The Mayhem Made Mild event, which will be live with today’s hotfixes, will change which modifiers can be rolled in Mayhem Mode! During the event, only “Easy” modifiers will be showing up in Mayhem, regardless of Mayhem level. This event will be live until September 3 at 9:00 AM PDT, when it will switch to the Making It Rain mini-event with next week’s hotfixes!

Ready to say goodbye to sanity, Vault Hunter? Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck, the fourth campaign add-on for Borderlands 3, will send you on a savage and surreal journey into madness starting September 10.
Brilliant scientist Patricia Tannis may have cracked one of the galaxy's greatest mysteries: what makes the Borderlands' psychos so uniformly deranged? She believes the answer lies with Vaulthalla, a mythical place that induces insanity in all who learn its true nature. Of course, your average psycho isn't going to peacefully sit still and share Vaulthalla's secrets, so the closest you can get to a willing participant is Krieg, a fellow Crimson Raider and the most badass psycho there is.
Problem is, Krieg's not the best communicator, what with all his aggressive, barely coherent screaming. Using technology that lesser intellects couldn't possibly comprehend, Tannis is beaming you and your fellow Vault Hunters directly into Krieg's consciousness so you can discover Vaulthalla for yourself. With these hotfixes, the Bonus Boss Loot event ends, and the Loot Monster Mayhem event begins! During this event, players will see Loot Enemies more often. This event will be live until August 20 at 9:00 AM PST, where it will switch to the Show Me the Eridium mini-event with next week’s hotfixes!

With these hotfixes, the ECHOcast Overload mini-event comes to an end and is replaced with the Borderlands 3 Anniversary Celebration Bonus Boss Loot event! During this event, players have an increased chance of Legendary loot dropping from bosses. This event will be live until August 13 at 9:00 AM PST, where it will switch to the Loot Monster Mayhem mini-event with next week’s hotfixes!

During this event, viewers watching their favorite streamers play Borderlands 3 will have a greater chance of winning loot during Rare Chest Events in the ECHOcast Twitch Extension. Make some mayhem during six weeks of mini-events ahead of Borderlands 3's one-year anniversary!
It's been nearly a year since Borderlands 3 made its big debut on September 13, 2019, and we've collectively made all kinds of mayhem in the months since launch. Whether you've been with Borderlands 3 from the beginning or you've just started your journey across the stars aboard Sanctuary III, we want to sincerely thank you, the Borderlands community, for all the support, feedback, streams, videos, fan art, cosplay, and so much more.
To show our heartfelt appreciation, we'll be kicking off the Borderlands 3 Anniversary Celebration on July 30, bringing you a whopping six weeks of mini-events in anticipation and celebration of Borderlands 3's first birthday. If you've been playing since launch day, some of these events may look familiar—but we've also thrown some new events into the mix to keep you on your toes.
A fresh mini-event will be activated via a hotfix every Thursday from July 30 through September 10. We'll remind you of the theme and specifics for each mini-event in that week's hotfix notes, but for now, take a look at what's on the way:
Participating in these free mini-events requires nothing more than a copy of Borderlands 3, though you can also benefit from their effects while playing Bounty of Blood and the other campaign add-ons included in the Season Pass. Borderlands 3 Patch and Hotfixes: July 23, 2020
Today we will release an update for Borderlands 3, which will be live on all platforms by 12:00 PM PST (with the exception of Mac, which is planned to go live on July 30). In this update, we focused on some quality of life update and some player reported concerns.

New Quality of Life Changes
Legendary firing mode for Fabricator
The Fabricator now has an alternate firing mode called Legendary that spawns between 1 to 3 Legendary weapons for 250 Eridium. You will switch into this alternate firing mode like any other weapon and will see purple effects when firing the Fabricator.
Mission Rewards available in Veteran Rewards Vending Machine
Players can now purchase previously rewarded mission rewards in the Veteran Rewards Machine just outside of Crazy Earl’s door on Sanctuary III. As missions are completed, their rewards are added to the pool and can be purchased using Eridium!
Legendary Gear available in Vending Machines
We have rebalanced vending machines based on community feedback. Vending machines of all type have a small chance of providing Legendary gear for purchase. We’ve also removed Uncommon (green) Rarity gear from the Item of the Day pool.
Chests and Badass reward adjustments
The quality of rewards found in chests and dropped from Badass enemies have been subtly buffed. Our goal is to make sure chests feel rewarding and exciting, and players feel properly rewarded for defeating difficult enemies.
Dedicated loot pool adjustments
The dedicated loot pools for bosses have been given a dramatic overhaul in hopes of making for a more reliable and satisfying farming experience. Most bosses have two pieces of gear assigned to them, though there are exceptions. To reach this goal, we enabled respawning on the following bosses and reshuffled gear between bosses more evenly.
Anointment pool adjustments
To further improve the farming experience, we examined the Anointment pool and determined some weren’t engaging the community as we hoped. Given the depth of the pool, we have removed the following 21 Anointments. Any gear that currently has these Anointments will continue to function properly, but gear dropped after this update will no longer roll with these Anointments.
A note on drop rates
A few bosses have had some minor tweaks made to improve their looting experience, but we have left most of the drop rates unchanged. With the thinning of the dedicated loot pools and the removal of 21 Anointments, we decided to observe these changes first then make changes as needed in the future.
Stability
We have adjusted how projectiles from damage events spawn. We found spikes in stability and performance concerns when too many elemental projectiles were spawning during gameplay. This was due to some weapons spawning many more projectiles than game performance recommended. The Recursion, Carrier, Bearcat, Lead Sprinkler, and others will see the effects from this change. We will be monitoring how players will be using these weapons for any possible adjustments in the future.
General
Mayhem Mode
After making changes to the Scorcher’s splat, we wanted to make sure it and other pets still felt fun and capable of competitive amounts of damage in Mayhem, so we buffed pet damage accordingly.
We identified a behavior in our damage pipeline that created opportunities for certain gear and skill combinations to do excessive amounts of damage. We determined these combinations were not aligned with the rest of the game and made a solution that better fits our intended balance goals.
