We’ve started with overviews of some English levels and what they are all about. Today we’re bringing you more story behind the character you will be playing during the British Campaign.
The English Rebuilder is a young man eager to work hard for his fellow countrymen's future. His hometown in central England avoided the war turmoil, and the boy himself was too young to enlist, even though he really wanted to.
As he writes in his memoir, he and other workers set on a train journey to London to help rebuild the capital. On the way they encountered the destroyed Gimbert Station that needed to be fixed before continuing the ride. When they reached London, they were sent to work on the Necropolis Station, where the experience gained in Gimbert came in handy during the tasks you could’ve read about in our other devlog. Finally, when the heavy equipment arrived, the Hero could start the real demolition and construction works in the City of London district.
The English Rebuilder faced in London some painful memories which, however, are the source of his determination:
“A few miles south of here, the guns of some German Messerschmitt ended my big brother’s life. Thanks to the sacrifice of his, as well as of many other pilots, originating not only from the states of the Commonwealth, but also from Poland and Czechoslovakia, there is still anything left to be rebuilt here.”
There are no words for how horrible and cruel the war is, but our game wants to bring some peace and hope for the future,
This is not the end of the English Rebuilder’s journey - stay tuned for the next devlogs to learn about other British levels!
What do you think of our Hero? As always, share your thoughts in the comments down below!
This week we're continuing our m,ap presentation, and this time 'the main attraction' of English Zone- CITY OF LONDON
During The Blitz, most of the London was devastated with raids. Even the old parts of London didn't stand a chance agains German bombing and raids. Shocking as it was, because everybody thought that the strets that seemend to belong to Empire's safe core, this was the reality of The Blitz.
What's our story? After other tasks, our Hero lands in London where he is assigned to rebuilding the streets near St. Peters' Cathedral. Surroundings have markings of The Blitz, the street was hit by the bomb, buildings are destroyed by the plane wreck and other bombs, bear traces of fire or are badly damaged overall.
What's more?
There is an photograph in the archives with a hole in the ground with a bus. This exact bus can be taken out of the ground by you with the crane
Some buildings are beyond repair. Those can be destroyed with our machines.
As we've mentioned earlier before, you can see St. Peters' Cathedral, untouched in the background of the city
Buildings that are beyond repairing, can be replaced with different ones or parks.
So, that's all for the country of England. How do you feel about the map? Write down in comments your thoughts and ideas for the future.
As you may noticed, works got more intense and because of that, we can share with you of the goods we are preparing for the future.
This week will be little bit grime, but it's important part of the history, so here it goes
Introducing: NECROPOLIS
According to history books, Necropolis station was created for mourners and the dead to transport them outside of the city to Brookwood Cemetery. The reason was owergrowth of the deceased century ago and cities begun to be ravaged with plauges, because of that. During The Blitz the place was bombed and the chapel and the waiting room were ruined, the railroad was disconnected and the trains where either burned down or destroyed.
Our storyline begins with our Hero, who as one of many volunteers wanted to join the reconstruction of the fallen London, but because of his experience after rebuilding Gimpert, he's being assigned to work on rebuilding Necropolis.
Okay, so what you can expect in this map?
We tried to show the entrance to Necropolis as close as it is possible to the original
One of your tasks will be fixing one of the engine that will be lifted. Extra task will be replacing old wheels with new ones that will be hidden all over the map
Remember that the chapel was one of the things that was destroyed by the bombs? Now you will be able to rebuild it according the the original and as a great way as a comparison for before and after.
Another mission will be helping one of the clerks in finding lost documents and a coffin
Remember the 'Keep calm..' phase that flooded the internet few years ago? Originally the 'Keep Calm and Carry On' poster was created to help people of London get through The Blitz and normalise thow whole situation.
Okay that's it for now!

The model was called Caterpillar D8 and was fitted with armor for protection. Further, bulldozers were produced in preparation for the Battle of Normandy with the tasks of clearing the invasion beaches of obstacles and quickly making roads accessible by clearing rubble and filling in bomb craters.
Our giant was created to remove any heavy debris lying on flat surfaces.
