Hotfix Patch 21391 is primarily a bug fix and quality-of-life update. We tried to tackle some of the more frustrating issues we were seeing, like players getting stuck in the middle of nowhere when trying to log in, Public Events behaving inconsistently, Brimm not offering the proper quests, and godstones losing settings on logout. There were also a number of stability fixes behind the scenes as well.
We added some QOL improvements to the World Map, including toggling various icons on/off, and making fast travel points easier to click on. PTR is also fully set up now, so Oculus and Steam players with existing Skywave accounts can switch channels and opt into the PTR program.
New Features/Systems
New PTR opt-in/sign up flow for people who switch to the PTR channel. (21156)
World map icons: you can now toggle different types of map markers on/off (for example, Main Story quest locations and Side Quest locations). (21118)
Display fast travel markers on top of everything else on the World Map to make it easier to click on them. (21129)
General
Fixed Amara's Tears not showing up in Turtletop. (21093)
Fix for players getting stuck in the air in Galian Plains upon login. (21185)
Fixed players getting stuck on the loading screen when trying to log in. (21185)
Godstones
Grant any missing godstones on login. This fix affects players that leveled up a few levels at once and didn't receive the godstones for the levels in the middle. (21234)
Small fix to some buggy godstone nodes that were not applying buffs/effects properly. (21258)
Fixed an issue where selected godstones would not stay equipped after logging out, which meant re-equipping all the godstones when logging back in. (21259)
Fixed issue where points that were allocated to godstone nodes weren't saving properly, so people had to redo their godstone nodes every time they logged in. (20972)
Fixed the lag when interacting with the godstone screen (21135)
Public Events/Invasions
Partial fix for defend events randomly losing health even when enemies were not entering the defend zone. (21240)
Partial fix for the occasional loss of Zen and/or Amara's Tears after logging out. (21253)
Partial fix for the issue with Invasions where one event shows success AND failure at the same time (and ultimately fails, ending the invasion early). (21100)
Quests
Fixed an issue where you wouldn't be able to see locked quests from NPCs even after meeting the requirements, causing an empty dialogue box. (21277)
Known Issues
Characters created before linking Discord to your Skywave account do not have their reward items. This will be fixed in a later patch.
- This patch addresses some of the biggest issues seen in the last patch (freezing, crashing, etc), along with fixing some bugs with Invasion Event rewards and Epic armor stats. Several of the side quests were causing the game to be unplayable for many, but we are happy to report that the fix is in this patch as well. - Thank you to everyone who helped by sending bug reports and info over the past week!
New Features
- In preparation for public betas and regular releases, the game client now checks for the current minimum version and requires an upgrade if it's too old (20927)
Resolved Issues (change sets)
- Updated the current Level 40 Epic equipment to have the same stats as the retired Level 40 Legendary equipment to make sure the new gear is no longer a downgrade (20922) - Godstones now show that their XP is maxed out instead of just ceasing to gain XP in the middle of a level (20924) - Fixed Blade Master Epic Armor in Synth Stations (20943) - Fixed a bug in certain quests that could cause frequent freezes and crashes until those quests were either completed or abandoned (20990) - Fixed invasion events not giving rewards to everyone (20994) - Improved performance and stability on Oculus Quest. Crashes from teleporting and traveling between zones are less likely to happen. (20996)
Known Issues
- The freezes and crashes should be resolved with this hotfix but we may have missed specific hardware/character configurations that could still cause this.
- Characters created before linking Discord in Skywave do not have their reward items. This will be fixed in a later patch.
- Godstone point allocation being reset (select upgrades for Godstone, log out, log back in and need to select again). Workaround: None yet
- Skipped a level and didn't get the Godstones from the skipped levels. Workaround: The next time you level up (regardless of role) they will be granted. A more robust fix is also coming in a later patch.
- Recipes disappearing from inventory. Workaround: None yet
Hotfix Patch v20915
This is a quick hotfix patch to adddress a few of issues that occurred from the previous patch, and fix a few extra bugs.
Bug Fixes - Fixed Arboruht Worldboss Telegraph, so you now know exactly where conal AOEs will fall - Invasion events were previously broken during the second phase, these have been fixed – in addition, invasion events will spawn every 15 minutes instead of every 40, so get ready to get those materials! - Fixed an issue for some, where picking up an item would cause a lag spike - Enemies can no longer be pulled all the way to the entrance, causing griefing to be much harder. - Player level scaling per zone fixed so that higher level players will be 2 levels more powerful, instead of at the same level of the zone. - Fixed an issue where a lone pirate would spawn in the mines.

We cannot thank you enough for believing in what we’re building with Zenith. We know we have a long way to go (at least until we reach where WE want Zenith to be), but we’re just getting started and this journey of building Zenith is going to be so much better with all of you a part of it! We are absolutely blown away by how much love and support you’ve already shown and it has encouraged and motivated us to want to work even harder to make Zenith not only our dream game, but yours also.
Listening and Transparency
Transparency and Doing Right By The Player is a core tenet of Ramen VR’s DNA and we’ll always do our best to share everything we’re working on. At the same time, our biggest strength is our ability to change directions quickly based on community feedback, so we will not project our complete long term roadmap as it’s constantly changing and shifting. Understand that we just want to be careful about creating expectations that may change.
We will, however, strive to confirm all of the features that will eventually be in Zenith, just understand that we can’t always commit to an exact timeline.
Anyway, it’s been one crazy and exciting adventure already launching Zenith and we’re excited to show you just a little of what we’ve been working on now:
Completed Already Post Launch
- Server stabilization and increased capacity:
With crazy high numbers of people logging into Zenith all on launch day, our team worked around the clock to balance and optimize server loads and also handle elusive scaling issues that no amount of load toasting was able to reveal beforehand. We also increased capacity by 15% per server.
- Remove Shard Locking
We then pushed out an update that removed shard locking so that players could more easily join different servers that their friends were on or switch servers for other reasons if they wanted without needing to wait 24 hours.
- Fixed multiple voice chat and login issues
Though there’s still some things we’re working on, the most glaring voice chat and login issues have been resolved. We’re now seeing the vast majority of people getting in the game when they want to play and having a smooth experience.
By the way, if you had submitted a support ticket, we just want to thank you for your patience as we tried to work through those as fast as possible, but couldn’t often respond as quickly as we would have liked. In just the first couple days, we received over 3,000 support tickets and we were also working around the clock to help everyone as quickly as possible. This week, we hired an additional support agent to help get that response time lower.
Minor Content Update Coming This Month
- In Game Alerts
We know it’s frustrating when a server restarts while you’re in-game because you didn’t get the notification on Twitter or our Discord about it happening (all the sudden, your hands just freeze in an awkward position because the server is offline). We’ve built out a new system for in-game alerts so we’ll now be able to communicate better to players with important, time sensitive updates.
- New Quests
We’ve added 23 new sidequests including quests in each biome to make leveling up more fun and diverse.
- Reworked Quests
We completely re-worked the quest line and tutorials for the fractured plains to be easier to understand for people just getting into the game and to be a bit less grindy.
- New Armor Tier
We’ve added a new tier of endgame armor and weapons that will give players something new to work towards obtaining in the end game.
- Arboruht Tuning
Tuned the Arboruht balance to make him both more challenging, fun and to give out better feedback while battling.
- Fixed several armor visual glitches
- Improved Animations
Upgraded and tweaked animations of the quest NPCs to bring out more of each character’s distinct personality
- Fixed Crossbuy Issue
Fixed an issue with a very small percentage of cross-buy users who were unable to access the Rift version of the game
-UI Improvements
Made improvements to the UI to make progression clearer and explain certain things that were a bit confusing.
- Misc Improvements
Lots of other general stability and quality of life improvements and game balance.

PSA: Zenith Release Day
Hey Zenitheans! We’re absolutely humbled by the overwhelming response to Zenith. With the absolutely insane number of players logging in at the same time, know that there WILL be occasional server issues the next couple days and we’ll just need time to continue optimizing and adjusting loads to the current demand (MMO launch day pains 😦 ).
The server load issue is due to our login servers hitting API limits with our cloud providers currently. We are doing our best to work with them to fix these issues ASAP, and will give frequent updates here.
Know that these issues will be resolved. We understand that there may be a lot of you that are frustrated with the login issues and we apologize. We will do everything we can to get things up to the level of performance you deserve. In the interim, we ask that you please be understanding in these next few days and that access may be degraded while we work round the clock to fix this.
