Greetings, officers!
We are continuing to broaden the list of supported languages and today we've brought in 3 languages not only for European part of the world, but also for Asian and South American! We've added Italian, Spanish and Korean!

Please keep in mind that all the updates and news will still be posted in English, Russian, German and French only.

Special events:


1) Rewards were given to the participants of the event launched on June 2nd

2) Compensations were provided to those who fought vs other players/Boris and did not receive rewards or received one and only unit over and over again.
Compensations are calculated the following way:
1 pack per each era and each faction you played on. So, the maximum amount of received packs is 9.

Fixed issues:


1) Fixed an error causing eternal loading if you used Alt+Tab.
2) Fixed a lot of occasions when the sound notifications were played incorrectly.
3) Fixed a bug, which didn't save the technologies you've researched in the Workshop tree.
4) Fixed numerous text errors in all languages.
5) Now, when leveling up, units receive bonuses for 2 characterstics, not one, as it was before.
6) Boris' learning system has been improved. Now he will be even more deadly!

Blitzkrieg 3 released!



Dear players,

With your help the development of the main part of the game has come to an end. We are pleased to announce that today, June 2, we are celebrating the long-awaited release of Blitzkrieg 3! And we’ve got you to thank for it!



Many innovations, such as trenches, mobile fortifications and various technologies, were implemented based on your requests. These solutions allowed us to preserve the atmosphere of the original series. More than 90 new units have appeared during the early access stage, and most of them were your ideas.

The team wants to give special thanks to the players who painstakingly studied historical publications and documents. You’ve helped us achieve a very high level of historical authenticity: your recommendations and comments allowed us to correct more than 800 inaccuracies in graphics, characteristics and balance. Without your help, this would be impossible even with the involvement of historical consultants.

Your ideas and desire to have a worthy and, most importantly, fair computer opponent prompted us to create Boris, the world's first neural network artificial intelligence for RTS.

Please note that on 1st of June we’ve reset the progress of all accounts.You can now fully appreciate all the numerous innovations and complete all 3 campaigns while enjoying their full-featured final versions, updated graphics and voice-over.

It is also very important for the players to be on an equal footing at the start of the project. Everyone will start from scratch. The outcome of battles will be determined by tactics rather than an endless reserve of machinery! However, your previous experience will undoubtedly become an advantage.
The game’s development does not stop there, and all your wishes and comments are still very important for the Blitzkrieg 3 team and will be taken into account when developing the game further!

Technical patch №6



Changes in the game:


1) Added new voice lines in different languages.
2) Added a special medal for those, who supported the game during the Early Access phase.
3) Added new technology icons into the Workshop.

Fixed issues:


1) Aiming system has been improved. Now attacks that are conducted through obstacles are correctly recognized and cause corresponding damage.
2) Fixed loading of the saves made in the mission "Operation Shingle".
3) Fixed a bug which made howitzer in the mission "Operation Shingle" work incorrectly.
4) Fixed several issues on Skirmish modes maps
5) Fixed the bug, as a result of which loading of a mission or a battle could repeat itself twice.
6) Fixed a bug related to the capture of CP in missions.
7) Fixed and added scrolling capabilities on some maps and interface elements.

Global wipe on June 1st!



Dear players,
On June 1st everyone's progress will be reset, as we've told you about over the past few years.

During the Early Access phase, the project changed dramatically - we added more than 60 missions, 90 vehicle models, about 70 new maps, 3 full-scale campaigns, new game modes, and a tutorial. Progress wipe will help you to fully experience all the innovations, go through all 3 campaigns while enjoying their integrity, updated graphics and voice acting.

Technical patch №5



Changes in the game:


1. New voice lines added to missions and pvp-battles.

Fixed issues:


1. Skirmish 2x2 and 3x3 modes are now working properly.
2. Fixed save issue in "Harborage" mission.
3. Following balance corrections made:
- Reduced chance of knocking tank treads for regular troops and anti-tank rifles.
- Throwing grenades distance has been significantly reduced for infantry units.
- Snipers' shooting range has been increased from 65 to 75.
- Trenches no longer provide a bonus to invisibility and increased accuracy.
- Researching of improvement for the smokescreen now costs 450 research points.
- Howitzers' shells now deal damage only to the vehicle they hit without affecting nearby vehicles.
- Accuracy of tanks at long range is reduced.

Known issues:


1. There will be more voice lines changed and added soon.
2. On the Skirmish 2x2 and 3x3 start screen you can not change the commander selected earlier.

Polish and Czech languages added!



Greetings, officers!

We are very proud of our project and we want as many people as possible to try Blitzkrieg 3 out and enjoy playing it. We are beginning to expand the list of languages supported in the game, and today we've added Polish and Czech localization!

Please keep in mind that we will continue to publish updates and news only in English, German, Russian and French.

New deluxe mission - Harborage!



Changes in the game:



1. Rewards for winning battles against artificial intelligence, Boris, have been added.

2. Added an icon on the globe by clicking on which you will be able to enter the battle against Boris.
 


3. New mission for the Allies added - "Harborage"!



April 1945. Intelligence reports that the German command had evacuated a part of its nuclear program, including scientists and developments, to the south of Germany. You, as the commander of the US special forces, are instructed to act in any country, including foreign ones. Find and take out all the documents, prototypes and nuclear materials you can find, and destroy those you are not able to collect. When the war comes to its end, this sector will be under French's control and we can not allow France, other countries of the coalition and especially Communists lay their hands on these technologies.



Mission's special feature is the entry of your troops into a radioactive zone in which infantry and vehicles' crews can receive a large dose of radiation and die if you do not leave the dangerous territory in time.



4. Reworked "March on Daugavpils" mission.
Balance has been improved, task considering capturing the headquarters changed, several minor bugs fixed.

5. Changed icons marking units characteristics in the information about unit screen to new ones.

6. Added Polish and Czech localization.


Fixed issues:



1. Fixed several optimization issues. Loading time reduced, FPS ratio improved. Please keep in mind that we will keep working in this direction even after this patch! :)

2. Fixed issues causing the loading of the game and missions to stuck.

3. Fixed a number of issues which prevented people from playing in Custom game rooms and joining battles.

4. Fixed a bug which added an extra T-34 to your Assault Group in "Operation in Messina" mission.


Known issues:



1. Saves in "Harborage" mission are not working properly.

2. Skirmish 2x2 and 3x3 modes are temporarily blocked. Don't worry, they will be back!

Technical patch №4



New features:


New detailed characteristics have been added to the unit information screen. Now you are able to see how achieveing levels and reseaching unit enhancements affects unit's characteristics.

Fixed issues:


1) Corrected the display of heatlh/armor characteristic on the globe.
2) Fixed and issue due to which "Hold fire" order on the command panel did not work correctly when used on infantry hiding in trenches.
3) Fixed the display of save complete message when the game is on pause.
4) Display of units' fire range had been fixed. Previously it could have go over the minimap's borders.
5) Closing the chat while gathering up your Attack Group is now working correctly.
6) Characteristics affected by commander's bonuses are now displayed the way they should be displayed.
7) Fixed a matchmaking issue in PvP modes.
8) Now the reserve panel won't close up when the unit you called in arrives to the battlefield.
9) Fixed most of the mobile fortifications animations.
10) Fixed several issues in workshop enhancements.
11) Fixed the issue which prevented AI in Base Assault from attacking a group of mobile fortifications with howitzer salvo.
12) Now you are able to leave the maintenance works screen without any problems through clicking on the cross on that screen.

Technical patch №3



In the technical patch following changes have been implemented:



1) You are now able to transfer your units from reserve to the Attack Group (while preparing to battle) using single mouse button click.
2) Now you can cancel your reinforcements 'call. To make so, you need to click on the unit which is on its way already and it won't arrive to the battlefield.
3) Added a screen where you need to confirm your wish to go from the globe to the Base.
4) Added research points counter to the end of the battle screen. Now you are able to see how much of them did you gain for each mission/fight.
5) Game session has been optimised. For example, buildings are now shown correctly while the fog is on the battlefield.
6) Added sound effect connected to usage of commands on the command panel.
7) Added new info screens which will provide description on the error you may possibly meet. For example, this screen may tell you that the error encountered was a connection error, not a game one.
8) Text describing objectives completion on the victory screen color has been changed to white.
9) Changed icons of the upgrades in the Workshop.


Technical issues:



1) Fixed the matchmaking issue which made a player who reached 3rd era who played through the Frontline on 1st era fight an opponent on 3rd era maps with 3rd era units. Now you will fight on 1st era :)
2) Now Research Points are given for victories in AI's base defence (When you are offline, AI is defending your Base. If it had it success and the attacker failed, you will receive Research Points!).
3) Fixed the display of arrows in the Workshop screen.
4) Fixed the pop-ups with text descriptions of avia-supports on the globe and in battles.
5) 3 era USSR anti-aircraft fortification is displayed correctly now.
6) Fixed a bug because of which the log of events from the Base went into missions and multiplayer.
7) Removed the timer from the modes "Skirmish 2х2" and "Skirmish 3х3".

Technical patch №2



In the technical patch following issues have been solved:



1) Fixed Boris' (artificial intelligence in Custom game) behaviour. Boris used to call in units from 3d era in 1st and 2nd era lobbies.

2) Fixed an issue which caused 3rd era players who used Frontline from 1st or 2nd era to enter assault modes to fight in 3rd era assault. Now you will play against the era selected, not always the 3rd one.

3) Fixed a bug in "Direct fire" side mission.
Previously, there were several fortifications standing in one same place, now it has been corrrected and only one is on that spot.

4) Fixed a bug which messed up the assault group from the description of the mission screen and the actual assault group in the fight.
Now the units you selected on the screen with mission description will go in the battle with you, not the other ones :)

5) Fixed visibility of an anti-aircraft gun in Siege of Sevastopol. Now it is easy to spot and with that, possible to complete the mission without loosing several troops to its fire.

6) Fixed a bug in Workshop for the German faction which made it impossible to buy upgrades for StuG and Nashorn. Now you can purchase them and continue upgrading your units.
