Alterium Shift has been updated to version 1.3.0

Fixes:

  • Fixed: Menu cursor "click" sound would sometimes loop multiple times
  • Fixed: Jude would reappear in the house after grabbing the rope for the well (Sage's quest)
  • Fixed: Full Screen modes would collapse window after clicking away (screen now stays open in the background)
  • Fixed: Only one slime would show in Sage's well bottom quest to save Crystal
  • Other minor fixes and adjustments made (untracked)
  • Localization updates and fixes
  • Fixed the menu freezing after opening and closing it at certain times
  • Fixed an issue where sub-menus would pop back open when re-opening the menu


Known issues:

  • Some localization is still missing or not showing the proper language
  • Shops: Some equipment that should be equipable to specific characters does not always show or allow you to equip from within the shop menu but still allows you to equip in the equipment menu.
  • 3D monster’s images do not display in the bestiary.

  • World Map travel via points of interest
    • Travel between key points of interest as they become available via walking on the world map.
    • This does not affect traveling on main maps from location to location, this is simply a form of fast travel.



Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue with the targets in Summiton Dojo. They now behave as expected.
  • Fixed issue with Scorpions disappearing when chasing you in the desert.
  • Fixed issue with being able to walk on certain spikes in the Well Bottom area.
  • Fixed issue with Certain Objects not appearing as targets for Sage’s ability
  • Fixed issue with gems being used up in the Abandoned Mines for Sage’s Path
  • Fixed issue with trade system when a negative value would appear

New Features & Enhancements


  • Enhanced title screen
    • “Continue” is grayed out until there are save files
    • “Continue” is the first selected item when there are save files
  • Added “Support” menu item to the title screen
  • Added new game Intro sequence when starting a new game
  • Added an extensive tutorial for the “Echo Shift” node found in Notimus Forest Central
  • Enhanced Echo Shift load menu to exclude the current player character
    • This is to address accidental loads that may overwrite autosaves
  • Enhanced Echo Shift mechanic

    • Players can reset the node back to “yellow”
    • After a new character enables the node, that color becomes available to any character
    • Added new visual for selecting node colors
  • Improved UI menu controls for “Continue” and “Settings”
    • Ensured controller “Bumpers” (left and right) work with switching tabs
  • Added dialog skip option
    • Use the “cancel” button to move dialog forward. When held, it will quickly skip dialog based on message speed settings.
    • This will not automatically select choices.
  • Added “Beta” Menu to game settings for players to opt-in to in-progress features
    • Includes one setting for “new menu”, which is a new in-game menu
    • New Menu is extremely beta and has many known issues. Use are your own risk.
  • Added (beta) - New Quest Log to view active, completed, and failed quest
    • Only available via the new menu, which can be enabled from the title screen settings




Bug Fixes

  • Fixed shop UI issues with selling equipped items and getting proper warnings when those items are equipped
  • Fixed sound issue when starting new game, sound would suddenly change in volume
  • Fixed issue in Summiton Town - Jude’s House where Cyrstal would show briefly and disappear (before being saved)
  • Fixed an issue where the Echo Node Attune feature wouldn’t work in specific save scenarios
  • Fixed an issue where health was recovered before a boss fight.

  • Autosave now stores history in the game settings folder
  • We now show a message on the very first open of the game reminding people it's an Early Acces or Demo (and to find us for help)

  • Dolion “Meteor” burst ability animation only plays the first time

    • Damage is still dealt to monsters as expected

  • World Map (opened using M or the menu / select button on the controller)
  • Sometimes this can be opened at the wrong time causing issues
  • Shift portal (glowing orb) sometimes appears in the corner of maps
  • Buried Temple B1 challenges high-level of difficulty
  • Minor sound effect issues (missing or repeating sounds)
  • Some maps in Endless Dunes have known performance issues and can be slow to load at times
