - MOTHER'S BIG UPDATE

This is possibly the best update the game has received to date.

Mother wants to make it easier for players to rule their Utopias, so It has provided the game with many new options to quickly find unhappy, unproductive or outright traitorous citizens (among other things), at the click of a button. Research turns have been reduced. This updare also offers more information to the player, and improved graphics.
All these changes have been focused on making the game even more fun.

Changelog v1.5:

IMPROVEMENTS
- The science panel has been improved and now displays more information.
- More information is now provided to the player on the calculation of the percentage of accuracy when observing a citizen.
- An improvement in the reporting of the total number of total insulation chambers constructed (regardless of whether they are being built or not) in the construction panel.
- When activating an alert to give the order to attack, the game will take into account the player's military power, and the alert will only be activated if the player is able to defeat at least one opposing faction.
- Mousing over the icons in the Task and Alert game panel now informs us what they are.
- Redesigned all graphics referring to the New Order Secret Society and the Temple of the Cult of Sirius.
- Redesigned the isolation chamber and a few other rooms.
- Some graphical improvements.
- Many graphics have been realigned.
- Many texts have been realigned.
- The text of the task monitor has been centred for better readability.

- Added much more information to each citizen's file when you mouse over the different data or buttons.
- Added new option in the citizen tab to search for the unhappiest citizen.
- A new option has been added to the citizens tab to search for who loves a certain citizen.
- Added new option in the citizen tab to search for unemployed citizens.
- Added new option in the citizen tab to search for discovered traitors.
- Added new option in the citizen tab that allows you to search for a citizen's love if they have been discovered.
- Added new option in the citizen tab to search for the citizen with the greatest sense of freedom.
- Added a new dilemma (#73): Rehabilitate traitor for 250 materials.
- Added a new event: Citizen with suspicious behaviour.

CHANGES
- Drastically reduced research time for technologies to encourage player progress.
- Lowered the threshold by which the player is warned that he has a low science output. (Now that research is cheaper, no higher number is needed).
- When a traitor is discovered through the View Citizen action, he or she becomes directly exposed and under surveillance.
- Reduced the cost of The Matrix from 10000 materials to 5000, and from 5 energy to 3.
- Increased from 15% to 25% the chance of rehabilitating a citizen by giving them Soma.
- Some texts have been amended.



Traitors now have a harder time escaping the all-seeing eye!

MINOR FIXES TO V1.3

Some corrections to the previous patch v1.3:

- Rival factions without territory will now have a military power of 0.
- Dropping an atomic bomb will now no longer require the player to have 1 construction point available.
