We're thrilled to announce that Wreckfest now supports PC multiplayer crossplay. For the first time ever, you can join the same lobbies with your comrades across Steam, GOG, and Epic Game Store platforms, uniting the playerbase. So from now on, it doesn't matter where you bought the game – you can now smash and crash your way to victory with all your friends and foes!
And wait, there's more. We're admittedly big fans of crashing here, but cars and of course not servers, so we've also gone and given the engine under the hood a fresh change of online oil in an effort to further improve server stability and make sure the servers can handle all the heat while you embark on your wrecking rampage on all platforms.
Update now and teach your buddies from GOG and Epic Store how to bend metal!
Minor Update
Hello everyone,
It came to our attention that the server CPU usage was increased after the previous update and after some investigation we identified the culprit - luckily it turned out to be something that was quick enough to address so we decided to release a hotfix right away so that weekend events could be saved. In addition to that aforemention fix, the server ping display in the server browser should be more reliable now.
Thanks for the feedback and happy wrecking!
Minor update
Howdy folks,
Another year, another rocking Wreckfest update! This admittedly minor update will resolve a number of online related issues we've become aware of as well as make it possible to bind keyboard keys again. The full list of issues addressed is as follows:
- It's possible to bind keyboard keys again. - Server ping is now shown correctly in the server browser. - Steam Friends > Recently Played With is now working correctly. - On Steam Deck, game no longer frequently crashes when entering Quick Match. - OpenSSL was updated to resolve vulnerability in the previous version.
We hope that the New Year is off to a fine start for everyone!
Happy Holidays from Bugbear!

Minor Update
Howdy folks,
We hope everyone is doing great today!
It's been a while but today we're releasing a minor update today that paves way for some exciting things. In the not-so-distant future, everyone who owns any of the PC versions of Wreckfest available at different platforms such as Steam, Epic, Xbox Game Pass and GOG will be able to join the same multiplayer servers and play online together! That time is not just yet, but today we're releasing an update that contains the technical, behind-the-scenes work that will make it possible soon. This work naturally affects multiplayer functionality, and while we don't expect any issues please don't hesitate to let us know in case you spot any oddities.
In other news, this update also resolves the issue in which leaderboards often failed to load correctly after launching the game. From now on, they should be always displayed correctly so that's great news for everyone.
And finally, we identified and addressed a rare case in which using a custom steering wheel controller (that is, a device not from the big three of Logitech, Thrustmaster or Fanatec) might have made the game crash so that should be now a thing of past too.
Should you run into any trouble, please do not hesitate to let us know. We're very grateful and appreciative of anyone who is still playing our game after all this time so just so that you know: a big thumbs-up to you!
Introducing Solo Tournament
All the best tournament challenges are back!
In case you're still missing some of the goodies from the tournament shop or just started playing, we have some great news to you: to give more players chance a chance to earn tournament points and reap the rewards, we are retiring the leaderboard based challenges and replacing them with solo challenges that will challenge you to best scores set by us. What this means in practice is that from now on you can complete tournament challenges at your own pace and earn fame to empty the tournament shop. And it's now easier too to score gold since we're pretty shoddy players so what's not to love?
As usual, the challenges are rotated every day, and even the longest lasting ones rotate every two weeks, so if you want to maximize your rewards make sure to check back often. Good luck, happy wrecking and have fun!
Wrecking Madness Tournament Update
HIGHLIGHTS
New tournament: Wrecking Madness
New free reward bundle for Warwagon
We're excited to announce the availability of a new tournament!
This time we're taking you back to Wrecking Playground so it's time for Wrecking Madness! The monthly event challenges you to score points by wrecking your car, destroying objects and getting airtime, all without without worrying about getting wrecked since resetting the car will repair it instantly. The weeklies offer an entirely different challenge, being timed events in which you need to collect the special Bugbear coins littered around the level as quickly as possible. The tournament shop has been restocked with a rocking new Warwagon "Warrior" bundle containing many cool upgrades and an unique paint job.
Additionally, this update will address a critical issue of the game crashing when quitting.

Racing Legends Tournament Update
HIGHLIGHTS
New free track: Torsdalen Circuit
New tournament: Racing Legends
New tournament reward bundles
We're excited to announce the availability of a new tournament!
And it's not only the tournament, but there's new free track too! As some of you might have already guessed, the name of the track is a homage to the ever-prolific modder Tor Ole Lerbæk who is perhaps better known in the community by his alter ego Very End, whose handiwork this gorgeous rallycross style track is for the most part. The track comes in two layouts, main and short, in both forward and reverse configurations.
In keeping with the spirit of the new epic track, the tournament challenge is all about racing too. We're tasking you to chase the opponents using Roadslayer GT. You probably already know the drill: the better your position the more score you earn per each meter traveled, plus you get bonus score for each lap as long you keep up a good pace. The best racers (or those who already have enough fame points in the bank) can claim a new paint bundle for the Roadslayer GT from the tournament shop, and while at it, it's also worth checking out the new paint job for the Tristar that's another new addition in the tournament shop.
