The first night after the release of 1.3 is over. And, as I expected, I woke up today with a bunch of bug reports all over the internet.
Worry not tho. Because I have fixed every. single. one. of the addressed bugs!
Inventory now working properly!
HomeRun is now saved on Cloud properly!
Molotov-cocktails break right away when touching anything solid!
Trophy room now has arrow buttons on Android!
Reloading a weapon doesn't consume all ammo anymore!
Shooting/reloading speeds are now fixed!
If multiplayer host enters the "PLAYER" room, that doesn't end the game anymore!
"last send sprite" random error on multiplayer fixed!
Multiplayer doesn't randomly crash on lobby anymore!
Desert-eagle works as supposed!
Players with gamepads can now choose the "HomeRun" !

What is "Homerun" ?
Homerun is the new map that came with the 1.3 update. Homerun is a very open map, and it differs a-lot from the older maps. This is why Homerun is a very good place to start if you are new to ZKW-Reborn. Also note, that because of the new game mechanics the Homerun has, the bots will be total morons here. You will need to guide them at all times, or they will get lost. This will be fixed soon tho.
Please note, that 1.3 is a huge update for ZKW-Reborn, and brings a ton of new content. This ofcourse means, that there will be new bugs around. If you see them, please let me know on the "bug reports" section!

Where's the rest of the update?
Well, you know. Life can be a bitch. To put it briefly, I just didn't have the time to do everything I wanted. I just started making more and more new things, and at some point I just took way too much work for me to handle. So this is as far as the 1.3 will go as for today. Sorry about this. I'll create a new topic on the discussion section that will give you more info about what to expect for the updates after this one!
iOS and Mac!
Next Monday, I'll start making the Mac and iOS versions of the game. I'm only going to focus on those new platforms, so don't expect any updates next week. After this is done, I'll start making the weekly updates once again! Expect a-lot of great things!

HomeRun teasing (and iOS / Mac news!)
In case you haven't been following StillRunning's Facebook or Twitter , this is just a quick re-cap of what's going on!
The new map, HomeRun is finally coming along nicely! We have the graphics, and background music, and I started building up the map today (I have planned the map on paper ofcourse, but now I was finally able to start creating the map in game!)
Ofcourse, I can't spoil too much about the new map, but I can say that this is going to be the most "technical" map so far in ZKW-Reborn. What that means exactly?
Well.. You will see that yourself once the update rolls out..

Now that that's done, I have some "announcements" to make.
First of, any iOS and Mac users here?
I can't tell you how sorry I am that it has taken so long. But after the 1.3 is out, I'm going to focus exclusively on the iOS and Mac ports of ZKW-Reborn. That is, unless 1.3 brings up some kind of game breaking bugs that needs to be fixed asap.
I would still have so much to write about, but I got to get back to work!

Okkkay, so. It's again time for me to go in to the corner of shame.
I promised the 1.3 update to you last month. And it's still not here. And that's not enough, but I'm actually cutting on the cool new features that were supposed to come in 1.3
I'm feeling such a douche doing this.
Anyhow, I felt like I would like to explain the situation to you a bit more (if you wan't to get news on how's the 1.3 coming along, you can stop reading now) and tell you guys a bit more of me, REllU, the guy behind this one-man-show.
Many have asked me, why in the Gods name am I doing this? Why am I making games? For a long time, I couldn't answer this even myself. But now I can.
It is not the money. it is not the fame, or the popularity. The thing that keeps me motivated after all these years, after all of the countless hours I've spent writing several thousands and thousands of lines of code, is you.
My motivation for making games, are the players. The comments you're writing keep me going. The reviews I get, the feedback I get. This all keeps me going.
Well boohoo, why are you telling this to us? Yeah, well. Because with every single massive update that I have made, I've faced the same damn problem, every. single. time.
Lack of motivation. You know, when I made those weekly updates, I got feedback right away. People told me how the update sucked, or how they loved some parts of it. This way I knew what I was doing right, and what I had to improve. With these bigger updates, I'm basically working 4-14 hours per day, sitting in front of my PC, getting blind to my own work, and not getting any kind of feedback about how am I doing. And this keeps going for several months.
I know this is NOT how everyone's mind works, but this is how I work. I just hope that now that you know a bit more about me, you would understand what's going on inside my head, and why these big updates usually take so much time in general (from me anyways)

HomeRun
As many of you guys already know, things haven't gone too well for me in the last month. Which is also why there hasn't been an single update for ZKW-Reborn for a loooooooooooooong time.
Even tho there has been a good reason why you haven't gotten your updates, I still can't stop feeling like I've let the players down. I just feel like the events that have stopped me from making these updates, are simply not enough to justify the fact that you have been just sitting there (like zombies), waiting for the new update to some day roll in.
This is why I really wanted to make this update count. And I decided I would start making the 1.3 version (some of you have already noted, that when you get a new 1.x version, it means for a new map.. Oops)
Version 1.3 What's the big deal?
..some of you may ask. Well. I don't want this turn into an half of an bible worth of text again (altho it seriously is looking like it will.) I'll just cut into the new features etc that are coming.
New map!
-Yes! Finally! There will be a new map, called HomeRun in the next update! This has been so far the most challenging map to make, because of.. Stuff.. That I cannot yet tell you. But I'm going to write another piece of a news when we have more to tell ;) (Also, make sure you are following our
Facebook and Twitter to get the latest news about the new map!
New zombie!
Yes. I know my drawing skills are fabulous..
About the new zombie. Well.. These guys mean business. And by business, I don't mean that they are, by any means, businessmen. I mean, look at that face! Please! Use some skin moisturising.. Stuff from time to time!
Anyhow. These fellows will be seen on the higher rounds of the game. If you do manage to see one of these, you know you will be f*'d.
60 FPS!
-Yes. You have been heard. Just a few days ago, I figured why the game wasn't working properly on 60FPS. Now it is. Well, sort of. There's still work to be done here (as the game was never meant to be played on magnificent 60FPS framerate) but this is definitely coming.
Delta time!
-Now even the most potato-computer owners can enjoy the game!
In a way, delta time does not actually make the game run any smoother. Instead, if your FPS drops, the game will still be running at the same speed. This is mostly a good thing for the mobile users.
OverKill system!
-Sounds fun, right? Well, that's because it IS!
I've been telling you guys about OverKill system before, so I'll just give the basic info here. Actually.. Let me just copy&paste whatever I said on the other notification:
Yes, I am aware that the OverKill menu looks like.. Well, bad. But that's because it's all placeholder. Anyways, some of you, who have been around for long enough, may remember the "OverKill" feature from the original ZKW back in 2010?
So, what is "OverKill" ?
Basically, it's a feature, that you can unlock when you level up to LVL40. By "OverKilling" your character, you basically reset your profile, almost complitely. But every time you do this, you can select one "OverKill" item to bring in to the new life with you.
Here's a few examples of these OverKill items:
-OverKill machine (Advanced fridge. You get to open this magical thing once in every game, for free. And it can give you pretty much any weapon in the game, based on your OverKill level. Even the upgraded ones)
-Weapon customization cap increase
-Stacking perks
And more..

Updated menu!
-Aren't these just beautiful :3 I mean seriously! When you see these in action, you will.. Atleast fall in love with them!
New, improved, skill-tree!
-This is still under development, but you can see how this will basically work. To say the least, this new system is just a TON better than the older skill (wanabe) tree- system ZKW had.
Gawd.. How long is this going to taaaake!?
-I know most of you are already starting to look like this (and the rest of you have stopped reading already) but hang on! There's more!
New voice acting!
-Now, I couldn't get a picture of the sound.. So.. Anyways. Yes, we have a new voice actor for ZKW-Reborn!
Improved gamepad support!
-Isn't that just much more clear than the old one :) Ofcourse, there has been more gamepad optimization within the game than just this!
New difficulty modes!
-You thought "normal" was challenging? Pft..
Overall ingame improvements!
-Improved ingame physics, improved effects, improved stability, improved this, and improved that.. Much improvement, such update!
Mac and iOS!
-If everything goes as planned, the 1.3 version will land on Mac and iOS as well!

When can we haz the update?
-There are still a ton of stuff to be done, but I would say this month.

Enough of you already. What about ZKW?
As for the ZKW update. I won't say it comes next week. Or a week after that. But I will say, that you will be getting the update next month. Yesterday I finally figured out what was wrong with the 60FPS mode of the game, and I solved it. There's still a ton of stuff to do before the 60FPS works fully, but now I can finally say, that it's coming. And boy, it's smooth!
Oh yeah. And I can confirm we have gotten a new voice actor for ZKW-Reborn!

Where are our updates!?
It's been almost a month since the last update, I know.
After all of the weekly updates I made, I ended up being really exhausted, and I couldn't make more of those smaller updates. Instead, I have been working on a much, MUCH bigger update for the last few weeks.
Now those of you who have been following me on Facebook and Twitter should already know pretty much all about the new update. But for those of you who are not checking the FB or Twitter, here's a quick recap of what's coming next in ZKW-Reborn.
New inventory!
Or, well. Not actually new. But re-made. Just started doing this today, and yes, there's still things to be made into it, but it's taking a shape here :)

New skill system!
Yes, new! To put it briefly here (I'm sure you all have better things to do in your life than just reading my nonsense writing, like this..)
The old skill system was terrible. It was something I just created within a day back in 2013, and never touched it again. The new skill system will work more in a "skill tree" kind of a way. (and yes, you can see a-lot of placeholder stuff here as well)
Old players will have their skill-points back, so that they can re-use them on the new and glorious skill-tree(ish)-system
Improved gamepad support on Player menu!

Fresh Patch Friday #3! (V1.2.34)
It's Friday, and you know what that means!
Upgraded weapon skins!
-That's right! Instead of guessing if your weapon is upgraded or not, now you can see it by just looking at your gun! Each weapon has it's own unique skin!
Credits for the skins go to Oleg Kovalenko, or "St.Smith8" !
New upgrades for weapons!
-MeGu's clip size is now 5, instead of 1 after upgrading!
-RPG's rockets look mean! And they are!
-Small tweaks for other weapons as well!
Multiplayer optimization!
-Probably the most important thing here, is that now the round 20 limit for joining has been lifted to round 30! (altho if you do join a game that is on Round 30, you.. Well.. It will be fun to watch. For others.)
Bug fixes, and other small improvements!
-Small improvements! YAY!
-"Mah boomstick!" trophy has been made a bit easier
(almost) Fresh Patch Friday #2 (1.2.32)
Ok so, I was at a vacation for the first time last week, which meant that I didn't have time to make a new patch for you guys. Anyhow, I've got one for you now!
LAN multiplayer works again!
-Now you are all like "huh? When it didn't work?"
Well, it didn't. I actually had to re-write the whole connecting/hosting process for the LAN multiplayer, but it's working now again :)
Small adjustments!
-I've fixed the buggy camera on the game now, and it should be smoother, and well.. Shouldn't make you seasick anymore!
GORE
Shouldn't this be in "small adjustments?" No. This deserves it's own section -The PC version now has more gore! Yes! Go paint those walls red!
Protection!
-Always remember protection! Now, if you connect to someones game after it's already started, you will get a free shield that is activated when your game starts! This way you won't be such an easy target, pewpewing with your silly pistol on round 18.
Bugs. Less of those
-I have also fixed some fatal errors some players have been occuring, and hopefully stopped the players from teleporting as much.
Sorry for not having anything else, but I only had a few hours to make the update!
Now I'll get some server issues fixed (they are actually FLOODING!) so don't be surprised if you suddenly get disconnected from your multiplayer match. It's just me, playing with the servers :)

Heyho! What's new this time?
Joining games that have already started!
-Oh yes! It is now possible to join a game that has been started already! No more waiting on the lobby!
-You can also start a multiplayer match by yourself, and wait for others to come to play while you are already slaughtering zombies!
-This is limited to Round 20 Players can't join your game after Round 20 has passed.
New upgrade powerups!
-I noticed you were enjoying the flaming bullets, bouncing bullets, and other upgrade powerups. So I added more! One of those is called "splitting bullets" (the name might be a bit too revealing..?)
New weapon upgrades!
-RPG's rockets now set everything in flames when they explode!
-D.8.M. now has 15 bullets (shells..? Plasma shots..?) instead of 3!
Optimized online multiplayer!
-Less data sent equals more happy players :)
Bugs fixed
-It's been five years already. But they just keep coming. And I keep crushing them.
