New Game Forever is now not quite forever as after pounding the King 3 times even he gives up (not that it's expected you'll survive that long but at least it guarantees a max play time). If you don't want it to end though the Creative Plaything now has a new 'Truly Forever' option for it to ignore the cap. There's been quite a lot of changes and rebalances too since the Early Access so I also went through the various NGF leaderboards skimming off runs that went beyond NGF2 so it's more of a level playing field.
//other New Game Forever changes - The extra +50% Health boost bosses get in NGF has been reduced to +20% (mainly as the King Gigald fight dragged on rather too long). - King Gigald: The score bonus for killing him is now multiplied by the NGF loop. - King Gigald: There's now a small delay to his starting attacks based on how many Shade bosses spawn (to give a little breather before the chaos).
//misc changes - Updated to the latest version of GameMaker (might improve compatibility). - Updated the "translation_reference.csv" file. - The save backup system can now detect partial save file wipes, in which case it's treated as a fully wiped save. - The backup save file will now only be updated after you've died once (so just entering the hub then exiting won't trigger it). - King Gigald: Increased the score bonus from killing him to 25000 per phase (increased from 10000). - Queen Gigalicious: Increased the score bonus from killing her to 50000 per phase (increased from 20000). - Doll Maker class: The chance of being offered Cannibal/Bandit when boneraising is now more consistent (since they now override base upgrade offerings). - Dryad enemy: Upon death they now grow an Elden Tree root. - Heavenly Vessels enemy: They now have additional 22% chance of being blessed. - Horoscope Charm relic / Blanked Scroll spell: These now have a collective soft cap on the Banishes they can give (the more Banishes they give the less chance of them giving another until a hard cap of 9). - Scavvy Mitts relic: The starting Blacksmith will no longer sell this relic. - Deboning Cutlery relic: Changed the description so it's clear it's a Skelly minion that will be raised. - Spellious Spewious spell: This now can't give a Spellious Spewious spell.
//bug fixes - Some minion attacks weren't conforming with the Ghostly Minions setting. - Castle Conquest: It was possible for a Curse to trigger during the end stage sequence which could cause issues. - Castle Conquest: Loading a game would sometimes not remove all of your spells from the previous run. - Keepsake Key meta: It could give a non-normal starting minion for Doll Maker and Beast Whisperer classes. - Confused enemies that have a ranged attack were still able to run towards you and use their ranged attacks. - Goblusious the Scholastic: Fixed some text issues.

Surely Steam wouldn't wipe the backup of the backup? - Regrowth Returnal spell: This has been tweaked so having less of the contraption benefits more than having a lot (eg having 1 Bushy Fruit will more quickly regrow now than if you had 4).
//bug fixes - The Spellious Dealer traveller could cause a game freeze. - Castle Conquest: The Stage Complete screen music was using the Radio music instead of the Prologue music, which could also cause a crash if no Radio tune was selected. - Castle Conquest: The save file wasn't being deleted correctly so could cause issues if playing as the same Class over multiple runs. - Castle Conquest: The Readers Digest meta could give you a free spell if you loaded a save which didn't have any spells. - Compendium - Leaderboards: Pressing Up to change the map would skip over the Unsanctified Crypt map. - When starting a Castle Conquest the initial Blacksmith event would sometimes not pause the stage music. - The dark red colour of Deamon minions wouldn't change to the correct Meldus colour which affected some minions/spells (eg Manic Mime). - Majick Doppelganger minion: He could cast spells at the end of a Castle Conquest stage which could cause issues. - Jewellery Box relic: This could create slimes at the end of a Castle Conquest stage which could cause issues.

Save files now have a link to your Steam Account. So for example if you have a Steam Deck with multiple Steam Accounts then each user will now have their own separate save files.
You can now delete all of your Boneraiser Steam Achievements via the Delete Save Settings menu, in case you want to relive Thy First Boner.

A new Gamepad Setting has been added called "360 Stick". When on it allows for 360 degree movement when using the left analogue stick (though not dashing). It gives a smoother feel to the movement though I find it less predictable where you're heading hence why it's not on by default, but you may prefer it.
//Crypt Hub changes - When choosing a Class there's now 3 potential gems above the class showing progression (full class meta, beat off King, Beat off Queen). - Added an extra gem colour around the coffin to also show which classes have pounded the Queen (grey -> purple -> blue -> yellow). - Added a tutorial ghosty that explains the Heroic Force since it's important info that can be missed (he'll show up after you have 12+ Boneraise Lore meta).
//misc changes - Changed the Heroic Force meta description so it references that they can add extra stages. - Blight: Enemies suffering from Blight now reduce their move speed as soon as they lose any Health (instead of it only starting at 66% Health). - Money Bag relic: This relic now gives +500 Gold Coins (instead of 250). It now also increases your Score by the same amount. - Midas Touch spell: Doubled the amount of Gold Coins this spell gifts you. It now also increases your Score by the same amount.
//bug fixes - Starting in Fullscreen mode then alt-tabbing would not show the game in the Windows Task Bar. - Starting in Fullscreen mode would put the game on a second monitor if available. - Class Heritage: Changing the class could trigger if you held the Confirm button down when moving into the central slot. - The title screen's meta cheat wasn't resetting inputs correctly (so was easy to trigger by mashing controls). - Imp Contraptioneer: During the King Gigald fight he could remake the contraptions that the King destroyed when falling on them. - Miserable Wretch event: If this resulted in you gaining a Spell it wasn't telling you what the spell was. - King Gigald: Some contraptions that he falls on weren't being destroyed (eg Fungal Growths). - Settings - Gamepad: The Escape button was incorrectly labelled as Status. - Castle Conquest - Game Over: If you just reloaded a save then the score shown would instantly change to the loaded score.

When starting the game, if it detects that there isn't a save file or it's been wiped (eg due to a BSOD or power outage) but the backup save file does exist and has data in it, then it will now create a new save file from the backup data (so you don't have to do this manually).
//misc changes - Crypt Hub: When interacting with the Leaderboard painting the view will now default to the Surround scores, or if you don't yet have a score then default to The Elite (so it doesn't initially just show an empty leaderboard). - Castle Conquest - Soul Receptacle contraption: At the end of the stage it will now empty its stored Hero Soul (and be sucked to you). - Castle Conquest - Palace Lift map: 2 Slop Pot contraptions have been added (so the Imp Contraptioneer class has something to use his ability on). - Castle Conquest - Queen's Palace map: The regular Treasure Chests have been replaced with Treasured Chesty contraptions (so the Imp Contraptioneer class has something to use his ability on). - Lunatic Fanatic mini-boss: His extra balls will now always spawn directly opposite to you (so you have a bit of time to get out of its way). - The basic Custodian level 1/2 enemies can now be affected by the House of Wax spell and Mighty Manipulor minion. - Haunted Ghosts now conform with the Ghostly Minions setting (eg from a Sullern Urn relic or Fleetly Hauntings spell). - Blessed Slimes and Swollen Slimes now drop pink/yellow gems upon death (instead of dropping bones). - Psycho Possessed class: After choosing a class to possess it will now show a countdown screen if you have the Item Countdown setting on. - Marshes of Madness map: Slightly darkened the floor and shoreline (so a bit less visual clutter).
//bug fixes - Castle Conquest - Psycho Possessed class: It wasn't saving and detecting save files correctly whilst using this class. - Hub Buddies: You wrongly needed level 2 before the "discover undiscovered item" option would show. - Beast Whisperer class: Their Meldus colour palette wasn't working (eg used by a Manic Mime minion or Mimicry Tears spell). - Souleater Dealer: He wasn't offering minions. He could offer minions/relics you haven't yet discovered. - Gaunt Skewerer minion: During a boss fight he would sometimes teleport to you instead of continuing to attack the boss. - Pumpkin Bro minion: They weren't entering their Chase animation during a King/Queen boss fight. - Berry Bro minion: If exploded it wasn't counting towards their max cap (so were unlimited). - Blood Pact relic: Giving a Loot Box or Forged Soul would give extra benefits (eg extra relics). - The Service Bell and Crystal Ball could spawn traveller events at the same time as other traveller events. - Some minion attacks could inflict Hex on bosses (eg Bloater Spores). - King Gigald: If he was using a special skin colour then it could also affect the colours of other objects (eg in the Unsanctified Crypt map). - Boning Totem contraption: This wasn't working correctly with Waxen Beggar minions.

//castle conquest bug fixes - If you reloaded a save file from the Game Over screen then it could still submit your online score to the leaderboard. - Classes that gain a max health boost weren't being applied when starting a new stage until you boneraised (eg Liche Necromancer). - If you were fast enough you could outrun the stage end bone suckage thus continuing the stage which was useful if you had the likes of Barrow Diggers (now these minions/contraptions don't spawn new goodies so there's no point in sticking around). - Imp Contraptineer class: Save files weren't keeping track of his Scrap value.
//misc bug fixes - The Nice achievement wasn't triggering. - Mausoleum Awakens - Untended Townisle map: The base contraptions weren't being spawned. - Crypt Hub - If you sold/forgot Boneraise Lore meta that affected the hub (eg Hub Buddies) then it wouldn't immediately update some hub objects. - Crypt Hub - Fabellia would be unlocked once you have at least 5 hats (instead of only unlocking if you have the Hub Buddies meta). - If you killed the King/Queen while as a Snowman it would cause a crash. - Mausoleum Awakens - New Game Forever: When using the Fortuity Destiny map it would randomise the map each loop. - Creative Plaything - Escape Menu: The "quit to creative hub" option wasn't working correctly. - Beast Whisperer class: Some minions weren't benefiting from the Boning Totem contraption. - Roaming Traveller: Some events were showing your current spells (it should only be the spell seller). - Having the Light Mode setting on would start the game with a bright green screen for a little bit. - Fixed some typos.
