Hey everyone! Sorry for the late, late night update. This update saw lots of needed changes under the hood so more time testing was needed. But lets get to the good stuff.
Fillings First off, Fillings! Fillings are found in dig holes and from a specific enemy. There's a new enemy by the way! Anyways, fillings are used by a certain npc. He likes the shiny. They have another use but you'll inevitably find that.
Shop keepers room The shop keepers room is bit more interesting. At least it can be. It'll require some upgrading on your part :)

Cavity Busters Update #13 - Harvest Tuum
Hello everyone! I got a fun little addition this week that took up most of my time. So onto that!
The Harvest Tuum The Tuum will be unlocked through normal gameplay and adds a new area to the Hub. You'll be able to plant cells here. Cells will grow into Tumors. Tumors can be harvested, rewarding some starting items. However Tumors aren't good for the body.
What's new
added a few bits of lore to a couple bosses
added a press and hold requirement to restart and exit run buttons so accidental restarts are avoided
changed 'exit to menu' buttons to 'return to hub'
Fixes and tweaks
nerfed the minor upgrade duplicator
resurrecting brings you to half health instead of full now
nerfed Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease
tidy up the combo ui a little
fixed some bugs causing unfair damage from skin tags

Cavity Busters Update# 12
Hello everyone! How's it going? Here's another smallish update. The biggest feature of this the Lab Experiment. This adds another layer of choice. It has a fun little interaction with Minor upgrades that I'll let you find out for yourself. :)
What's New:

Fixes and Tweaks:
nerfed obesiteeth
buffed flak ammo a bit more
eye snake bosses body no longer causes damage while rolling. his eye will still damage you though
can no longer set health to zero or below with accessibility options causing player to die instantly
rotten tooth will no longer spawn bullets upon hitting a wall or breaking environment that the player is very close to

Cavity Busters Update #11
Hello all! Happy weekend! Hope you're all doing good. I'm here with your weekly update with some new upgrades and some quality of life fixes. I'm working on some new stuff that will be showing up in the coming weeks. So working on that and trying to add weekly stuff is a balancing act.
What's New:
4 new upgrades:
-Calcification -Obesiteeth -Electric Tooth -Cup of Coffee
1 new synergy
Another option for shot gums smoothness
Added the ability to scroll through the upgrades you've obtained when they start to go off screen
Added more info to death screen such as level you died on and number of loops achieved and how many stackables obtained in upgrade list
Picking up heart pieces will show how many you have
Added a button to randomize character select
The new shot gums option allows you to change shot gum use to just one button.
Tweaks and fixes:
fixed music overlapping when you loop
fixed text for laser gun upgrade
increased the range for dirty necklace
added outlines to frozen effect when visibility lines are turned on
fixed a collision bug that would freeze the game

Cavity Busters Update #10: Polishing a dead old tooth
Hiya everyone! This update leans more on the polish side of things. There's some upgrades as well!
What's New:
3 new upgrades
holding the shotgum button as Baby Tooth will increase fire rate for a goop cost
teleport map now shows your current location
default button added to accessibility menu
mini boss have a health bar
Fixes and tweaks:
fixed player getting healed while dying and canceling death screen
fixed a bug that caused items in a room to disappear when leaving room
bowel movement won't happen in boss rooms, treasure rooms or disease curing rooms. They can still happen in dig rooms however.
bowel movement antibody spawn rate were nerfed
falling bullet mod was changed to chomp attacks. essentially the same thing just visually different
tiny delay to when you can recall your charged tooth. tiny tiny.
flak ammo was nerfed
monumeats increase difficulty between 1 and 2 points
fixed taking a continue not taking effect while in a modded room
fixed some bugs with the teleport map
wall dashing with a controller is a bit different
Wall dashing with a controller is a bit different Wall dashing with a controller used to be all or nothing. With mouse and kb you could pick where your wall dash ended within the wall dash range. That's lost while using a controller. But now you can be more precise with wall dashing while using a controller. It's not perfect but it's a start in the right direction to smoothing out controller use. Also note it works best when the controller is not in auto aim mode.
The new combo system: Combos now decay at a much slower rate. A portion of your combo will be taken away when hurt. Combo meter now increases when the meter is filled rather then for just killing enemies. More work still needs to be on this. But it feels much better already. :)

This adjusts the stats for Baby Tooth. He'll start with higher damage, higher range, higher fire rate and a lower heal requirement. Also upgrades that would normally effect your regular tooth now effect your shots gum bullets but only when playing as Baby.

Cavity Busters Update #9: New Twin Stick Gummy
Hey all! Welcome to another weekly update! This one is pretty sweet and I'm very excited to see what you all think of it.
The New Gummy This Gummy is for everyone who enjoyed most of the mechanics of Cavity Busters but found combat to be a bit tedious. This Gummy is a more traditional twin stick shooter type character. You aim where you want to shoot, hold the shoot button, and voila! Shoot bullets and cause damage! This character is called Baby Tooth and is in no way a dig at the people this was intended for. The name fit thematically as you shoot small low damage baby teeth. Don't be fooled though. This character is still a challenge as all diseases that effect tooth shots will still be present and sometimes more devastating.

Bugs and tweaks: fixed some controller bugs combo meter will not decrease while bosses are dying or changing phases now

Hey all! This update is a bit smaller compared to last weeks but we have two new enemies to crush you this time!
What's New:
2 new enemies
4 new minor stat up items. These can drop from treasure meat lumps.
26 new rooms
Bug fixes and tweaks:
Incisor gummy now has different tooth projectile art
mini gums are slightly better
aim line now shows accuracy
reload tooth animation is now less intrusive
cleaned up the death screen a bit

Cavity Busters Update 7: New playable character
Howdy all! Another big update for this week. First and foremost we have a new playable Gummy!
This Gummy has lower health but starts with two teeth and is a bit faster. Instead of a boomerang charge shot, shooting a charged shot shoots two slow teeth. When the shoot button is pressed these teeth will home in on the nearest enemy. However if you were to collect the charged teeth before they hit an enemy or a wall, they'll fire off a powerful attack! The Gummy is unlocked the first time you beat the game. If you've beaten the game it'll unlock once start of the new update :) You'll be able to select it through the hub room computer.
What's new:
A new playable character

Fixes and tweaks:
saving requires you to be in range of Gob
can now only gain one boss tooth at the start of the round
fixed a bug where Factory Lobe II boss would run in place
fixed a bug where upon loading a saved game player would have two bullet types
fixed a bug in tutorial that duplicates players
fixed a bug in tutorial that cause boomerang shot to fail
fixed a bug that would disable shooting when picking up an upgrade that gave extra teeth
now only pressing the jump button spends your jump instead of touching stunned enemies
fixed a bug where enemies would regain health upon being frozen
hyperthyroidism now takes away a percentage of enemy health
poison ammo now deals a small amount of base damage
run total should be more accurate now
can no longer save while digging
fixed potential memory leak
room modifiers will now be displayed in the starting room
tooth will now properly hit enemies instead of passing through them at high speeds

Cavity Busters Update # 6
Dental surgery is tough. And sometimes you need to take a break, change your shorts, and brush your teeth. This update brings a save and quit feature to the game!
Due to the complexity to how levels are generated, saving and quitting can only be done after a boss for the current level is defeated. You'll be able to save by interacting with the Gob. (mouth that takes you to the next level)
On top of that we have some new upgrades and other fixes and balances!
What's new:
save and quit a run
4 new upgrades
Fixes and tweaks:
diarrhea won't disappear when the game is paused (diarrhea doesn't just disappear in real life duh)
digging on walls that have already been dug through will no longer increase your combo
fixed a crowned tooth exploit
nerfed Loogie
hypothermia spews fewer bullets. it's still a frozen bullet hell ;)
holding tab shows current floor
you no longer take damage while waiting to be taken to the next level
cleaned up some visual clutter during combat
reflektor synergy no longer disables tooth shot
while looping, dig X's can spawn minor stat up items. The probability increases as loops increase.
while looping, enemies hp increments at a lower rate
