New Patch Friday 1.2.25!

But, 1.2.24 comes after 1.2.23? Right?
Well, yes. But I just felt like skipping a number this time. Because I can.

Multiplayer optimization!


And a ton of that! I have started implementing a new system within the game, that can split the sent data in half. This is still on experimental stage, so if weird stuff starts to happen (dying awkwardly to the pink zombies is not a bug) please report them to bug reports on the community section.

I also have tried to fix the notorious Error: CS41 that has been haunting the players. ZKW now tries to reconnect harder and longer to the host, if connection is lost.

Bugs. Yes. Again.


And no, I did NOT add more bugs. (Atleast I didn't mean to?)
I've fixed some stupid bugs on ZKW-Reborn, such as players having black, long sleeves when using a melee weapon on multiplayer.

Ok, so now that you all have read this thing thru (right?) you can now get back in there and start your gorefest in ZKW-Reborn!

Update 1.2.23 Online Multiplayer optimization update!

What's in there this time?

New "upgrade" powerups!


There are 4 different kind of powerups, that upgrade your weapon. These are dropped by bosses only, and they last until you swap them to something else, or you die.
One example of these new powerups, is "Dragon Breath" bullets. They set zombies on fire. (Have fun!)

More green zombies!


Now why is this a thing? Well, since the bosses no-longer drop crafting items, there will be a higher chance on spawning green zombies. Yay, I guess?

Multiplayer optimizations!


Ton of small improvements on the multiplayer. You will see the difference fairly quick. It is still recommended you have atleast 5MB/s Download AND upload speed internet connection to play the online multiplayer.

Bugs. Argh! bugs!


We have succesfully killed more bugs in the world of ZKW-Reborn.
Including:
-Audio bug that made all the music go crazy after killing the lobster boss
-Syncing bugs on multiplayer
-And many more

Somewhat improved gamepad optimization


-Just some basic glitch fixing with the gamepad

-AGS (Active Game Search) for Multiplayer


-With AGS turned ON (it's on by default) ZKW is actively searching for new multiplayer games that can be joined in. If one is found, you will be notified and you can enter the lobby room from wherever you are in the game. (AGS can be turned off from the lobby)



-Random multiplayer bugs fixed


-Some users had problems with slow internet connection. The online data gets corrupted, and funky stuff start to happen (usually ending up with fatal error) Most of these should now be fixed.

-Bullets are now set in memory, instead of sending all the same data again
-Zombies data packets have been cut in half
-Players data packets have been split in smaller packets

-Fatal error some players were experiencing on round start fixed
-Bots shouldn't be shooting nulls

Profile was corrupted after 1.1.8?

If you were one of the unlucky ones, you should read this as there's still a chance we can save your profile.

Why did this happen?


While the old version gave the user an fatal error, ending the game and preventing the corrupted profile from going anywhere, the 1.1.8 version chooses to ignore the fact that the profile was corrupted. Why? This was meant to fix the fatal error by just giving the user a more friendly message that the profile wasn't loaded correctly. For this reason, the game will actually continue to upload the (now corrupted) profile to ZKW's cloud, which then corrupted that as well.

So, what now?


This bug has now been fixed, and patch is on it's way to Steam right now. After updating to the new version, you need to logout from your (possibly) corrupted profile, and write your username here. I'll see if there's an existing backup file of your profile, and restore that for you.
In case I can't find the backup file of your profile, I would like to give you free ZKW-Points as an apologies.
