Balancing Quick Events

Hi, Adorers!
Thank you very much for all the feedback that you send to us.

Our intention with the Quick Events was to create new combat situations for the player to leave the comfort zone. It worked really well!
However, other situations arose that we did not like, for example, being able to go through events without needing to kill a single enemy.
So we've made some changes:

Escort the Orb



Now, every time an enemy steps into the orb radius, the energy orb will stop moving. It will also change the color of the indicator to yellow.
To balance this we:
- Increased the orb speed from 3 to 4.5.
- (Normal difficult) The interval between creatures spawns increased from 5s to 6s.
- (Insane difficult) The interval between creatures spawns increased from 2s to 5s.


Activate the Energy Mechanism


In this event, we have adjusted some values to value the player who eliminates the enemies.

- (Normal difficult)When the player is not on top of the mechanism, the energy drop rate changed from 0.5 to 0.7.
- (Normal difficult) The interval between creatures spawns increased from 5s to 6s.

- (Insane difficult)When the player is not on top of the mechanism, the energy drop rate changed from 0.7 to 1.
- (Insane difficult) The interval between creatures spawns increased from 2s to 5s.

Bug Fixes & changes


- The old bestiary has been removed from the temple. Now you can access the new one from anywhere opening the Adorers Panel.
- Fixed Players not being able to summon creatures in some situations.
- Fixed some cases that the creatures were being duplicated after being deposited at the Shrine of the Adorers.
- Controller: Removed the button to change from Normal to Insane mode during the run.
- Fixed a bug where you finished generating the orb and started to capture a creature while moving(spoiler alert: a feature of the next patch!)
- Fixed being able to generate another energy orb.

We believe these changes will make the quick events even more fun.

Update 8 - Quick Events

Hello, Adorers!
With this patch, we're introducing Quick Events.
They are minigames that will show up in each map to improve variety and stimulate interesting gameplays.

Escort the Energy Orb




The objective in this event is to channel the energy of your staff and generate an Energy Orb, then escort it to a Sentinel Tower.
After bringing all the required orbs, the tower will purify the area.


  • The orb will follow the Adorer.
  • Cursed creatures will keep spawning until the Sentinel Tower is activated.
  • If you move away from the orb, it will stop moving.
  • Eliminating creatures will not reward you with gold or experience. But, when the event is finished, you will receive both.



Activate the Energy Mechanisms


During this event you will need to use your creatures wisely, since the adorer's movement will be a little hindered.
The objective is to activate all mechanisms by triggering them until their energy peaks and the four flames are lit up.



  • The area where this event happens will have 3 mechanisms to be activated.
  • The allied creatures also can trigger the mechanisms.
  • If you step away from a mechanism, its energy will slowly drain.
  • Eliminating creatures will not reward you with gold or experience. But, when the event is finished, you will receive both.

Cursed Camp



This event will show up only once during a run and it's completely optional.
It is done step by step. After you finish a level, you can choose to continue on to the next one or leave. You can keep progressing until Level 3.

Each level has a difficulty and rewards defined:

  • Level 1: Eliminate 10 creatures. Reward: 15 gold coins
  • Level 2: Eliminate 12 creatures. Reward: 1 Health Potion and 1 Healing Fruit
  • Level 3: Eliminate 14 creatures. Reward: 1 random item

Bestiary



Finally! Something we've been wanting to implement for quite some time.
Since the next patch (0.9) will add new creatures, we decided to already implement the new bestiary, that will probably be improved in 0.9 with some new features.

And the best of all, you can now take a closer look at your favorite creatures in 3D!

Insane Difficulty



We reactivated the Insane difficulty. This is how you will truly put your Adorer skills to the test!
In order to enable the Insane difficulty, you must first finish the game on Normal difficulty.

More!



- New item: Book of Bones: After using the staff ability, your creatures do bonus damage on their next attack.
- New quest to introduce the Cursed Camp event.
- New loading screen design.
- New tips added to the loading screens.
- Controls: Staff ability button swapped by the Recall all creatures button.


Balancing


- Removed the cost of removing runes from creatures
- Creatures maximum health was rebalanced. The creatures from level 5 and on had too much health.
- The item "Eternal Spinning Top" was remade, it now has the following effect: After a Beast creature attacks a target, the next time the adorer dodges over an enemy damage will be inflicted upon them.
- Devu: starting health points decreased from 25 to 20.
- Fouboo: starting health points increased from 18 to 25.
- Bodin: base attack damage increased from 5 to 8.
- Moosh: rarity changed from common to rare.
- Sanctuary will also appear in the first map.


Bugs


- Fixed: title ("traits" / "bonds") of the creatures cards.
- Fixed: adorer model appearing inside the creature when opening the minimap while mounting.
- Fixed: legendary creatures special's description not displaying.
