This update changes a couple of different things, however the most interesting change should be that materials applied to bricks in the editor not only affect the look anymore but also the physical properties. Carbon is slightly lighter and more fragily than the default material, normal metals are noticeably heavier, gold is very heavy and tungsten is the heaviest and strongest material right now. Looking forward to see what you guys are going to make out of this!

- Vehicles can now be recovered anywhere on the map by clicking on a free space on the map

UI Update
Hello!
In this update almost the entire menu UI was replaced for a newer, nicer looking and easier to use interface. Bugs in the settings menu were removed and multiplayer replication was improved.

This update adds some long awaited features to the save/open menu. Additional info about vehicles are now displayed in the tooltip, workshop vehicles have thumbnails and files can be deleted from within the game. Furthermore the brick limit of 500 was completely removed, players can now build and spawn vehicles larger than that at their own risk.

This update features a bunch of fixes as well as a small new fun feature (it is not listed here, but you will notice it). The update also includes the aviation update which is now finally available for everybody.

This update includes a lot of new bricks, features and bug fixes!
Some of the changes:
- Added wings, propellers and thrusters
- New machine gun
- Large gun now shoots explosive rounds
- New explosion particle and sound effects
- Fixed an occasional crash with colliding bricks
- New brick materials (colors) and proper material vizualization in the editor
Note: Since this update features a lot of changes (including an update to the new Unreal Engine version) new bugs are to be expected and thus it is only available in the Beta branch for now.

Today I fixed some things that I know many of you have been waiting for!
These include:
- Fixed handbrake and lights on trailers sometimes not working
- Fixed camera clipping with actuators
- Fixed vehicle spawn location
- Fixed bug where the editor bounds could be exceeded
- Fixed player location when exiting a vehicle
- Reenabled player-vehicle collisions
- Fixed a crash related to transparent bricks on fire
- Added option in the in game menu to remove the current vehicle
- Fixed an asset that belongs to the explosion effect, which is supect to have caused the majority of crashes
Try out multiplayer!
Hello everybody!
I want to encourage you to try out the multiplayer mode in the beta version of Brick Rigs. If you can find a server, join it, if not create one and have other people join into your playing session. Please report any bugs or crashes you encounter with as much detail as possible, so they can be fixed as soon as possible!
Known issues right now are:
- On client side the character might float next to the seat
- When entering a workshop vehicle which the player is not subscribed to (i.e. it is an empty vehicle) the character camera can glitch out
- After entering a vehicle some of the controls can be disabled, to fix simply repair or recover the vehicle once
Multiplayer Beta
The time has come, Brick Rigs now supports multiplayer! To try it out, enable the Beta branch in the game properties (right click on Brick Rigs in Steam).
Note: Multiplayer is still very experimental and untested, please report any bugs or glitches you may experience.
Race Update
Hey!
The variety of vehicles that have already been uploaded to the Workshop gave me an idea of what people would like to experience in the game. Besides the heavy machinery there has also been a great interest in fast vehicles. So in this update there is a new map and bricks to pleasure the fans of high speed!
List of changes:
- Added new "Racetrack" map
- Added dragster V8 engine and compressor
- Added dragster wheels
- Removed firing features from character
- Fixed linear actuator connectors
- All engines can explode now with a strong enough impact
- Modified engine physics to work with extremely high torque engines
