Changes:
Updated translations
Now collecting how much damage enemies deal to the player - will help with balance
Illusory spaces now appear green - even if an item is in the space
You will never see the same enemy encounter twice within a single run
You can no longer find the ethereal wand or ethereal staff in Big Mode


Bug Fixes:
Fixed the text for the whittling knife - displaying 0 energy before
Glory Knight now adds rough hide at the start of your turn
You can now unlock illusory spaces during level-up even if they contain a manastone
The old log now spawns 1 herb only
Unfair mode no longer requires bombs away to be complete
Fixed a glitch with the brother's bow
Fixed the poison ivy - it now effects the enemy that attacked instead of your current target

  • The ring of dreams now gets +1 mana for each connected mana stone
  • Lance now costs 1 energy - scales energy each turn

  • Steel boots get +2 armor for each space and are now rare

  • Cursed blade damage increased to 9
  • Crossbow now does -40% damage instead of -50%
  • Expert bow now does +3 damage to each arrow
  • The crossbow is now common
  • The composite bow is now uncommon and has scaling energy


Changes to enemies:

  • Elder Mage now attacks between summons
  • Speaker now attacks sometimes and has less hp
  • Decreased Blademaster spikes and health. Gave him a second attack
  • Skinks now spawn with the Nightblade
  • Added a skink to the newt encounter
  • Buffed the Boastful Spellsword
  • Nerfed Newts - she now attacks before cursing and does a weak poison attack
  • Newts and Salamanders now spawn with Green Snails
  • Added Sables to the Turtle and skink encounter
  • Honey Guides now have 30 health
  • Honey Badgers now do small attacks and protect their honey guide

Bug Fixes:
Fixed a crash that could occur when items were deleted - especially during adaptative mode
Fixed an issue where items would overlap after chests were open
Fixed an issue where items could appear behind the player at the bottom of the screen

Notes:
This is our first major update using analytics to balance the game. All changes were based on feedback from the community, conversations among developers, and supported by analytic data about enemy lethality and item popularity. This is the largest "balance" update we have done and we hope we got things to a better place. But if we missed the mark in any way, please let us know!

If this goes well, we hope to have the new content on the main branch next week!

3 New Relics Update!

New Stuff:
A new unique relic was added to each character
New arrow type

The venom sword now does damage equal to 100% of your poison
The brothers bow has had its effect changed

An amazing first day!

Thank you to everyone who has supported the game in Early Access! Our launch was far better than we ever expected! If you haven't already, please leave us a review. They really help!

We're devoted to making this game as good as we can! There will be bug-fixes and new items in the next week. And next month we'll be introducing our fourth character - Satchel! There's tons of new content on its way including more items, more enemies, more bosses, more lore, and much more!

One of the biggest concerns has been meta-progression. Right now when you die, the game is over and you don't get any permanent upgrades. This will be resolved shortly! The game is in Early Access and we have new content being worked on! Each time the player does a run, they'll get permanent resources that they can use to upgrade their town, plant plants, build buildings, and attract new villagers! This will be released by February of next year, and we will work to have some meta-progression in the game even before then.
