Today, I'm very pleased to release an update which sets the foundation of a new world generation in Alchemist's Awakening.
Here is an overview of the changes:
A whole new world
The world generation has been entirely rewritten, to allow more diversity and biomes.
Around 20 different biomes are now in the game, and more content will be added in the next versions.
Armors
Armors can be found in chest in the world. They provide extra resistance when you wear them, as well as a stamina bonus when using Light Armors.
Armors cannot be crafted, you'll have to explore the world to find them, usually in chest around big structures!
Mobs
Mobs have been improved and some new mobs have been added: Panthers, and Lava Golems.
A lot more is yet to discover in the game, remember to create a new world to get all the new features!

0.93c - New blocks and night clouds
Hello,
With today's new update, it is now possible to place wood and column blocks of every size at a 45° angle:
To do this, simply hold the Ctrl key while you have a wood or column block in hand.
Some new wood species and leaves have also been added in 0.93b, which let you create some new beautiful trees:
In other news, nights can now be cloudy.

0.93 - Bows and Storms
Hello,
A new update was released today, introducing a new weapon: the Bow!
The bow can be crafted using Metal + Nature. Arrows will be crafted on-the-fly when you use the bow.
In the future, several different bows will be available with different powers and arrows.
Storms
New weathers have been added too, including some storm, rain and snow. Please note that in Creative mode, the weather will always be sunny. You can use the /setWeather command to change weather.
This version also includes:
- several bug fixes
- new particles effects

Hello,
A new update was released today, introducing a way to make blocks look aged, mossy or dirty:
You will find 3 new powers to add dirt (craft it with Sand), erosion (craft it with Stone) or moss (craft it with Nature) to blocks.
Another new change is the snow which will appear on tops of blocks in cold biomes:

0.91 - SSAO and new creative options

A new update was released today, here is the changelog:
- SSAO (improved ambiant lighting) when graphics are set to High Quality
- Custom texture packs for maps
You can now put custom block, grass and/or glass textures in a /textures/ directory in your map.
This will replace the default textures for this map. Then you can share the map to the Steam Workshop and other players will receive the custom textures too.

Other changes include:
- you can put a cover.jpg file in the /textures/ directory of your map, this will be used as the preview in the Workshop.
- the "Play with friend" coop menu now displays if your friends are in the game or not
- new "CameraDistance" setting in Edit Advanced Options of item creation to make the third person camera away from a vehicle.
- the "VitesseRun" setting in Edit Advanced Options will affect the speed of a vehicle.
- new triangular slope block:
- new Gravels and Leaves ground materials

0.90 - Tame Wolfs, core engine update and more
Hello,
A new update was released today, with some big changes in the core engine. This should improve performance and fix some issues in some computers, however if you experience any problem please report the issue.
In other news, you can now tame Wolfs and mount them:
To do this, use the Tame power (Electricity + Metal + Crystal)
This new update also makes it possible to create more complex items and vehicles with attached parts:
A new update was released today, introducing some new items:
Raft
The raft makes it possible to travel safely and quickly to other islands.
This update also makes it possible for map makers and mod creators to create vehicles, here is an example:
The Picture Frame is a painting that you can customize by entering the internet URL of a picture.
Use blue clothes fabric blocks to craft it.
Item Frame and Item Support
The Item Frame can be used to decorate your home with weapons. Use orange clothes fabric blocks to craft it. You can also craft Item Supports with metal.
Other changes
Fixed some bugs with mobs.
Fixed some bugs with fireball and stone tempest attacks.
Mobs now have a spawn point and won't wander to far away from it.

0.88 - Improved companions and other news
Hello,
A new update was released today, introducing some changes in how companions and creature you give life to work.
- You can now transform a creature back to stone (it's like cancelling the giving life power)
- Creatures now have more or less strength and armor depending on what material you use to create them. Creature made with crystal will be the most robust.
- You can now give orders to the pet lion.
Other news
- A German translation was made by one member of the community, thanks very much, it was added to the game.
- Some tweaking in the multiplayer protocol is tested to have less lag issues in "Play with friend" mode.
- Terraforming now remove surface blocks (and trees) when elevating terrain in Creative mode.
- Some bug fixes.
New possibilities for Map makers
- It is now possible to create NPC using the models of animals and mobs which are already in game and give them different behavior. For example, you could create a pet wolf.
Some human models have also been added to let you create NPC who gives you quest or other things:
- Some new autumnal leaves and grass has been added.
These latest changes will be used later to add some exciting new content to the game.

0.87 - Terrain, Pickaxe, Sapling
Hello,
A new update was released today, introducing some changes in terrain and two new items:
Pickaxe
The Pickaxe can be crafted in survival and let you change the terrain: left click to dig, right click to add material back to the ground.
Sapling
The Sapling can be crafted in survival and will turn into a tree after a while.
Terrain
The transition between materials has been totally rewritten to be more natural.
A lot of new terrain type has been added: lava, black rock, etc... Currently you can only see them in Creative mode by placing them with the Terraforming Material Rod.
In the future, new biomes will be added and will use those materials.
