An update with a new bus and scenario has been published!
In "Blocked railway crossing" scenario you'll have to drive from Yanov to Kopachi, finding your way around the obstructed rails while driving on dirt roads.
The action takes place on a new bus called OSB Mir, which is primarily used in suburban trips.
Moreover, we made the following changes to the game: - Grass and bushes now deform under the bus instead of rendering through its body. - Fixed the ambulance car in "Marathon" scenario. - Added marker lights to HB-235. - Improved appearance of lights of all buses. - Changed liveries for the cars in "Speed" scenario. - Many other minor fixes.

A new scenario is coming soon!
The upcoming update will feature not only the new Soviet bus, but also a new scenario called "Obstructed railway crossing".
A tree falls right on the tracks, forcing the train to stop and obstruct the crossing.
You'll have to change the route from Yanov to Kopachi. Luckily, there is a dirt road neaby, and it also leads to Kopachi.

New Soviet bus is coming soon!
The new Soviet bus (on the screenshot) is now being tested. It will be available in both Free Mode and one of the scenarios. If everything goes well, we'll release it in a couple of days.
Let's look at what we'd like to add into the game in the next year. This list is still subject to changes (the better are the sales, the more features we'll be able to implement).
- Add one more Soviet bus - Expand Chornobyl map, add new forest roads and swamps - New scenarios, including ones on the new territories of Chornobyl map - TrackIR support - Physically correct dirt with player's bus leaving the tracks - Rainy weather and water drops on the windshield - Something very big and interesting (we're already working on this!). We'll tell more about it soon :)

Update 1.2.5 - Workshop support and new terrain system!
Steam Workshop is now supported in Bus World! You already can change liveries to your own or ones that were uploaded by other player.
Here's a full list of changes: - Noticeably increased performance of loading territory: it should solve most of the freezes on Chornobyl map. - Driver now has radiation protection in some scenarios. - You can now disable subtitles in Settings. - Fixed a bug that can cause passengers to block each others' way on crosswalks. - Fixed a bug that rendered one of the mirrors non-functional in some cases. - Fixed a memory leak that could lead to a crash if the game has been working for many hours non-stop. - Adjusted translations to some languages. - Many other minor fixes.
We're already testing the new Soviet bus in the game. You'll be able to drive it soon!

Now we're testing an important update featuring dynamic loading of game map - it will fix most of the freezes in Chornobyl. We'll release it soon.
Also, we plan to release Steam Workshop for the game, allowing you to make your own liveries for buses and release them to the public. In the next year, you can wait for new scenarios, map expansion and new game mechanics.

What we're working on now and what to wait
Let's tell you about what we're doing now and what to wait for in the upcoming updates.
We made a model of a new Soviet bus to be added to the game in one of the updates. It will be added to both Free Mode and one of the scenarios. One more is in queue. If everything goes well, we'll release it closer to the end of 2022 or in January 2023. Not as a DLC, but as a free content in one of the updates.
One of our programmers has been working on optimizing terrain loading for more than a week. If the new loading system will work without problems, Chornobyl will finally be free of these notorious loads in the middle of gameplay. Or, at least, these loads will be almost unnoticeable.
Along with everything above, we're still fixing bugs.
After that, we'll start creating more scenarios and expanding Chornobyl map. Also, we'd like to add a swampy territory near the forest. One of the scenarios will take place there.
Finally, in the next month we'd like to implement user-made liveries for buses.

The update is available, featuring fixes for steering wheels and controllers!
We just published another patch for the game. It affects controls, when several controllers are connected at once.
Before, buttons of controllers were read from each controller separately, unlike axles. Because of that, axles’ values could be recognized incorrectly. Now the game can distinguish the axles of the first 4 connected controllers.
But Unity Engine, which the game is built on, can’t guarantee that the controllers will be detected in the exact same order as the previous time. Each new connected controller will be detected as a new one. Probably, we’ll solve this problem a bit later.
You can read more about setting up controllers here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2883063682
By the way, Bus World is now 15% off on Steam. If you still haven’t bought the game, it’s now the perfect time!
