-I've overhauled the way the players are leveling up. It's now made slightly harder for everyone to level up (instead of shooting once, and gaining the first level the first time you play..) and for players who have OverKilled their profile, the process is even tougher after each OverKill Perk.
-No more handless folks on your avatar, nor on multiplayer!
-Upgraded BGv23 can now be reloaded again (yay!)
And that's about it. Have fun ya all!
1.4 is. right. HERE! New weapons and a-lot more!
NEW WEAPONS!
Protect your freedom, with THIS!
Put on a suit, and go on a rampage!
Zombies? #BOOM# What zombies?
Is it a brainfart? Is it a pistol? No. It's. The Murphy
Pickup your cowboy boots, 'n other cowboy stuff. And go on a hunt!
IMPROVED CLOUD SAVING!
-It's all faster, and better now! But WARNING! Please keep in mind that the cloud saves from 1.4 version WILL FAIL TO WORK on older versions! (And you will probably even get an error if you try to do that) Other way around everything works as supposed though!
EVERY SINGLE WEAPON HAS BEEN TWEAKED!
-Some weapons aren't so wimpy anymore, other weapons aren't so OP anymore. Explosions have been buffed up a-lot as well. Go ahead, give the weapons a go now!
NEW WEAPON SPAWNS!
-The weapon pickup system has been changed. Now, instead of 1 weapon on every spawn point, there is 3 weapons on almost every spawn point through the map! We have also added few spawns here and there, and added new weapons from the fridge to be picked up!
-After you purchase a weapon, new weapon will spawn there when the next round starts!
EVEN MORE BLOOD!
-Because of my amazingly awesome intelligense, I was able to change one number in the game that now allows ZKW to be EVEN BLOODIER THAN EVER! There's no such thing as "too much blood" (If you think it's possible. I'm not very sure why you're looking at ZKW's store page. Go on now. Shoo)
NEW CROSSHAIR
-People with dual monitors! Don't be afraid! You won't be loosing your crosshair in the middle of a battle anymore! Yepee!
BUGS!
-And quite the opposite of that. I have succesfully fixed some bugs in the game, optimized the code even more, and done other under-the-hood improvements! It goes without saying, that, with these improvements, there WILL be new bugs around. If (or should I say, when) you see any new bugs, please report them in to the bug-reports section right here:
-It's been a rough week for me, doing 10+ hour days at the construction site, and it's almost midnight here. So my writing might not be purrfect and all. Ok so, I guess that's all. Maybe go pewpew som zomzom? Yes? Good.
NEW WEAPONS! Oh YES!
New weapons!!
-First time, in the history of ZKW-Reborn, NEW WEAPONS will be added!
5 new weapons to be exact!
Yadayada. What are they?
Protect your freedom, with THIS!
Put on a suit, and go on a rampage!
Zombies? #BOOM# What zombies?
Is it a brainfart? Is it a pistol? No. It's. The Murphy
Pickup your cowboy boots, 'n other cowboy stuff. And go on a hunt!
What else?
Oh, so much more! Every single weapon has been tweaked, explosions have been improved, new crosshair has been added, bots AI has been slightly tweaked, under the hood improvements, falloff-damage to weapons, 5 new weapons, new weapon pickup system (will be explained later), and ofcourse.. EVEN MORE BLOOD!
When are we going to get these awesome things?
Next wednesday. That's 10th of this month!
Cool. Why has this taken so long?
I'm not too comfortable talking about money, but I've been short on it lately. This has forced me to do some "real" work, which has left me really exhausted. But don't worry! As soon as this little "situation" is over, I'll be working full time on ZKW again!
Let me help?
You can actually help soon enough. We're going to bring the old maps from the 2013 version to Reborn! 4 maps in total.
This will be a buyable DLC, and the price will range anywhere from 1-2USD
As soon as this weaponry update is released, we'll focus on the old maps.
Thank you all for your amazing support so far guys!
I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you!
Keep your heads up, or well.. Keep yer heads, and slay some zombies for me!
New weapons!?
Oh what's that? You want new weapons for ZKW-Reborn? Did I hear you right? Now did I?
You have been heard!
New update, balancing ALL of the weapons ZKW-Reborn currently has, changing the way weapon pickups work (more on that later!) and NEW, NEVER BEFORE SEEN (well, in ZKW atleast) WEAPONS!
There will be atleast one new type of RIFLE, one new SMG, SHOTGUN, and PISTOL in this update! And more!
Can you guess what these weapons will be?
Changing the way weapon pickups work!
Instead of every weapon being in one place at all times (which is.. well.. Kinda lame, if you think of it) there will be different weapon TIERS placed in the maps! (like that helps) So, instead of one weapon being in place X, there will be 3 weapons now on that spot! Now hang on to your horsies! These weapons will be RANDOMIZED every time they're purchased, so you won't be looking that UZI, or Thomps.. oops. on the same place all of the time!
Cool. When are we going to get this update?
This update is going to be huge, but we're working on it hard! Hopefully we'll get everything working (with the new weapons, there's a-lot of stuff that needs to be done on the Cloud saves again and such..) within a month! After this update, we'll start working on the campaign mode.
Stay trigger happy!
Campaign mode for ZKW?
Here's a picture of a doge.
Now that I have your attention, let me ask you something.
ZKW, and campaign mode.
Yay, or nay?
Let me explain a bit further.
I'm sure all of you already know, that after the first few hundred rounds, ZKW tends to get boring. I've tried to come up with multiple ideas that would make the game more interesting, even on the later rounds, but nothing seems to be working for long.
So, this one particular idea has been in my head for a few years already, but I never haven't had enough time, or interest to make it happen.
So, this campaign mode. The gameplay wouldn't be changed too much. You could still play as long as you wanted, BUT with a little twist. Once you've gotten to round X, a door would open. Or any other kind of transition thing (train, car, plane.. Hole?) in which you could enter, and you would then go to another area of the map. So, let's say you're in Abandoned Hospital. The door opens, and you go in there. Boom, you're now in another section, as big as the first one, of the hospital.
Each level would have 3-5 sections in total, and once you've finished them all, you win. Yes, sounds weird? Winning in ZKW? Well, yes. You would win, survive another day. But you could still just stay, in any of these sections, and make your last stand, just like now.
So, any ideas? What does this make you feel?
1.3.1 Update, with OverKill, new zombie, and more!
Finally! What's new?
Well.. Here we go:
OverKill
-Probably the biggest update in a loong time! OverKill system is something that lets the most hardcore players continue their joyrney with even more awesome, and new stuff even after hours of playing! With OverKill, everything you do, is OverKill! Let me explain briefly.
Once player levels up to LVL41, she/he will be given a option, to reset their leveling progress for an exhange of OverKill perk. There are a few OK perks in this update, but more will come some time in the future! One of these perks, is this little thing, that allows you to choose two perks, instead of one!
PS. If you're level 80 or over, don't worry! OverKill resetting will only take away 40 levels from your progress! Which means, that if you're a LVL80 (for example) you can select TWO OverKill perks in total!
New zombie!
-This one is a high roller. If you see one of these. Run. You may have a chance of getting away.
New clothing!
-A weird scientist and his sidekick are here to kick some zombie butt!
Bugs fixed!
-Mister "Nope, not coming" -Tank has changed his mood, and will make an appearance from now on when he's supposed to!
-Other silly bugs fixed
-Some silly bugs added? Who knows?
So, what took you so long, eh?
-Well, that is a good question. I don't really know the answer even myself.. I've really lost the motivation for making games a few months back, and I'm still trying to get it back. It's really frustrating, as I would have tons and tons of cool ideas for ZKW, and for other games, but I just don't have the motivation to do anything about it.. Really sucks. But don't worry. I'm not ditching ZKW. Nope. I'm just making progress slowly. I hope you understand this, and just give me some time.
Ok, that's that! Go slay some zombieeeess!
Profile servers down
Some sad news everybody.
You're having problems with registration, logging in, multiplayer, or anything else that has something to do with online?
You're not alone.
This morning, I discovered that there might have been an attack on our servers. I've already contacted our server providers about this, and we'll see how we can get this situation fixed. Unfortunately, as it is weekend right now, it might take a few days before we can get this solved but please, try to understand. There's really nothing more I can do at this point, as I can't even access to the servers myself. So, just sit tight!
ps. You can still play the game (single-player) without any actual problems. Your progress just won't be saved in the cloud at this point.
EDIT:
It seems that the problems are now fixed! Enjoy! :)
Massive update on it's way!
So, you still care, eh?
Ofcourse I care! Don't even ask something like that. Geez.
Anyways, as you know, it's been a long time since the previous "proper" update, and now I'm here to fix that.
I thought you were too lazy for that?
True.. True.. Well, not really.
I just lost my motivation entirely for some reason. But now I'm getting it back! If everything goes well, you will be getting a new, proper, update for ZKW next weeks Friday! (22.4.2016)
So, what's in this, "proper", update then?
Actually, I'm not yet sure about it all. I have so many ideas I want to make. But! One thing is for sure atleast.
You will be getting fancy..ed new player-menu (well, I just made it more fancy, that's all) and..
OverKill
Overkill is something that's really made for veteran ZKW players. Once you level up to Level 40, you will be given a option to reset your profile (well, only your level, really) and by doing so, you can select one of these OverKill "Perks". Currently, there are 6 of them, but I might be adding even more. I'm not going into details of what these special perks are just yet, but let me tell you.. They can change the gameplay very dramatically.
Also note, that it's not a must for someone to reset their profile. You can play to level 100 if you like. But if you do, you will actually be able to choose 2 OverKill perks! Let me explain.
When a player chooses to reset their profile for an OverKill perk at Level50, their profile will be resetted only to Level10. So, choosing an OverKill perk makes you go back 40 levels. Which means, that all those veteran players with Level80, or more, havent actually done it all for nothing!
I'll also note you, that it is possible to achieve every OverKill perk there is, as they are infinite. Once obtained, it will stay on forever (unless you choose to start a whole new game, that is) There still are couple OverKill perks, that only work once, and you can't select them anymore after it's been used.
I really hope this makes any sense to you, but if not, don't worry. You'll see what's up next week!
Keep slaying, and I keep developing!
Hot-patch, and Level-Editor update is here!
Again, I'm so sorry it's been so long since the last proper update. This time, I thought I'd atleast try to add something new in the game, and so I did.
Great words and all.. But what's new then?
-Almost 100 entitys, grounds, and backgrounds for Level-Editor, taken from the "Area 73" map for everyone to use!
-Server glitch is now fixed
-Some other small bugs
Wow.. That was.. A-lot.
Anyways, keep slaying the zombies!
Problems with the multiplayer servers!
Great! Now what?
I'm really sorry it took me so long to realize, but there's actually a bug in ZKW-Reborn that prevents ZKW from connecting any other servers, except one.
So currently, ZKW is running on one server, instead of two. This causes problems for some players, as the server tends to be full of "ghost players" and I can't even reset the server without destroying someones game..
Unfortunately, I'm not home right now, I don't have the possibility to compile a fix for this yet, but I will be doing that next Monday or Tuesday.
Again, I'm really sorry for this inconvenience :(
Please don't kill me.
