Controller problems



We have noticed that many players are having issues with the new controller handling that came with the last update. We have made some controller related changes on the Steam Partner page that might solve the issue.

Explanation:
If the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4 or Generic Controller support is checked in Big Picture mode, this results in input control being lost. The setting of Steam Controller API has to be set to ENABLED to make the controller work.

If Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4 or Generic Controller support is unchecked in the Big Picture mode, then the setting of Steam Controller API (enabled or disabled) in the game is not relevant and the controller(s) are handled by Xinput instead.

Steam Controller API option works properly when a Steam Controller is used. Enable turns on it, disable turns off it.

If a controller with Steam Controller API is used, then the game disables Xinput because we have found an issue during the development that prevents that execution in some cases. Because of this, pushing of, for example, the button A, is detected twice, that caused double click on a menu setting, for example, because its signal was transmitted through Steam Controller API and Xinput too.

We still like to thank all the players and fans for all the help and support in the Early Access period. We will continue to fix bugs and tackle issues that are currently in the game.
We may not directly address every bug thread, but we are aware of what is happening in the Steam discussion forum.
