New Features



  • New Hero: Agent Jericho
    - Turn up the pressure on your opponents with cheaper rushes and enhanced natural bloons.
    - Siphon away their cash with the Seize Assets special ability.
    - Send an invulnerable decoy bloon down their track to distract their monkeys from your own rushes.
  • New Hero: Highwayman Jericho
    - Unlock Highwayman Jericho with Jericho points
    - Steal a chunk of your opponent’s cash with the Stand and Deliver special ability. If they can’t pay, one of their towers will be forcibly sold to pay for it.
    - Send your opponent’s own bloons back at them with the Misdirection ability.
  • New Map: COBRA Command
    - Defend COBRA HQ from the bloon attack.
    - Activate the hidden panic buttons in the furniture to reveal more placement areas, including water.
    - Hit the alarm to open a secret passage on the opponent's side letting the bloons take a shorter path towards the exit.
  • Season 12
    - A brand new bling season full of awesome rewards.
    - Show off your power with the Supercharger bloon decals and the Thunder Tower Boost.
    - Collect awesome Agent Jericho cosmetics from the Diamond Heist Showcase
    - Unlock cool Fusty the Snowman cosmetics from the Fusty the Snowboarder showcase.
  • Accolades
    - Collect achievements by reaching certain milestones.
    - Show off the accolades you unlock on your profile like medals.
    - Accolades are secret until you unlock them. Can you find them all?

General Changes



  • Thin Ice Map
    - This map will no longer appear in Hall of Masters ranked games.
    - This map resulted in much longer games than we’d like in Hall of Masters games due to its long path. It will no longer appear in Hall of Masters ranked games but will still appear in casual and event games.

Balance Changes



  • Bloon Sends
    - Spaced ceramics: income 4 -> 5 and spacing 0.9 -> 0.75
    - Spaced ceramics rarely get sent as an effective rush, so we have improved the efficiency and made them slightly more dangerous. This will hopefully make them more of a viable option for pressuring your opponent whilst building income.
  • Boomerang Monkey
    - xx5 MOAB Domination: $60k -> $55k
    - xx5 MOAB Domination: Special kylie moab damage 30 -> 40
    - MOAB Domination did not do enough damage to justify its high price tag, so we have reduced its cost and increased its damage.
    - Sniper Monkey
    - xx4 Full Auto Rifle: Bonus MOAB damage 1 -> 2 (xx5 remains at 2)
    - Bonus MOAB damage from 105 and 205 crosspaths now applies to 104 and 204 crosspaths.
    - The bottom path of the sniper does not see much use in general so we are increasing its MOAB damage in the interim ahead of more substantial changes in a future update.
  • Monkey Sub
    - xx5 Sub Commander: Now increases the range of all subs by +20
    - xx5 Sub Commander: Pierce increase for other subs +4 -> +6
    - Sub has always been a popular tower, however its bottom path has never been utilised much.
  • Monkey Buccaneer
    - 4xx Aircraft Carrier: Missile damage 15 -> 20 and damage type changed to unstoppable
    - 5xx Carrier Flagship: Missile damage 50 -> 60
    - Buccaneer has shown to be a useful tower for its money generation and early game popping power, as well as its easy MOAB defense with its ability. However, it felt lacking in general late-game damage, therefore we have buffed its top path.
  • Wizard Monkey
    - xx4 Necromancer: Max graveyard capacity 500 -> 450 (xx5 capacity unchanged)
    - x4x Summon Phoenix: Phoenix Pierce 10 -> 8
    - Wizard has become one of the most used towers in all arenas, with its necromancer and phoenix attacks standing out as its strong points.
  • Alchemist
    - 5xx Permanent Brew: range 55 -> 45
    - Now that permanent brew has shown to be an incredibly strong and efficient upgrade in the late game, the extra range that this upgrade provides no longer felt necessary.
  • Spike Factory
    - xx5 Permaspike: damage 10 -> 15
    - This upgrade very rarely sees use, as it is outclassed by spike factory’s other paths.
  • Engineer Monkey
    - x5x Ultraboost: max ultraboost stacks per tower 10 -> 5
    - x5x Ultraboost: Each stack increases attack speed by 4% -> 8%
    - For such an expensive upgrade, it takes too long to get the full effect from this upgrade, and so we have doubled the effect from each buff in order to help with this.
  • Gwendolin
    - Base Cost: $850 -> $800
  • Science Gwen
    - Base Cost: $850 -> $800
    - We reduced Gwendolin and Scientist Gwenodlin’s price in a previous update, however it did not have much effect, therefore we are reducing it again to encourage them to be used more often.
  • Sentai Churchill
    - Level 3: High Energy Shells ability increases attack speed by 50% -> 45%
    - Sentai Churchill has still proven to be one of the strongest and most popular heroes in Hall of Masters, so we are giving it another small nerf to bring it more in line with the other heroes.
  • Cyber Quincy
    - Level 3: Cyber Shot ability duration increased from 2s + 0.5s per level to 5s + 0.5s per level
    - There was a bug with Quincy and Cyber Quincy where the ability itself had a different duration from the buff it created, meaning the effect was always cut short even as we increased the duration through other balance patches. This has now been fixed and both abilities are lasting the duration we intended.
  • Quincy
    - Level 3: Rapid Shot ability duration is 2s + 0.5s per level
    - This is not a change, but as the bug mentioned above meant that no previous change to Quincy’s ability duration was actually applied, it’s worth noting for future context.
  • Benjamin
    - Base Cost: $1200 -> $1000
    - Level 5: all banks earn +5% -> +8% income
    - Level 9: all banks earn 12% -> 14% income
    - Level 8: generates $250 -> $400 per round
    - Level 11: generates $300 -> $600 per round
    - Level 15: generates $500 -> $1000 per round
    - Level 17: generates $800 -> $2000 per round
  • DJ Benjammin’
    - Base Cost: $1200 -> $1000
    - Level 5: all banks earn +5% -> +8% income
    - Level 9: all banks earn 12% -> 14% income
    - Level 8: generates $187 -> $300 per round
    - Level 11: generates $225 -> $600 per round
    - Level 15: generates $375 -> $750 per round
    - Level 17: generates $600 -> $1500 per round
    - Benjamin and DJ Benjamin do not see as much use recently. We have made it easier to place Benjamin early on, and improved his buff to Banks to allow for more potential for them to be used in combination with him. Furthermore, his income generation did not feel significant enough to be of much impact, so we increased his income amounts in the later levels.

  • Fixed Activated Abilities displaying as on cooldown when they are ready if a recent upgrade reduced the cooldown.

  • Fixed hero reward backgrounds incorrectly changing colour when scrolling.

  • Fixed being able to place Monkey Subs and Buccaneers in the pools on Bloon Bot Factory without opening the hatch.
  • Fixed 4xx Tack Shooter occasionally not gaining camo detection from the x2x Village if Gwen was nearby.

  • Fixed xx5 Supermonkey’s shield not displaying correctly.

  • Bloon Sends
    - Grouped reds income 1 -> 0.9
    - Spaced blues income 1 -> 0.8
    - Grouped blues income 1.1 -> 1
    - Spaced greens income 1.2 -> 0.9
    - Spaced yellows income 1.5 -> 1.2
    - Spaced pinks income 1.5 -> 1.4
    - Spaced purples income 3.5 -> 3.3
    - Spaced zebras income 2.8 -> 2.7

    - We have found that income strategies are allowing players to earn too much money in the early game, making them necessary even when playing farms. We’d like income vs farms to be more of a choice and so have reduced the income value of the most efficient early bloon sends.
  • Bloon Bot Factory
    - Flying towers like the Monkey Ace, Heli Pilot, and Phoenix will continue to function even if their base has gone down with the elevator.
    - Pools have been made slightly smaller so that you can no longer place both a Buccaneer and Pat in the same pool.
    - Buffs from monkeys and heroes that affect the entire map, such as Striker Jones’ level 5 or the 5xx Banana Farm, will continue to work even if the tower has gone down with the elevator.
    - We noticed that Pat Fusty and the Buccaneer were dominating play on this map and that very few players were engaging with the elevators. We hope that these changes, along with the change to Ocean Obyn, will allow for more viable strategies when playing in Bloon Bot Factory.
  • Monkey Buccaneer
    - xx1 Long Range: $180 -> $300
    - We felt the pierce buff this upgrade gives to Grape Shot is a bit too powerful for such a cheap upgrade. This change also increases the cost to get to the xx3 Merchantman upgrade which is extremely efficient at both cash generation and defence.
  • Alchemist
    - x2x Perishing Potions: DoT damage interval 0.75s -> 1s
    - x2x Perishing Potions: duration 2.25s -> 3s
    - Base pierce 15 -> 14
    - 1xx Larger Potions: pierce bonus +8 -> +6
    - The alchemist is showing to be very strong in the early and mid-game at group popping power. These changes should bring it slightly more in line with other towers that serve a similar role.
  • Ocean Obyn
    - ♂️ Ocean Obyn can now be placed on water or land.
    - As mentioned above, we hope that giving Ocean Obyn the ability to be placed on water will help reduce Pat Fusty’s monopoly on the Bloon Bot Factory map, as well as giving an additional reason to use Ocean Obyn over Obyn Greenfoot.

    - A classic favorite makes its Battles 2 debut
    - All sources of cash are doubled.
    - All income changes from bloon sends are doubled (including negative ones)
    - Sudden Death lasts only one round and starts on Round 100 instead of Round 40.

    - An all-new, never before seen game mode.
    - All heroes, towers, upgrades and bloon sends start twice as expensive as normal.
    - Prices are reduced for each life you lose below the starting amount.

Update 1.8 is now live - New Maps, Banana Farmer & more!


Happy new year, Ninjas! It's our first batch of new content for 2023, so here's what's new:

New Features



  • Banana Farmer
    - The Banana Farmer helps out in games by picking up collectibles for you.
    - He’ll pick up anything that you’d normally have to tap or mouse over to collect, such as bananas (obviously), bloon traps, supply crates, Obyn’s Wall of Trees, etc.
    - Each Banana Farmer is single-use. He only lasts until the end of the game or until you sell him.
    - You can purchase Banana Farmers in the shop for Monkey Money. Your first pack is free!
  • Bloon Bot
    - The Bloon Bot automatically sends Bloons at your opponent for income so you can focus on defense.
    - It will continually send whichever Bloon you choose until you manually send some or tap/click on it to stop.
    - It will stop sending if you run out of cash but will resume as soon as you can afford the chosen Bloon send again.
    - Each Bloon Bot is single use. It only lasts until the end of the game or until you sell it.
    - You can purchase Bloon Bots in the shop for Monkey Money. Your first pack is free!
  • New Map: Banana Depot
    - This new map is available in Ranked games from White Wasteland onwards and in Casual, Private and Event games.
    - Space is hard to come by in this busy depot. You’ll need to pay to send the trucks on their way if you want more space for your towers.
  • New Map: Bloon Bot Factory
    - This new map is available in Ranked games from Lead Dungeon onwards and in Casual, Private and Event games.
    - One of the large elevators descends into the depths of the factory every two rounds, temporarily removing all towers placed on it. You’ll need a backup defense to succeed on this map!
    - Keep an eye on the warning lights and sirens next to the elevators. They signal when one of the elevators is about to descend, giving you a few moments to react before your towers disappear.
  • Season 10
    - A brand new bling season has started!
    - Unlock awesome new cosmetics by earning Golden Bananas including the Voxel DDT and the Technical Tower Boost.
    - Collect new items for Striker Jones and Biker Bones in two new hero showcases: War Games and King of Flame.

New Features



  • New Hero: Pat Fusty
    - Unlock Fusty the Snowman with Pat Fusty Points
  • New Season Rewards System
    - The Bling screen is being replaced by a new Season screen.
    - Rather than purchasing Bling items for Monkey Money, they are now earned by completing Quests.
    - Complete Quests to earn Golden Bananas and progress along the reward track, unlocking items as you go.
    - The reward track will contain all of the current season’s bling items and two new hero showcases.
    - There are a limited number of quests available to complete each day. VIPs can complete unlimited quests and earn double the number of Golden Bananas.
    - Visit the Season screen to view your current quests and your progress along the reward track.
    - Your bling collection can is now accessed via the icon on the right of the main screen or via your profile.
  • Season 9
    - The first season to use the new reward system. All season items can be unlocked through gameplay by completing quests.
    - 12 new cosmetics including Football BFB, Angelic Bloon Boost, and Hieroglyphics avatar
    - King Fusty Showcase: Pat Fusty stomps through the city with 6 new cosmetic items.
    - Snow Sculptures Showcase: Fusty the Snowman shows off his artistic talents with 6 new cosmetic items.
  • VIP Private Matches
    - VIPs can now create private matches using rules from special events.
    - Currently, this includes Random Quad, Play with Fire, and Speed Battles with more events due to be added in the future.
    - VIPs who create private matches with special rules can invite non-VIPs to play in them.

  • Fixed MOAB class bloons turning the wrong way when rounding corners on Bloontonium Mines
  • Fixed incorrect maths that meant Benjamin’s bank hack upgrade was not buffing banks enough
  • Fixed track placeables not being able to be placed on walls in castle ruins

Balance Changes



  • Hero XP
    - The in-game XP required for Quincy, Cyber Quincy, Gwen, Science Gwen, Churchill and Sentai Churchill to reach each level has been reverted to the amounts used before 1.6.
    - The intent of the v1.6 hero XP change was to limit the power of the stronger heroes in the early/mid game, requiring you to spend more money if you wish to obtain powerful abilities such as Obyn’s Wall of Trees on the same rounds as before. However this change has also affected the lesser used heroes, which was not necessary, and so we have reverted the change for those heroes in hopes that this will encourage more usage of them.
  • Engineer Monkey
    - xx4/xx5 Bloon Trap can no longer be affected by attack speed buffs such as Overclock
    - x4x Overlock buff to Banana Farm changed from x1.67 to x1.5

Bug Fixes



  • Fixed regen rainbow bloons crashing the game if allowed to regenerate indefinitely. Regen bloons will now stop regening while there is an exceptionally high number of bloons on screen.
  • Fixed Buccaneer being unable to attack frozen MOABs with its ability
  • Fixed longer upgrade descriptions overflowing from the text box.
  • Fixed Sun Avatar drawing sacrifices from the Sun Temples range instead of the Sun Avatar’s range
