BETA Update 1.61.2 Changelog:
Bug Fixes:
FIXED a bug where the quest giver for "Shady Shipment" returns to his default state after the quest is completed so you could do it again indefinitely
Changes & Additions:
Thugs and Red Saints no longer throw Pipe Bombs (It was a little odd in my opinion for random thugs to have stuff like that - they still do have access to molotovs)
A few other super quick tweaks and adjustments

11/25/24 - Chaos Chain MAJOR Update 1.61.0 (Contract System & Lore Update)

So, this update took a little bit longer than I had hoped but it was because I had some issues that I needed to iron out related to the new and long awaited contracts system and also I wanted to expand some of the game world lore a little bit better and add more details to certain aspects that were already in place.
Prophet, your contract broker
For the contracts system, I only have two contracts available in the game right now, one being fairly large and one being fairly small, but it was just to get everything going and now I can easily add new ones in as I get ideas. As a matter of fact, I already have ideas for at least two more but I just ran out of time and wanted to get this update out so people could enjoy it over the long weekend ahead.
Overall, this update should feel pretty significant and fresh and I have tested everything quite a bit so I think it should be all good to go, but if you have any issues, just let me know and I will fix them up ASAP. I can only fix problems that I know about, so please tell me if you run into any.

FIXED one instance where while doing the Helping Hands side quest, it still says you need 1000 points worth of medical supplies donated instead of the updated 850 points
FIXED a few typos
FIXED a few dialogues with variables in them that had extra spaces
FIXED some item icon art having clipping issues
FIXED a text spacing issue inside the datalog that showed quest reward values far apart from their parent type

Added 2 new Steam Achievements
Unlocked the contracts system (There are only two contracts right now but I have some more planned)
Added new unlockable title "Contractor"
Added new side quest "Payment Plan" (Has multiple outcomes and a few ways to complete it - this one was kind of complex so please let me know if there are any issues)

Added new lootable randomized container spawns
Ammo drops in regular containers are now 3 times as likely as they were previously (Thus, making loot containers have loot more often than before)
Pest Shot (Bird Shot) shotgun ammo shell color is now blue
Flechette Dart (FD) shotgun ammo shell color is now black
Slug Shot (Slugs) shotgun ammo shell color is now green
Slug Shot (Slugs) shotgun ammo now labeled as LS (Lead Slug) instead of SS (Slug Shot)
Added some more NPCs to various areas
Added new unique NPCs to interact with
Added new unique NPC graphics
Added new enemy troop compositions
Added some failsafe type clauses to several code brackets to prevent issues and/or softlocks moving forward
Added four more lore based dialogues to the "Net" option on the personal terminal in the player apartment area (World building)
Updated some terminology in some dialogues and lore sections (World building)
Updared world map image
"Map" option changed to "Sprawl Map"
Minor balance adjustments
Greatly improved the detail on some special effect graphics
Added new graphics for new usable environmental objects
Lowered the pitch on several soundtracks to make them sound less "Happy/Good/Upbeat"
Updated some exterior areas
Updated some help texts/hints to be more specific
Added new plot-related inventory items
Added new item icon art
Added four new randomzied data lore variants (World building)
Added and expanded some dialogues with unique NPCs (World building)
Updated several exterior areas with more details and made some of them look more unique

Bug Fixes:
Removed loops from vending machine choice dialogues as they were causing numerous issues with the conditional choice system
Changes & Additions:
Added "Gutterpunk" standard title available to everyone
Added prices in the menu description for each item available at the two types of vending machines (Food and drink)
Disabled choices in dialogues are now colored red and unavailable to select but are still visible (Like in the early days of early access --- this change is not necessarily what I originally envisioned in the game, but it will be a bit more straight forward, solve a lot of issues I'm having with the choices being hidden and logic behind it, and it'll be a bit more obvious in terms of just how many options are truly present in different scenarios)
Some balancing on some cyberware components (Some were very OP for their price and others were fairly weak)

FIXED certain branch cancel elements from not working in choice option menus (Please let me know if you encounter any issues with this - this has been a problem in the past and I keep improving upon this system, but it seems like it may still has rare cases of weirdness happening even after all these changes and fixes so keep me posted please and thank you!)

Base feature points in character creation are now set to 5 instead of 3 but you only get 10 points to spend instead of 18 (Min/Maxing is still possible but it should be a little more balanced now and the idea is to have characters be a little more "rounded")

Added some new icon art images
Sped up text line display time by ommitting more special characters from the delay logic
Added some new randomized dialogues for various generic NPC types
