Close Quarters Training Minimum effective ranges are no issue anymore with the new Close Quarters Training as this skill reduces the minimum effective range of a weapon by 40%! This could also be great for those hunting trips when you don’t want to carry a short-range secondary weapon. Weapon classes applicable: Assault Rifles Tier 2, DMRs Tier 2, Sniper Rifles Tier 3
Fast Focus Speed is your middle name with the Fast Focus skill. Hover over the target with the cursor to make the cross-hair shrink more quickly. Weapon classes applicable: SMGs Tier 1, Assault Rifles Tier 1, DMRs Tier 1, Sniper Rifles Tier 1
Marksmen Awareness Shout out to our Hunters who love a good snipe but hate the restriction, we’ve created the perfect skill for you! When using a weapon while scoped, you will be able to partially see the area beyond the reticle interface, while the cross-hair will also be instantly visible. Weapons classes applicable: DMRs Tier 1, Sniper Rifles Tier 1
Penetrating Shot Mobs have no chance against you now, as a killing shot will result in the bullet continuing on its path to hit a target behind the first enemy! Weapons classes applicable: SMGs Tier 3, Shotguns Tier 3, Assault Rifles Tier 3, DMRs Tier 3, Sniper Rifles Tier 3
Reload Artist: Speed Reload Bullets go brr with this skill! Double-pressing the reload button will speed up the reload process of magazine-fed weapons. However, any ammunition already in the magazine will be lost. Weapon classes applicable: Pistols Tier 2, SMGs Tier 1, Shotguns Tier 2, Assault Rifles Tier 1, DMRs Tier 2

Developer Update 2024 Vol.5
Hello Hunters,
Our next update 0.51 is on its way and arriving early next week!
As revealed in our updated road map, 0.51 focuses heavily on bringing major Quality of Life features to the game that will improve and hopefully maximise your gameplay experience. We’ve also squashed a lot of those pesky bugs that we know have been immensely frustrating whilst you’ve been out exploring Zakov.
The full list of patch notes will be available next week, but let’s take a peek at a few of the highlights included in this patch.
We’ve added a new feature in the gameplay settings that will now allow you to change the minimum and maximum range of your guns relative to their base setting.
We’ve added a new feature in the gameplay settings that will now allow you to change the minimum and maximum range of your guns relative to their base setting.
There has been a lot of feedback related to the gun gameplay since 0.40, which we really appreciate and have been continuously working through. We hope this new slider will alleviate some of your frustrations towards the shooting mechanics and offer you a brand new way to tailor your experience in ZERO Sievert. We are also still working on the new skill system and weapon-based levelling system to bring you an even more gratifying weapon experience. More details on this will be coming soon!
We’ve also removed the ability to pause the game when Alt-tabbing. This has resolved many of the issues the community we’re facing when Alt-tabbing (in the trade menu in particular). In light of this new change, please remember that if you want to pause the game before tabbing, to do so manually.
We’ve managed to squash over 40 bugs for this particular update but wanted to quickly highlight some of the ones that have been obstructing optimal gameplay.
Gameplay
Extraction points and Points of Interest being inaccessible should be fixed across the board (excluding lesser buildings like houses in the Forest).
Trading price modifiers now function and price settings are now applied for all items.
Daily Quests do not reappear if removed in the PDA
Inventory Issues
Ammo no longer disappears from a weapon when pressing Alt + Tab during reload
Items no longer disappear from the player inventory & stash after pressing Alt + Tab
Items are no longer removed from the inventory when pressing Alt + Tab while in the Trade window
We’ve also fixed various controller related issues, crash occurrences and various localisation text issues. These are just to name a few and as mentioned the full list of details will be revealed in next week’s patch notes.
Here is the updated road map we also shared last time for those that missed it.
As always, thank you for your ongoing patience and support for ZERO Sievert. Your continuous feedback has been pivotal in improving the game’s ongoing development and if you haven’t already make sure to join our Discord as this is the best place to provide feedback.
We hope you are looking forward to next week’s release, but until then, stay safe hunters!

Hotfix: 0.50.3 now available
Today we've released the planned 0.50.3 patch to the game, which fixes the issue around some mission objective quest text that was missing.
We're aware that there are still some instances where quest text isn't fully appearing as intended, although in these cases the objective locations should still be visible once you take the train to the relevant map.
We expect this to be fixed in 0.51, which is due towards the end of July, and is the build the team is now working on. Happy Hunting!
Hotfix: 0.50.2 now available
As mentioned last week, we've now updated to 0.50.2 which fixes the issue of losing stashed items when upgrading the hideout.
We now have build 0.50.3 in testing which includes a fix for some of the mission objectives that are missing text since 0.50, and we're aiming to release that later this week.
With those two key issues fixed, focus will turn back to the ongoing work for the Quality of Life patch 0.51, which will aim to fix a number of lower priority (but still irritating!) issues that have been accumulating, and we're intending to include some controller and UI updates, all being well. A full list of patch notes will be available then 0.51 releases, which we still expect to be later in July, as laid out in the last devblog.
I know we say 'thank you for all your patience and support etc' at the end of most messages, but we really do mean that. The whole ZERO Sievert team really appreciates the ongoing feedback and bug reporting.
Known issue: Stash disappearing when upgrading storage
First off, thanks to everybody who's reported the disappearing stash when upgrading storage issue. Obviously, we understand this is a really irritating bug and we appreciate how frustrating it is to lose your hard-earned items.
The good news is that the cause of the issue has been identified, and a fix is now going through testing. We currently expect this to be released early next week (although if any other issues come to light as a result of this fix and that plan changes, we will of course let you know).
Meanwhile, there is a workaround until the fix is in place - if you make sure to have your stash open while applying the upgrade, your items should be safe.
Thanks as always for your support and patience as we work through Early Access!

Over 100 issues have been tackled since 0.40. A small sampling of some of the issues the team have tackled since the last update include: Implemented Steam Deck and controller revisions to improve player experience - further improvements are in the works.
Fixed a bug where equipped items were disappearing on using Alt+Tab after buying/selling an item to a Trader
Fixed a bug where opening and closing the Trade menu in quick succession would crash the game
Fixed a crash that would occur during Inventory Sort options after using Alt+Tab
Fixed a crash which occurred when adjusting the in-game language and then attempting to load a previous save
Fixed a crash which occurred when the user joins a second faction
Fixed a bug where Crimson Corp/ Green Army could not be joined
Fixed a crash that would occur when scrapping items placed on selling slots from the trader's menu
Fixed a bug where user's items could be placed in the trader's inventory
Fixed a bug user's items could be rebought if they're placed in trader's selling slots

Some areas of the game that will be getting future updates have yet to be translated. If you do find untranslated text, please report this to us so we can make sure this is the case.
Players may experience issues with controller when in the inventory and there is more than 1 slot being taken up by the item
Players may experience missing items and misaligned items when playing with controller
Most Alt+Tab issues have now been fixed, however there may be instances where issues could still occur. To combat this we would advise to not repeatedly use ALT+tab too often.
Moving items to sell and then pressing Alt+tab and then opening the trade window again may still remove the item from the inventory. - Once the trade window has been closed and reopened again, the items will reappear.
Aware of a crash that can occur when minimising/resuming game and using a crafting station with multiple inputs.
Equipped armour can become permanently applied to the player.
Game runs at a reduced speed when the Frame Limit is capped at 30 FPS on Steamdeck. - We suggest you don’t do this to combat the issue
Cloud saves involving your syncing to other devices need further investigation.
Game has a placeholder splash screen during the boot up sequence on Steam Deck.
These known issues will be in the pipeline for update 0.51 - which we are already working on alongside a plethora of other quality of life updates for you, estimated for release in early July.
Continuously improving ZERO Sievert based on your feedback is a priority to us, so thank you so much for all your feedback and definitely keep the reports coming!
As always, Happy Hunting!
