//New Game Forever tweaks - Removed the previous patch's bone value reduction in each loop (since the game is about building a bone gang after all). - Reduced the bonus health the King has in each loop (felt like the fight went on rather too long). - Boss attacks now do more damage each loop. - Slightly increased the enemy base movement speed for each loop.
//misc - Item Countdown setting: You can now skip the countdown by pressing Menu Confirm.
//bug fixes - New Game Forever: The King would cause a crash when spawning after the first loop. - Opening the Boneworld Challenge leaderboard without first playing a regular game would cause a crash. - When levelling up a minion there was a chance it could level up a Manic Mime currently miming that minion. - Meldusmania Marrow heritage: When randomly changing Meldus minions it was ignoring any Manic Mimes that were currently miming a non-Meldus minion. - Big Slimes weren't dropping their Clashful Card.
Patch v8.1
Thanks for all the feedback on the new New Game Forever mode! Made some balance changes so later loops are tougher, bug fixes, general feedback stuff. :]
//misc - On the Compendium Leaderboard for Mausoleum Awakening you can now toggle between the New Game Forever and normal modes. - The scaling of enemy health in NGF is increased for each loop (previously it was 10->20->30->40, but now it's 10->20->40->80). - Enemies get a bit faster in each NGF loop. - The value of bones is slightly reduced in each NGF loop. - The amount of extra Champions, Flag Wavers, Wizards, from their relevant meta is reduced each NGF loop. - Wretch's Treasured Archeology heritage: There's now a chance a Digger won't dig up a scroll/relic based on how many relics you currently have. - Vampire's Marrow Succor heritage: Added a scaling to its max health boost which reduces the boost the more you have (scaling begins at 444 max health). - Service Bell relic: Reduced how often the merchant shows up in each NGF loop. - Bernard's Watch relic: The invincibility effect is reduced in each NGF loop.
//bug fixes - New Game Forever: Minions carried over from a previous loop were running into issues (eg some couldn't be upgraded or sacrificed). - Increased the code cap on the max amount of minions and relics you can have (previously you were capped to 99 relics). - On the Compendium Leaderboards you could wrongly see a NGP one over the max. - Royal Causeway: The right section wasn't creating all contraption slots, and you couldn't move up in Architect Mode. - Manic Mime minion: Some of its sprite colours weren't correct when miming certain minions (eg deamons).
Mischievous Monday #8
Welcome back Wretched in this spookiest of months. :]
The Mausoleum Awakening now has a New Game Forever mode (assuming you have the Journey Into Beyonds meta at level 3). After pounding the King you'll be given the option of continuing the run which loops back to the beginning, though you get to keep your minions, relics, score, etc. However, each loop increases the enemy health and their chance of spawning as Blessed. New Game Forever has its own set of leaderboards and can be combined with New Game Plus (though good luck with that!)
A new class has been added called the Meldum Afflicted, who specialises in meldus minions. Two new meldus minions have also been added. The Manic Mime periodically transforms into random minions from your current legion but with a nice speed boost. The Giantan Mucusoums has a short range blobule attack as well as a Meld Rot aura which any enemies afflicted by will explode into meld blobules upon their death.
A new map has been added called the Royal Causeway. It has limited contraption slots so choose them wisely, but enemies only arrive from the left and right so it has a bit of a tower defence vibe. A new contraption has also been added called the Possessed Royal Lampelier which aside from its fiery attack also increases the chances of being offered Giant Inflamenous Bros.
In the gameplay settings you can now find an Item Countdown option, which when on will create a quick countdown before resuming play after choosing a boneraise/relic/spell.
5 achievements have been added associated with the new content.
Some misc changes... - Boneraising Meld minions no longer needs two level 3 minions, instead only one of them needs to be level 3. - The High Wizard will now slowly move faster if he isn't attacking (so you can't just endlessly run away from him). - Tangler Creep minions will now generate hearts much slower against bosses (especially against the King). - When boneraising a Destineous minion it will now say what minion was raised.
And some bug fixes... - The Journey Into Beyonds level 2 meta was displaying the wrong number of NGP. - When levelling up normal minions some would need to attack before their sprite colour updated correctly. - The Voodoo Doll and Diseased Meat could wrongly have an affect on very high health enemies (eg Bosses). - The player's active health bar could still be seen during a curse of Blindness. - Pumpkin Bros and their Giant variant weren't correctly animating when chasing enemies.
Enjoy! :]
Patch v7.2
//misc - Curse of Blindness: Added text to the Status Screen so it's clear the screen not fully showing isn't a bug.
//bug fixes - Ghost Watchers could cause a softlock if they attempted to summon ghosts when surrounded by a lot of enemies. - Status Screen: You could move over to the Spells side when you had no spells to show. - Flam Bros were unable to damage Rat Totems. - Bandits had a small chance of spawning inside blocking objects. - A dying Wyrm could spawn goblins inside of blocking objects.
Patch v7.1
Btw in yesterday's MM7 I forgot to mention it also added a new boss (the news post has been updated). :]
//misc - Added some sound effects to the new enemies from MM7 when they attack. - Wanted Poster relic: Reduced its effect in the Skirmishes game mode.
//bug fixes - The Elven Wayfinder could cause a crash when attacking. - The Bandits/Zombies/Watcher Survival achievements weren't popping. - Necrotic Skirmishes: Blessed enemies weren't showing by default (until late game). - The Boomeranger sprite colours could show wrongly. - The Fanatic's ball could push the Rat Totem around. - Bosses wouldn't attack if they were very close to the edge of the level. - The Curse of Wrath wasn't creating nature enemies during boss fights.
Mischievous Monday #7
Welcome back wretched. :]
A couple of new Heroic Force meta have been added to spice things up a tad. The Bone Gang Bandits meta can create waves of Bandits who can mug thee of coin, Zombies who are just as dangerous without a head, and the Ghost Watchers who summon endless ghostly heroes. They each form their own waves and can split a special stage in two, so you may face Gnoblins initially only to be followed by the mugger Bandits.
A new boss has been added too, the Elven Wayfinder. He can randomly replace the High Wizard and sprays ever more arrows to avoid.
The Heavenly Intervention meta creates Blessed human meanies, who are twice as tough and are a bit more dangerous but also drop twice the loot. They are also used in the tail end of Necrotic Skirmishes and New Game Plus pretty much just to reduce the overall amount of enemies on screen. The level 3 of this meta also adds Heavenly Vessels who can show up in waves like the other new meta and have a lightning surprise.
Some other new stuff... - Added 2 class meta for the Wretch (Chestious Treasury, Treasured Archeology) related to them finding extra spells/relics in chests and by digging them up. - Added 5 achievements associated with the new content. - Added 5 relics (Watering Can, Manky Fingerer, Stolen Divinity, Magpie Monocle, Diseased Meat). - Added 2 music tracks (Dont Be A Bitch Remix, The Final End).
Some misc bits and bobs... - Status Screen: You can now move over to the minions/spells to see info about them. - Tweaked the enemy pathfinding AI so there's hopefully less chance of them getting stuck behind obstacles (most notably bosses). - If are offered a boneraise that is undiscovered then it will now show any minions to be sacrificed (just as if it was already discovered). - The Curse of Blindness now also hides the HUD and Status Screen. - Fruity Bush: These can now regrow (but you'll need a Watering Can relic). - Money Bag: Increased the amount of gold coins gifted to 250 (instead of 100) and is immediately given (instead of waiting till death). - Bodily Fluids spell: Chest mimics, champions, wizards, and flag wavers, will no longer transform into slimes. - Barrow Bonebolster spell: It will now say the name of the minion that was bolstered. - Reduced the damage some elite enemies do (eg champions, cyclops). - Fruity Bro healing aura no longer stacks if you're standing in multiple of them. - Slightly increased the rate your health regenerates during boss fights (just so people don't think it seeming to stop was a bug). - Compendium: Added help texts for the Enboned Destineous and Normalous Destineous.
And some bug fixes... - Banishing a lot of the normal minions would cause a crash. - Suffering a high damage hit whilst having a small amount of Occult Health could cause future health issues (eg suffering extra health loss when hit). - A sealed boneraise item would still show up if you had already used a sacrificed minion associated to it (which would allow you to take the item without sacrificing a minion). - Fixed some issues related to idle minion movements (eg endless jiggling on the spot or giant boo remaining in the same position forever). - The Relic Merchant Traveller could sell two Service Bells at the same time. - Architect Mode: The displayed buy cost would be too high if you had already reached that contraption's max amount. - Tangler hearts were hiding below mud layers. - Normalous Destineous boneraise: The description wasn't saying the random raised minion will be at level 3.
Enjoy! :]
Patch v6.2
//misc - Increased the brightness of Beggar Bombs so they are easier to notice. - Chaos Curse: Reduced the amount of bombs and bombs won't now spawn close to other bombs to avoid instant chain explosions.
//bug fixes - Viewing the Skirmishes leaderboard without first playing a Skirmish game would cause a crash. - Rare chance of a "non-existing surface" crash when the boneraise screen pops up. - Re-rolling a Normalous Destineous boneraise wasn't removing all of the Barrows from the minion sacrifice list. - Sealing a Normalous Destineous would then only need 3 Barrow sacrifices instead of 5.
Patch v6.1
//misc - Enemies snared on claw traps will now free themselves after 60 seconds. - Curse of Chaos: The bombs now take a bit longer to explode and spawn with a brighter cloud effect so are easier to notice. - The Declutter Floor setting will now reduce the opacity of Impling traps. - Book Shelf contraption: It now shows the stored spell's name when interacting with it. - Cadaver Coffin contraption: You now interact with it in the same way as the Book Shelf (instead of just running into it).
//bug fixes - The Deamologist Escapade achievement wasn't triggering. - Compendium: The Relic Itemography was showing a phantom 3rd page which could cause a crash if you exited then entered it. - Necrotic Skirmishes: Viewing the local/online leaderboards when playing Fortuity Destiny wasn't bringing up the correct map. - Necrotic Skirmishes: When playing Fortuity Destiny it wasn't saving to the correct local leaderboard. - The Roaming Traveller event intro was using Dash to continue instead of Menu Confirm. - During a Blindness curse the Gaunt Skewerer could still be seen when it was attacking.
Mischievous Monday #6
Good evening Wretch. A rather bits and bobs update this week to catch up with some of the many great suggestions from YOU lot. :]
A new map has been added called the Accursed Cathedral, a place of cursedoms which is a new mechanic that afflicts the level with a strange curse that affects everybody. There's 7 curses currently, from speeding everybody up, to turning all gems into honey, to making your minions invisible. The new map can be played in both main game modes, includes leaderboards and an achievement.
A new minion has been added called the Impling Trapper, who likes crafting booby traps to ensnare meanies, and comes with a deamon variant too. Two other new necromancies have also been added to make some extra use out of those stinky Barrow Boners. The Normalous Destineous fuses 5 boners into a random normal minion, while the Enboned Destineous turns a Behemoth Barrower into a random normal giant.
6 new class related achievements which are just a bit of fun focussed on the quirks for each class. 4 new Architect Contraptions too (Burly Boulder, Book Shelf, Occult Pillar, Cursen Eye), 3 new Spells (Cursen Gaze, Trap Surprise, Occult Rejuvenation), and 2 new music tracks (Chibi Ninja, Highway Slaughter).
Plus some misc stuff... - Added Fortuity Destiny Skirmish map if you fancy just playing a random map. - Added a Ghostly Minions gameplay setting which turns your minions darker and more see-through (to help separate them visually from enemies). - Escape Menu: Added a Restart Run option. - You now need to be closer to Hero Souls to suck them up (so less chance of accidental suckage). - Gangly Grafted class: Added a new meta called Big Bone Banquet where all bones have a chance of being embiggened (the more giant minions you have the higher the chance). - The Juggernaut class meta: The shoulder charge damage is now increased based on your max health. - The Scarecrow Rascal and Peeky Potatocrow will now slow nearby enemies (in the case of Potatocrow this replaces it's ability to reduce the frequency of nature enemies). - The amount of treasure chests on the map is now capped to 9 (further chests simply won't spawn). - Mad Magus minion: Increased it's ball speed and homing rate. - Chunky Vomiter minion: Increased the amount and spread of his vomit. - Bodily Fluids spell: This will no longer turn Big Slimes into regular Slimes and regular Slimes will always be turned into Big Slimes. - Midas Boners spell: Reduced the amount of Barrows that get replaced at higher power levels and made the amount more random. - If you have the Pro HUD setting on the Status Screen will now show your health and spells. - You can now open the Status Screen during a Roaming Travelers event.
And finally some bug fixes... - Banishing a lot of the level 1 normal minions would softlock the game. - Large enemies (eg bosses) were sometimes getting trapped by treasure chests and fences (the chest will now auto-open when colliding with them and fences just caplode). - The King's projectiles weren't destroying themselves if going straight down which could eventually slow the game down. - You could move diagonally off the map in the corners of some maps. - Fixed some issues related to enemy health scaling in NGP/Skirmish (eg some spell effects are based on starting health which the scaling was interfering with). - You wasn't able to raise a Giantan Meldusmous if you had already reached the max giant limit. - The clock would continue for a bit after the King's second phase ended. - The Hex/Deathen status effect icon was too low on Chest Mimics and Jewel Heads.
Enjoy! :]
Patch v5.3
//bug fixes - There was a rare chance the Boneraise menu could cause a crash when popping up. - There was a rare chance a wave of Hat Dude unlocks would appear (instead of just one). - If you had forgotten the Goopily Slimies meta then the normal special stage that it would have overridden wouldn't happen. - If the Service Bell's merchant was triggered during the "a stranger approaches" timer then it would trigger multiple traveller events. - During a Roaming Traveller event you could open/close the Escape Menu which would unpause the game behind the event. - The Wandering Merchant was always selling a Service Bell (it should only have been if you don't already have one).
