Level-looks & Plane-physics update


The update improves level-visuals, tunes planes, addresses some player-feedback and shrinks the install.

-Winter-themed levels with new mountains
-More agile planes (and a bit more arcade) by tweaking wing-locations, attack-angles and lift
-Fighter-jet now has Thrust Vectoring! Its possible to make some cool acrobatics
-Fighter-jet Horizon gyroscope (per request)
-Automatic elevator trim based on speed makes it easier to fly level and aim
-Improved plane AI
-Lowered FOV in zoom on monitor (per request)
-Less clouds in the sky typically (per request)
-A bit more agile pilot on-foot movement
-Shrunk the HD-install from 40GB to just over 5GB

Gameplay & Muzzle-flash patch


The Update changes how DEFEND mode is played; to create more tense moments, the carrier health is reduced, but carrier-repair powerups are more abundant. This means you will need to keep a closer eye on the carrier and powerups to reach a high-score - but if you do, you can reach higher scores than before. Also added light- and muzzle-flashes from firing guns which look particularly cool at night, and a defaults-controls change which is relevant if you are a new player or restore controls to default.

-Lowered carrier-health and added more repair-escorted powerups. This is to create more tense moments of low carrier-health, but also the ability to save the day.
-Added lights when firing from turrets and from explosion-light-bursts.
-Added muzzle-flash and lights when firing from planes and helicopters.
-Reorganized and re-labeled menu to hopefully be more intuitive.
-Removed flight-assist as an option, since it only seems to confuse people.
-Removed start-in-cockpit. Just taking focus from important options.
-Removed default gamepad controls to not confuse new VR players when both were active at same time before and they wondered why .

Update!



POWER-UPS:
-Per request: Added Carrier Missile Barrage powerup
-Added Slow-motion powerup. If you have it and zoom or fire, time will slow down to make it easier to aim.

BUG-FIXES:
-Per request:Added option to reset your score in case some levels wouldnt load
-Per request: Fix-attempt of CAP levels that dont trigger timer-finish

GENERAL GAMEPLAY:
-Added new level where you intercept alien transmissions
-Added that Mechs drops at intervals from the sky on Defend Mode
-Lasers are more plentiful and slowed down, for a bit more bullet-hell vibe
-Planes can go backward and there is an area on the carrier that will break the planes down much faster than plane can do on its own, so you can land planes and swap vehicle.

CAMERA:
-Improved DepthOfField and other camera-related improvements for monitors
-Added new external camera-locations for firing guns and missiles, mainly for monitor-play and making more interesting recordings, but also for VR-gameplay

Performance & Monitor- & SteamVR-controls update



It's been a while, and I'm afraid you long-timers will not find too much exciting here expect improved performance. I should be able to get some content-updates for next update, but looking at my reviews, almost all negative reviews are due to people not being able to play the game in the first place due to issues with controls. Please do let me know if you are still having problems (and if you do enjoy the game, the best way to support development is to write a short review).

General:

One Year Recap & Celebration!



While getting the game running with Unreal 4.22, which should bring some noticable performance-improvements, I thought it would be fun to look back over the year in Early Access, and sum up improvements made with Your awesome help and feedback. Thank You for your support!

Monitor-supprt:
-Including Lens-correction to counter distortion along edges (If you study your other games you will notice how things get enlarged and distorted quite disproportionally along the edges of the screen).
-Stronger LUT color-correction than in VR for a unique look&feel.
-DepthOfField for stonger sense of depth and distance.
-Dont forget to use ALT and Right-Stick to look around, and to toggle straight/nearest-enemy view with C/V.
Tweaks:
