Wormhole City Free, Epilogue News, Steam Cloud Update
Excited to announce that Wormhole City will be available for free as development nears its conclusion. I hope this game brought you some enjoyment and conveys some merit to the feedback and iterations made throughout the years. From early access to post-release, your help made this experience possible. Your compassion and encouragement carried this dream far past a point that was ever imagined. If you purchased this game, please e-mail zenrokstudios@outlook.com if you would like to be featured in the closing credits for future updates and projects. Thank you everyone for your support.
Currently, plans for expansion content must be delayed until further notice. A lot of work and progress has been made on new levels for 'Wormhole City Epilogue', but an official release date cannot be determined with confidence. The aspiration is to release levels with an episodic approach as Wormhole City continues on as a passion project. Given the overall performance and reception to this game, I hope this remorseful decision is understandable. Thank you everyone for giving more players the opportunity to amuse themselves with this digital diversion, thank you for playing it, and I hope to bring you better news again soon. Until then, Steam Cloud saves should be enabled!
4.21 Update, Discount Sale, Epilogue News
Unreal Engine Upgrade
Proud to announce that Wormhole City has upgraded from UE 4.18.3 to UE4.21.2! Bug fixes, optimizations, altered visuals and more interactions have been added. I hope these improvements satisfy some of the feedback thus far while more content is planned for release.
Developer Discount Sale
To celebrate this milestone, Wormhole City is now 50% off for a limited time! If you like what you see and want to support expansion and future projects from this indie developer, please share this announcement on social media!
Wormhole City Epilogue News
Being the first game development project, Wormhole City has been a tremendous learning experience with iterations that started four years ago. It is a blessing and honor to receive your support while committing to this dream.
Unfortunately, critcal and commercial reception is at a level that any future updates need to be evaluated for Wormhole City. Considerations for balancing ambitions, time, skills, personal health and a shoestring budget may force a new project altogether.
The hope for this update and sale is to help create Wormhole City Epilogue, a free expansion that uses third person gameplay, this year. Regretfully, due to personal and financial straits, the size and guarantee of this expansion may diminish without your help!
Thank you all for your time and support throughout the years. Stay tuned for more news and hope you all have a great weekend.
Thank you.
Wormhole City Epilogue News and Updates
Upcoming Updates
Thank you everyone for the wonderful support throughout the ages! New content is being prepared for 2019 and I hope it shows improvements appropriate to your feedback.
In the meantime, an upcoming patch will update Wormhole City from Unreal Engine version 4.18.3 to 4.21.2; along with improved optimizations and bug fixes, mouse hit under cursor is now much smoother and responsive for top down combat. This patch will also modify a few visual and gameplay aspects and is scheduled to be released very soon!
Wormhole City Epilogue Expansion
Wormhole City Epilogue takes place years into the future with a full third person experience and new levels of mecha-pilot combat. Investigate destructive ruins, interact with opposing forces and experience the bittersweet conclusion to this scifi episode!
While mecha combat keeps familiar run-and-gun features, on foot pilot levels will be slower paced with over-the-shoulder shooting and new environments to explore. The pilot interface uses a non-traditional hud displayed by your character to show health, munitions, and upgrades along with advice for your missions.
There is still a lot of work to be done, so expect this expansion to release by October at the earliest with our engine upgrade patch coming before that! Thank you all for supporting this game and I hope you have a healthy and prosperous 2019.

Wormhole City Breakdown and Dev Log for Update 1.01.14
Developer Notes
Hello everyone and thank you for your continued patience and support while Wormhole City's game development carries on. I hope to reciprocate all of the passion that has been given to this project by the amazing people who send their feedback as tough decisions will need to be made this year.
To preface and help understand the decision-making needed to be made, Zenrok Studios, when it comes to the development of Wormhole City, is a one-man effort that utilizes assets from different degrees of licenses to help lower production costs in making games. The aim of this approach, along with the release on Steam Early Access, was to gauge the interest players might have for making Wormhole City a full-time project.
Unfortunately this plan and our game's performance resulted in alarming results while life's obligations has strained development time. The responsibility of Wormhole City's delivery in its ambitions were met by shortcomings that were not prepared for this first entry into the video game medium.
With these circumstances in mind, the current plan is to iterate, add, and complete as much as possible and officially release Wormhole City in December 2018. Content and support is planned to continue after release until personal standards feels achieved. The pace of these plans and updates will hopefully show progress and programming improvements within the contents of Wormhole City as this update releases this year.

Changes
General Optimizations
Proud to say individual acts now fully incorporate level streaming. This should substantially decrease load times as alternatives seem to take longer. Extensive coding and levels changes have been made to help this effort as more menu option essentials are put in place.
Initial levels in the game now include more audio-visual cues and interactions, Improved user interface and HUD to Act 1 will show more events to encounter in each level. Levels had been expanded on to help give more clues into the story and the main character's conflicts.
Desert Hovercraft vehicle changed
Replaced previous vehicle in this level with a hover bike with improved controls and collision detection for current and any future driving segments.
Air/Space vehicle replaced with mech flying
There were many critiques with this flight level and to hopefully alleviate the aggravation players experienced, the space vehicle in this section has been replaced with flying mech gameplay, you are now able to fly or run using your mech with controls that should feel better than before. The space vehicle may return.
Act 2
This new addition to the story takes place a few days after the events of Act 1 where Acero Astra combats the mental aftermath and fatigue from conflicts for power and control in space. Wormhole City Act 2 will include 3 extensive combat scenarios that take place in Urban, Water, and Space environments.
The biggest gameplay change in Act 2 will be the camera and aiming controls for mech levels. With flying mechanics now involved, it became difficult to create a functional method to combat enemies above the player character. I hope this new gameplay style will exceed any enjoyment experienced from previous levels. Shifting camera angles will still be used for segments throughout the game. The plan is to add more weapons and functions that focus on mech combat as this project comes to conclusion.
Wormhole City's Future
Plans for Act 3's content will likely leave an opportunity for new stories in any future installments made to this universe. The hope is that most of this work can be extended from its gameplay, music, sound effects, voice acting, and one day multiplayer.
Thank you everyone and I hope the news for this upcoming update may give some optimism and excitement for Wormhole City's future.
