Item pouches automatically close before combat begins
Closing pouches in the store no longer results in losing money
Items from pouches should not be destroyed accidentally

Fixed a bug where locked chests could disappear after loading games - leaving character running in place

Here's what you will do in the Halloween event:

New Stuff:

You can now see more of the map.

  • Completely redesigned the map creation.
  • All floors (after floor 1) have 1 store and 1 forge guaranteed
  • Floors should be more consistent
  • Floors have more possible arrangements
  • Many new things in the map including Elites, Collapsing rooms, and expiring events
  • Several new enemies including elites
  • Healers are always found on boss floors


Several new events in each biome!
New dice based minigame!
Totally new curse and blessing system that makes curses far less penalizing
New biome that you can travel to!

Three new challenge modes!

Changes:
Endless Dream now lets you see the entire map
Endless Mode now allows you to go through the Bramble instead of forcing you into the Crypt each time
Endless Mode now displays your loop number each time you defeat the final boss
Charmed enemies are automatically deselected
Helmets no longer have the "disable helmets to the right" property
Boots no longer have the "disable boots to the right" property
Improvements to the UI, options menu, and reorganizing menus
Energy is now hidden when outside of battle
SFX for gaining/losing gold
SFX for when you gain energy

Balance Changes:
Broken Ring is now uncommon
Bag of Shurikens now costs an energy to use
Magic Star Bag now increases mana cost per combat
Shuriken forge now adds energy per combat instead of per turn

Bug Fixes:
Footprints now always appear behind events on the map
Hopefully fixed the bug where parts of the map would not appear
Hopefully fixed the bug where the game could soft-lock your inventory after leveling up
Fixed particle effects on destroyed items

If you cannot wait until Halloween you can play this now on the Public Testing Branch! Remember that the testing branch may have more bugs and you could lose your save game!

Satchel Hotfix 3

Changes:
Added resolution for 1366 * 768
Added resolution for 3840 * 2160
Enemies will no longer become "uncharmed" at the start of their turn. They only change teams at the end of their turn

Bug Fixes:
Fixed a bug where manavalues in the Item Pouch would not be properly displayed after loading a game
Fixed a bug where rerolling items from the pouch could result in getting free items
Deleting save games now has a more standard "Are you sure?" message
Hopefully fixed a bug where items could sometimes lose their reference to special effects
Hopefully fixed a bug where rooms could not appear sometimes
Fixed a glitch when creating gold with the Orksork ax

Satchel Hotfix 2

Changes:
Map spaces now fade-out into the distance - easier to see edges of map
Violin base charm - 8 -> 6
The alpha star now takes 2 energy to use

Updated drop-rates of different shurikens
Toad's Hammer is now conductive
Robin's wand is now conductive
Hopefully fixed bug of map not revealing properly after some battles
Improved calculations of pockets - hopefully fixing some glitches with the talon shiv
Charmed raccoons will now return your gold when they flee
Fixed a layering issue that could appear with the bird decal at the bottom of Satchel's bag
Fixed an issue while quitting in "Delete Save on Death" modes
Fixed an issue when loading from "Delete Save on Death" games where your inventory was locked
Heavy and Floating Items can no longer fall into pouches
Vermillion Energy no longer highlight other vermillion energy
Fixed an issue with rotating Satchel's level-up blocks

Changes:
You can now open pouches by hovering over them with an item
Slightly decreased the luck gained from the lucky star
The alpha star no longer generates luck
Shurikens can only spawn less rare shurikens. Hold on to your shuriken bags!
Spawning items (like Shurikens) at the end of combat does not require an "in-combat" reorganize event.

Bug Fixes:
You can no longer get repeat relics by storing them inside an item pouch
Enemies will not steal from you while charmed
Fixed a softlock when the Ultra Knight dies from burn
Fixed the description of the metronome
Fixed the Crow Hammer - which didn't add gold properly
Fixed a glitch where reloading saves could remove the SFX from instruments

Fixed some layering issues with items in the pouch
Fixed an error with the pouch sprite after loading

Satchel released to the Testing Build!

Satchel has been released to the Testing Branch!


How can I play the testing branch?

We are trying to keep the main "default" branch of the game working well. So... if you want to test the absolute newest content you can instead select the "Testing Branch" from the Beta menu in Steam. First choose "Properties" on Steam. Then from the "Betas" menu choose the branch that you want to download. Please note that the Testing Branch is for testing. Yes it has the newest stuff, but it's also likely to be glitchier. As well, it increases your chances of save data corruption. So please join us at your own risk
