Patch 0.1.19

Wipe



Due to significant changes to our progression systems we are going to perform a complete wipe. This will include matches played, Medals, decks, Conquests, cosmetics, and all card progress & ownership. In order to give fair value for the matches you have played so far in the beta we are awarding the following:
  • 25 Valor per seal
  • 75 valor per conquest win


There will be some down time while we perform this wipe.

Progression Changes



Card Piece distribution is now in larger sums and will feel more impactful.

Valor is now a possible prize tile on the Big Brawls Board and has a significant chance to be won.

Valor can be used to complete a card with already contained Pieces at the corresponding Valor Value (Card Piece % remaining multiplied total Valor cost of card).

Overall card progression should feel less grindy and more fulfilling. It will also take significantly less time to obtain your collection.

Progression Changes


  • Board values have been increased
  • Bronze boards are now gained automatically every 6 Seals, with no cooldown.
  • Cards are now easier to unlock via both Boards and Valor
  • Spinning a Big Brawls Board is now faster
  • Card pieces are now better explained
  • It is now more obvious when you have spins available


It is very important for us to get good data from these new progression changes. Therefore, the previous 201,337 valor that was given to help us test the balance of the game & certain card mechanics has been removed. You will now have to play to get those cards you want :) *note: Gem purchasing is still disabled. This can drastically increase the speed of card collection. We will enable Gem purchasing for cosmetics and the Big Brawls Board once we have sufficient data on the new progression systems.

New Camera Modes



Because we use a sophisticated 3D engine that renders beautiful graphics we wanted to give everyone the opportunity to take advantage of that. You can now play in locked horizontal view (our current and default mode), vertical mode (more similar to other games in the genre where you play up and down) and a free camera mode which allows you to adjust the camera however you would like (inc. zooming in and out).
  • Press N to snap to the Horizontal camera
  • Press M to snap to the Vertical camera
  • Hold Ctrl and hold the middle mouse button to freely rotate around the battlefield


General Changes


  • Spawn/death effects updated on many units
  • Overhead effects for spawn buildings (Assassin Temple, Imp Spire, etc) should now be invisible for the enemy player


New Cards



Hellfire Tower
  • 10 mana cost
  • 2 second deploy time
  • This medium ranged tower fires a focused beam that damages enemies for an increasing percentage of their max health, killing any target in 10 seconds flat.
  • Targets all enemies

Magical Door (Spawn Building)
  • 7 mana cost
  • 1 second deploy time
  • Mode 1: Spawns 1 Brawler Guard every 5 seconds..
  • Mode 2: Spawns 1 Brawler every 1 second.

Mana Generator (Building)
  • 14 mana cost
  • 1 second deploy time
  • Grants the owning player 1 mana every 5 seconds, up to 18 mana total over 90 seconds.

Petrify Totem
  • 8 mana cost
  • 2 second deploy time
  • Enemies who enter within 4 tiles of this totem are turned to stone, becoming invulnerable and untargetable until the totem expires. Lasts up to 10 seconds.
  • Targets all enemies

Poison Totem
  • 7 mana cost
  • 1 second deploy time
  • Deals 75 damage per second to all enemies within a 3.5 tile radius for up to 10 seconds.
  • Targets all enemies

Polymorph Totem
  • 9 mana cost
  • 2 second deploy time
  • Every 3 seconds, enemies within 3.5 tiles of this totem are hexed into frogs for 2 seconds, slowing their movement and preventing them from performing any actions. Lasts up to 10 seconds.
  • Targets enemy Ground and Air units

Zaku
  • 10 mana cost
  • 2 second deploy time
  • This crazed shaman is a medium health summoner that spawns two abominations every 7.5 seconds, and deals splash damage in a 1.3 tile radius with each attack.
  • Targets all enemies


Balance Changes



Arcane Larceny
  • Will now summon a happy little imp if the enemy has no unit cards in their deck.

Blazer
  • Blazer has been reworked to be able to charge her attack while moving. She will not fire unless she is fully charged and there is a valid target in range.
  • Damage increased from 400 to 800.
  • Attack interval increased from 2 seconds to 5 seconds.

Brawler Guards
  • Attack cooldown from 1.2s to 1s (Will attack slightly faster)

Carter
  • Attack timing and cooldown decreased (Will attack slightly faster)
  • Earthquake Totem
  • Radius from 3 to 3.5 tiles

Iah
  • No longer reduces the mana cost of Totems, only Spells

Lady Tinder
  • Deploy time reduced from 2 seconds to 1 second.

  • Number of missiles launched reduced from 12 to 9. (Note: The tooltip previously stated 15 missiles, but due to a bug it was only launching 12)
  • Damage per missile reduced from 100 to 90.
  • Missile range reduced from 5 tiles to 4.5 tiles.

Widowmakers
  • Mana cost reduced from 4 to 3.

  • We have made several adjustments to Treasure Goblin to reduce its overall effectiveness in all situations while maintaining its unique role as a high-risk, high-reward counter to powerful cards.
  • Deploy Effect: Stuns all enemy units in a 4 Tile PBAoE radius for 2 seconds with its shiny Treasure Chest.
  • Death Effect: Transmutes the nearest enemy unit into a golden statue, instantly killing it.


Vex:
  • Special Ability: Upon landing, Vex channels his jetpack for 2 seconds, firing a barrage of up to 15 heat-seeking missiles.
  • Missiles deal 100 Dmg each and target the nearest enemies in a 5 Tile PBAoE radius.


Witch Hunters:
  • Special Attack tweaked to deal its full damage over a longer duration.
  • Focus Fire: Channeling attack that deals % max HP Dmg to enemy targets.
  • Dmg % increases with the channeling duration, killing any target after 10 seconds.


Wizard:
  • No longer grants +2 Mana every time he summons Brawlers.
  • Attacks now deal Splash damage in a 1.25 Tile AoE radius.
  • Health increased from 750 to 850.


Bug Fixes


  • Fixed some issues related to receiving multiple challenges.
  • Fixed issue where your opponents medals would sometimes not appear.
