Season 2 update patch notes

Relics



Basic relics and in game currency given to all players when starting the game



- Basic relic set given to all players upon launch

  • Penetrator round – Ignore 20% of enemy’s defense
  • Boss target – 15% additional damage to bosses
  • Critical power chip – Increase Critical Damage by 40%
  • Greaves – 15% survival skill (dash, guard, etc.) cooldown decrease
  • High-powered round – Increase Weapon Power by 30%
  • Power chip – Increase Skill Power by 30%
  • Burning target – 30% damage increase against burning targets
  • Frozen target - 30% damage increase against frozen targets
  • Petrified target - 30% damage increase against petrified targets
  • Shocked target - 30% damage increase against shocked targets
  • Poisoned target - 30% damage increase against poisoned targets
  • Bleed target -30% damage increase against bleeding targets
  • Heal Scope – 1% chance to recover 3% of max HP when attacking
  • Lightweight Magazine – Increase Attack Speed by 15%
  • Buff Chip - +20% positive effect duration

- Basic currency given

  • 500 Crons, 5 Season Point Upgrade, 5 Breaker points
  • Existing players with above rewards will receive Cron compensation

  • Players can now adjust relic appearance rate to your tastes

Rhapsody Stone: Critical

  • +5% Critical Hit Chance (Lv.3 Bonus: Recover HP when a Critical Hit lands on an enemy target (every 3s))

Rhapsody Stone: Restraint

  • +200% skill power when weapon is not in use for 3 seconds

Rhapsody Stone: Transition

  • +50% movement speed when weapon is not in use for 3 seconds

Rhapsody Stone: Reap

  • +10% Attack Power at the start of every planet after clearing the 10th planet (up to 10 stacks)

Rhapsody Stone: Abundance

  • +30% Critical Hit Chance at 100% HP

- Previous Season’s relics can be purchased during season challenge mode

Galaxies



Changes to galaxy composition



  • The UI when entering the galaxy has been changed
  • Three choices now available: Practice, Galaxy, and Season Challenge Mode
  • Practice will direct players straight to the Czerny Practice mode (single player)
  • Galaxy will be sequential clear and will go Czerny, Symphonia, Campanella and Campanella Extreme
    - Campanella Hard has been deleted
    - All galaxies support single player mode
  • Season Challenge option will lead to the existing Season Challenge Mode

Code Matchmaking system added



  • A system has been added where players enter a code when matchmaking and get matched with people with the same code (default blank)
  • Maximum of 3 players can play. If 4 people enter the same code, 3 will be matched together and 1 will be solo.
  • If only two people are matched together, 2 player runs are possible.
    - In this case, difficulty will be adjusted

Season Challenge Mode revamp



  • Removal of planet difficulty option
    - All planets now have the same difficulty
    - The focus is now which planet to choose and competing for how far you can go
  • More information provided during planet selection
    - Additional information on the upgrades possible in the planet provided
  • Random buff given upon successful planet exploration
    - Buff is only applied to the next planet exploration
  • Extra planet exploration added
    - Additional planets have been added after the 15th
    - Players can decide whether to continue exploration or stop after the 15th
    - If player decides to stop exploration, final level badge will be updated
    - If player decides to continue further and fail, the final level will not be updated
    - No upgrades are available in the additional planets

New Breaker: Draken


New Breaker Draken has been added



  • Draken uses a new type of weapon “sword”
  • Swords are melee weapon for shooter type that causes status effect bleed
  • Existing shooter type Breakers can also use the sword
  • Draken can be purchased for 5,000 Crons

New status effect Bleed has been added



  • Bleed Status effect
    - Damage dealt to target increase by 3% for 10 second
    - At 5 stacks, deal 5% of target’s max HP and effect ends
  • Bleed related relics added
    - Bleed target : +30% damage against bleeding targets (Lv.3 Bonus: Increase damage against enemy targets with status effects)
    - Bleed Immunity Device: Immunity against bleeding effects
    - Bleed Reactor: Add bleed effect to all attacks (bleeds target after 10 hits)

Reorganization of Challenge tasks



  • Achievements in the platforms have been adjusted
    - Removal of Campanella planet achievement, added Campanella Extreme achievement
  • Achievements for new Breaker Draven has been added
  • With the achievement reorganization, players can regain rewards.

New Season

  • Season Pass is now completely free and will restart from rank 1
  • Season 2 Season Challenge Rewards have been reset and can be redeemed
  • Season 1 exclusive rewards (including toy workers) can be purchased using Crons

Weapon balance has been done extensively

    - Sniper Rifle damage increased by 8%
    - Venom Rifle damage decreased by 24%

    - Double Shotgun damage increased by 13%
    - Crasher Shotgun damage increased by 14%
    - Plumber Shotgun damage increased by 17%
    - Sandstone Shotgun damage decreased by 34%
  • Axe
    - Battle Axe average damage increased by 20%
    - Snowman Axe average damage increased by 31%
  • Hammer
    - Meteor Hammer average damage increased by 35%
    - Breaker Hammer average damage increased by 43%
    - Jumper Hammer average damage increased by 21%
  • Gauntlet
    - Power Gauntlets average damage increased by 27%
    - Drill Gauntlet average damage increased by 12%
    - Graviton Gauntlets average damage increased by 15%

Other balance changes



  • All skill upgrades that double status effect duration has been changed to 1.5x
  • Shock duration changed to 10 seconds from 7 seconds
  • Invulnerability Greaves effect lasting way too long has been changed
    - Now +1 second to invulnerability on perfect survival skill from +3 seconds

Improvements to Graphics



  • Season 2 title page’s mood has been changed
  • Ice-related effects have been visually improved
  • Floor cracking effect has been visually improved
  • Floor turning to sand has been visually improved

Bug Fixes



  • Fixed Khazard Armor boss’s laser effect area being different from what is seen
  • Fixed where homing skills did not work as intended
  • Fixed inability to fire weapon when using skills
  • Fixed stacks for Kill Power in upgrade resetting after planet clear
  • Fixed issue where Rhino King jumped off screen
  • Fixed issue where player drops endlessly through the floor
  • Fixed issue where player was booted to lobby upon using season point
  • Fixed where damage was not dealt in multiplayer mode
  • Fixed issue where Quake disappeared after using Tremors
  • Fixed issue where game info UI at the bottom disappeared
  • Fixed issue where VP Coupon did not increase Season Pass rank

Season 2 Update Jun 22, 2022 12PM (KST)

Our Season 2 update will occur on Wednesday, Jun 22, 2022 12PM KST (Mark your calendars!!) .

Please note that connection to the server may be unstable from 11AM to 1PM while we update.

Season rankings, progress on the Season Pass and Challenge Rewards among others will be reset with the update.
(The Season 1 Pass will no longer be sold with the update)

Season Pass sale ends with Season 2 update



Hello everyone,

This is a further reminder that the Season 1 Season Pass will become unavailable with the Season 2 update next week.

Furthermore, the new Swordsman Breaker joining Anvil, named "Draken", will cost 5,000 Crons. But fear not because many new achievements have been added that will reward players with Crons.

[Dev Blog] Jun 14, 2022 (Notice)

This is a notice about Anvil's policy against players who use cheat programs.

We are currently identifying many players that have manipulated game data.
As such, the dev team plans to implement these measures

  • Show a warning message when cheat program use is detected
  • Block player from multiplayer matchmaking with warning accumulation

This is under development and will be applied in the July update.

For Steam, we are constantly deleting players in the rankings who used cheat programs and looking at game logs of those still in the ranks but suspected of cheating.

Those players who use cheat programs after this notice can be blocked without notice.

Premium Season Pass DLC Sale end next week

Hello, this is Wonho Son, PD of Anvil.

Today, I want to talk about the upcoming changes for the season pass.
Starting Season 2, the premium season pass will disappear from the season pass. Everyone will be able to play up to level 100 without the need for purchase, and the rewards will be improved.
We will not be selling the premium season pass until we are a more complete game for 1.0 release. That said, we might add some skins as DLC for purchase, but these will not affect gameplay in any way unlike the V2 Toy Workers.

We will be adding much content in Season 2 that will make increase player satisfaction.
Here is a list of some of the features added.

  • Improvements to Season Challenge Mode
  • Ability to adjust relic appearance probability
  • Relic preset given to beginners when they start
  • Swordsman Breaker added
  • Private code-based invite system (Allows for cross invite between Xbox and Steam)

Many more features will be added to make the game more enjoyable and easier to access.

We are also currently fixing the issues that appeared with the May update.
We could perform a hotfix patch to quickly solve an issue at a time, but these quick patches could cause other additional issues so we will delay the update until Season 2 update for better stability.

VP event



  • Amount of VP acquired until the end of the season will be doubled
  • Above information has been added to game title and season pass
  • Event will apply until the next update (late June/ early July)


Battle



New relic added



A new relic that seals healing has been added. It will help overcome monsters with heal like Protean beast and Machine Commander.

Dum-Dum Rounds

  • Limits hit enemies’ recovery amount for 5 seconds and +20% weapon power

Improvements



Improvements to coupon interface



  • To prevent coupon errors, we have made it so that a coupon can be entered only once per interface
  • In addition, a coupon use fail message has been added for players to receive better feedback on the situation

Improvements to projectile effects



  • We have adjusted specific projectile effects for players to receive better feedback

Improvements to Chem-Drill Gauntlet’s time attack sequence combo effect that pulls enemies in



  • Changed from pulling enemies towards the center of the Breaker to toward the front of the Breaker
  • Easier to hit Chem-Drill Gauntlet’s laser with this change

Improvements to boss health UI when 3 or more bosses appear



  • Health gauges that appeared in the second line are now shown three per line

Bug fixes



  • Fix to players booted to lobby with Invalid Url message during multiplay
  • Fix to players returning to lobby when changing relics
  • Fixed where UI such as relics acquired did not appear during a run
  • Fixed where some upgrades remained despite resetting season upgrade points
  • Fixed where enemies that are petrified or frozen did not receive damage
  • Fixed where relics were not immediately shown in the multiplayer lobby when equipped relics were changed
  • Fixed where effect for successful survival skill use did not apply for fighter and technician type
  • Fixed some languages going beyond the UI
