Hello everyone! This hotfix focuses on gameplay adjustments in order to make the player experience more enjoyable. As well as this, lots of other small things!

Change List:



Level 0:



  • Added tape around Level 0 exit

Level 1:



  • Increased Level 1 Item amount
  • Removed Interact prompt from generators when completed In Level 1

Level 2:



  • Adjusted Scratcher path finding
  • Changed Level 2 clocks to display Green Instead of Red
  • Fixed not being able to revive players in lockers
  • Added Level 2 objective tip

Level 6:



  • Added consumable Items to Level 6
  • Moved Level 6 statues next to puzzle doors

Level !:



  • Level ! Scratcher kills Instead of downs the player

Hey everyone, this hotfix focuses almost solely on balancing level run. We've been closely monitoring feedback and believe these changes will help make the level feel more fair for all. As always, thanks for playing!

Change List:



Level Run:



  • Added fallen exit sign at beginning to hint players to follow them
  • Changed objective to "Follow the exit signs"
  • Fixed collision on obstacles to prevent players from getting stuck on them
  • Made door breaking time increase as the number of alive players decrease (1 player: extra 60% time, 2 players: extra 40%, 3 players: 20%)
  • Lowered alarm sound
  • Fixed some shelves having no collision

Level 4:



  • Increased item count in break rooms
  • Randomized conference rooms chair spawning
  • Added a chance for items to spawn in cubicles
  • Removed all small clutter that could be mistaken for pickupable items

General:



  • Updated localization
  • Minor VRAM reductions

BET 0.7.1

Hi everyone! This is a minor update with a Level 6 rework, Level 0 changes (Added a tape that leads to the exit in the sublevel), bug fixes, and some graphics improvements. One thing that might be controversial is the addition and default enablement of motion blur. I used to despise motion blur, but I believe the subtle motion blur added in this update adds a lot. If it's not for you, feel free to disable it in the settings and let me know how it can be improved!

BET 0.7: New Difficulties and QOL Improvements

Hey everyone!
I know I mentioned the other week that the update to proceed 0.6 would be a large content update, but I wanted to sneak this update in before I get to work on that. This update comes with two new difficulties, Easy and Purgatory. Purgatory is an ultra-hardcore mode where death by any player resets you back to Level 0. Easy mode is similar to Normal, but after everyone dies, your level progress is retained. So if you had done 3 objectives, those will persist after everyone dies.

The other standout features of this update are mid-game joining, UI overhauls, controller support, and Level 0 difficulty balances. Mid-game joining should significantly increase the number of joinable games, so solo players should always have a lobby to join if needed. (Note: players are put into spectate mode upon joining a match in progress and will need to wait until everyone dies or makes it to the next level)

As always, I’m extremely grateful for every single person that plays and enjoys BET. And for those who criticize it, I appreciate it, I will do better.

Hey everyone! This update comes with a ton of quality improvements and bug fixes. 0.5 made things a little rough around the edges and this update is the coat of polish it needed! I apologize for the lack of content, I took a couple weeks off to spend time with family and friends for the holidays and also explored some development avenues that ended up being a waste of time :(. I've taken the new year to rethink my approach to BET and target a lot of the sore points before piling more content onto a shaky base.

I've put this update through a ton of testing but as always, there will probably be some bugs that I've missed.
