Bakery Simulator - Devlog #85 “Mini-eggame incoming!”

Hello Bakers!

We're polishing mini-games that will be available in the game for your enjoyment!

We hope it's not too eggcentric to create many different fun mini-games in our game. As you go about your daily duties as a baker we'd love to sprinkle some enjoyable small moments of gameplay on your eggsperience. We believe that this way you will be able to realistically feel as a true bakery would - doing certain chores by your own hands is eggactly what we want to emulate here.

Working with eggs can go either awesome or terribly wrong. Raise your hand if you've never used too much force when breaking the shells and found yourself in a sticky situation! This is definitely something that can happen when working in a Bakery and that is why we felt it necessary to include it in our game. Eggciting, right?

Depending on your timing you can eggspect three different outcomes of your actions in this particular minigame - as showcased in the screenshots above. You can either do it perfectly, add not enough force or overdo it. We definitely hope you'll be able to master the way of the egg quickly!

See you again - pretty soon!

Best regards,

Bakery Simulator team

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #84 “Oven - now improved!”

Hello Bakers!

Feedback is king - and as we've heard your feedback about the oven we couldn't simply let it go!

We are blessed to receive a lot of feedback from all of you following the development of Bakery Simulator and we're happy to say that some of the features we are currently working on should constitute a great answer for many of your reports and suggestions! As we've received a lot of information about the possible addition of timer of sorts for our oven we were more than happy to comply and create something that would make your experience better!

With some of the changes that we are currently testing and working on will come the possibility to check the state of the bread in the oven without the necessity to open up the oven lid every single time! Now you will not have to check it multiple times as you did before - each time prolonging the baking process for extra second or two - but instead you will simply need to point your cursor at the ovento see the detailed information regarding the state of the goodies currently being baked. Notice that you will be informed about each of the products that you've inserted into the oven!

We definitely hope that this small but practical feature will make your baking adventure more fun! There's much more to follow so stay tuned!

See you again - pretty soon!

Best regards,

Bakery Simulator team

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #83 “New customization possibilities!”

Hello Bakers!

Sometimes we all need just a little guidance in order to achieve greatness!

You probably know that already but Bakery Simulator will have an option that will allow a certain degree of customization in your Bakery. Let's say the floor does not look pleasing to you - well, worry no more as you'll be able to change it to one that you might find more aesthetically appropriate for your eyes! That's the magic of customization - you can always find something more suitable for yourself.

In order to make sure that you don't miss the possible customization options we're also introducing a very easy way to spot the possible areas that allow for changes. Our helpers - orange arrows - will be there to guide you and highlight all the possibilities for customizing the Bakery. Simply look around, come closer and click on it to start your magical adventure with redecorating or... upgrading!

This particular feature will also showcase what machines and functional elements of Bakery you can upgrade. As long as there is a possibility for further upgrade you will surely be aware of that!

Thank you for tuning in this week! Have a great wekeend and see you again soon!

Best regards,

Bakery Simulator team

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #82 “What was the delivery address again?”

Hello Bakers!

Remind me please, what street was that place we needed to deliver our bread to?

One of the additions that we've been working on is to make city feel more personal and alive. We noticed quite quickly that we can do that by adding a little yet meaningful touch to the game - streets names! While you're out there in the town delivering your goodies you'll now be able to quickly check where exactly you are!

Previously the city seemed to be a one uniformed town but right now with different streets and their colourful names you will easily be able to identify particular districts or streets. They all have a name meaning that you can identify where you are at a single glance as the street name that will be displayed to you right under the minimap. If someone ever asks you where you are you can just throw a street name back at them. Isn't that convenient?

Just by entering a particular street you will receive a small notification that you're now in its area - as you can see on the gif and screenshots above. This should make your driving adventures quite a bit more interesting - will you be able to visit all streets and learn their names?

Make sure to try the demo - available on Steam right now!

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #81 “When one form is not enough...”

Hello Bakers!

Being of an open mind and always expanding is a mark of true baker!

While you might have seen that in the demo of our game - and if not then make sure to give it a bake'n'shake - we're doing our best to make sure that you will always be presented with options for your own bakery! Naturally, as you grow, you'll need more and more of tools and equipment. To a certain degree you'll be able to do just so! Let's take a look at something simple following that particular description - forms!

Forms are extremely useful for shaping our goodies just the way we prefer it. But only having one form might not be enough, right? It might be awkward to keep on using that one simple form over and over again and it would make the baking process quite long. Instead - why not get yourself another form?

Or perhaps two forms? Or three? The possibilities are (almost) endless! If you need more forms then you can simply purchase them and make your baking more personalised, more "yours". We sincerely hope that will help in making your bakery feel like you want it to feel.

Make sure to try the demo - available on Steam right now!

Best regards,

Bakery Simulator team

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #80 “Oh, you've redecorated?”

Hello Bakers!

Bakery is a place full of life and change - and this time we went for some decorations!

This is a place that should feel cozy just by stepping in - first look at your very own little Bakery should make you feel warm even before starting oven! We're working hard on introducing many small additions to overall image of the Bakery to achieve that exact goal - we want the place to be as inviting as physically possible!

Sometimes a few simple pictures can change the atmosphere of the whole room - there is no need for big, ground breaking changes when you can easily achieve new levels of comfort by carefully placing decorations here and there. Sprinkling a little bit of the "homey" feeling around will definitely make the work easier and more fun!

And the whole place profits from those changes - it looks and feels better. We simply can't wait to start working and baking - in those conditions it is a pleasure to do so!

Make sure to try the demo - available on Steam right now!

Best regards,

Bakery Simulator team

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #79 “Fresh UI straight out of oven!”

Hello Bakers!

Have you played our demo yet? It's available on Steam right now - make sure to get it!

Recent few weeks have been extremely busy! We've been doing our best to make sure that the demo we offered you during the Steam Next Fest was a great deal of fun and we've already received a lot of feedback from you in that regard. We're currently doing our best to incorporate your feedback into our work and make sure that your voice was not only heard but also listened to!

In the meantime - for those of you who haven't got the chance to check the demo yet we're happy to present the UI that we've worked especially hard recently. We wanted to make sure that it conveys the feeling of coziness and warmth that one might associate with Bakery. At the same time we wanted it to be stylish and interesting and we certainly believe that we've achieved just that.

Please - let us know in the comments what do you think about our UI for the game! We're always happy to listen to you!

Thank you for your thoughts and feedback - until next time!

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #78 “Mini-games update!”

Hello Bakers!

Do you remember the mini-games we've been showcasing few weeks ago? Let's discuss some changes we've introduced to them!

As you might remember from our previous devlogs the game will feature a particular set of mini-games that will pop-up during the dough formation part of the baking process. Depending on the type of the product you want to bake those minigames will be different and will feature a different game mechanic.

Recently we've spent some time on making sure that the mini-games stay interesting and fun - we've decided on updating some of them to maximize the fun you will have when you play the game. On the screenshot above you can see one such updated minigame and how it looks like now. We've decided on sort-of quick time event - you will have to press the appropriate button in the right moment to cut the dough appropriately. Of course, image can "only" say a thousand words - when you'll have the chance to play it yourself you'll be the best judge of it!

Thank you for your thoughts and feedback - until next time!

Best regards,

Bakery Simulator team

Bakery Simulator - Devlog #77 “Let's mix around a bit!”

Hello Bakers!

There are some important things to remember when it comes to the topic of mixing your ingredient - let us review those!

Mixing is all well and good but not if you forget yourself for a moment and add to much water to the mix. If the whole thing becomes too watery it will be difficult for the dough to remain it proper shape and consistency. In that case you'll be informed about that with the short information as visible on the screenshot above - now it's an easy road to fix your mistake and make sure that the dough will be properly... "watered", right?

But there is also another side of this coin - you can also forget to add water to the mix or at least use an insufficient amount of it. Similarly as before you will be informed about it and you'll be able to fix your mistake. Of course if you choose to ignore the warning and go ahead with your initial mix you might encounter some issues along the road...

Instead of seeing "Perfect" you might see "Too wet" or "Too dry" - that will let you know something isn't right...

Now... what will happen if you mix some ingredients with no regards to the original recipe? Well... there's definitely no stopping you from doing so! You can even mix those ingredients together in a complete chaotic manner!
...however don't expect results to be too great. They say that experimenting is always interesting but in the case of bread and buns it's better to stick to the recipe. To sum it up - if you see your mixer displaying "mixable" notice - you might have made a little mistake along the road. Better to revise your steps!

Thank you for your thoughts and feedback - until next time!

Best regards,

Bakery Simulator team
