About CRT #14 | Security


Casino Resort Tower (CRT) will be available for early access tomorrow! I can hardly believe it's finally happening.

CRT is a detailed simulation, with a wide range of mechanics to explore. Unfortunately, I couldn't cover all of these mechanics that will be available with the EA release in my previous 'About CRT' posts during the playtesting and heavy development phase. Moreover, those older posts have become somewhat irrelevant now, as we have added a lot more content and made significant improvements.

To address this, I have come up with a plan (Yeay). I will go back and rewrite the old posts to bring them up-to-date, ensuring they reflect the current state of the game. Additionally, I will be posting about the remaining topics in between updates and patches, leading up to the first major content update after the early access release.

Anyways, let's talk about today's topics: security, crime, customer detention, CCTV systems, and officer deployments.


ROOM SECURITY


Each room within the casino hotel possesses a security value, which can be influenced by various factors. The presence of certain items may decrease the room's security value, thereby increasing the likelihood of crimes occurring. To enhance the security value of a room, CCTV cameras can be installed or security officers can be deployed in public areas. In private spaces like hotel rooms, security can be bolstered by installing burglar alarms and safe boxes. These measures contribute to maintaining a higher level of security, ensuring the safety and well-being of both customers and hotel staff.



CRIME


In the diverse environment of the casino hotel, various types of crimes can occur in different types of rooms. For instance, rooms with reception and shop counters are vulnerable to crimes like credit card fraud. On the other hand, casinos are susceptible to crimes such as card switching and dice sliding. Each crime committed within the premises results in a deduction of a rating point from the casino hotel. However, the rating point can be recovered by effectively detaining suspects involved in criminal activities. To minimize the likelihood of crimes occurring, it is crucial to enhance the security values of the respective rooms.



SECURITY OFFICER DEPLOYMENT


Once you've hired security officers, you can enhance security in public rooms by deploying them. The presence of a patrolling security officer significantly boosts room security. To make a room deployable, access the security menu by clicking on the security button located at the bottom right of the screen. Then, select the security officer deployment button and choose the desired room on the map to make it deployable. Security officers will automatically occupy the selected rooms unless they are engaged in detaining unruly customers.

CCTV SYSTEMS


CCTV cameras provide a convenient solution for boosting room security without the requirement of deploying security officers. Once a CCTV camera is installed in a room, it must be connected to a CCTV monitoring table for functionality. These monitoring tables can only be placed in security offices, and each table can accommodate up to four CCTV cameras. To initiate the process of connecting CCTV cameras with CCTV monitoring tables, access the security menu by clicking on the security button located at the bottom right of the screen. Then, simply select the CCTV wiring button.



CUSTOMER DETENTION


When a customer engages in criminal behavior, it results in a deduction of a rating point. However, this lost rating point can be recovered by detaining the suspect. The detention process can commence following the occurrence of the illegal activity, provided there is a security officer available during the current shift and an available detention room. The security officer escorts the suspect to the designated detention room, places them in a holding cell, initiates the processing procedure, and contacts the police. A police officer is then dispatched to collect and transport the suspect.

Hello hello! It's been a while since the last About CRT blog post. Today's post is about the casinos.

You know all of the bars, saunas, events, and so on are all good fun but every casino hotel makes a big buck from their casinos. So it's good to have a nice casino hotel with a variety of games for your guests. Because every customer has a favorite casino game, and your casino hotel star rating is affected positively if they can find it.



Casino Cashier


Some casino guests come to the casinos to watch the games and have some drinks. But if they want to gamble, they go to the casino cashiers to exchange some chips first. Don't forget to check if there are enough casino cashiers so they don't leave after waiting for too long.



Dice Games


Place dice games tables and assign a variety of dice games if you want please gamblers who want to roll the dice and take some chances.

Fortune Wheel Games


The only thing better than a game of chance is a game where there is a giant spinning wheel. So consider placing some fortune wheel desks too.

Roulette Games


Place roulette tables so you can make money while your customers watch in horror as the roulette ball lands on the one number they didn't bet on.



Slots Games


Your guests can lose all of their money in seconds and still walk away feeling like a winner because the lights and sounds were really cool if you place slot machines and assign different kinds of slot games to them.

Card Games


Some gamblers want to show their patience, strategy, and ability. Place card games tables and assign card games such as blackjack, baccarat, and texas holdem poker to them.

Bingo Games


If you want some customers that are yelling "BINGO!" here and there, you can place bingo desks and assign different bingo games to them.



Keno Games


Make playing the lottery fun for your guest by placing keno machines and assigning games such as caveman keno, superball keno, and klub keno to them.

Video Poker Games


Sometimes gamblers want to feel like a high-roller without having to sit at a table with other people. Don't forget to place some video poker machines around too.


So yeah, managing a casino hotel may be a high-stakes game, but with the right strategy and attention to detail, you'll be able to create a thriving empire that keeps your guests coming back for more.
