  • Fixed TRex AI to allow pick up and carry/eat of human NPCs

Unfortunately with with patch you'll lose your game save. We try our best not to do this with a patch but in this case we had to, sorry about that. Be sure to turn off auto-update in Steam if you don't want to start things over.

Also, thanks for the feedback, videos and logs. They helped us track down several items on this list.

v0.06 Released!



Hey Everyone,

v0.06 has arrived! Here is the update list for this release.

- Next iteration of objective system with new placeholder missions/features
- New Gear: Breathing Mask, Solar Charger(Craftable)
- New Items: Circuit Board, Solar Cell, and Time Distortion Mix(Craftable)
- Friendly NPCs that can be traded with.
- Improvements to PDA Device(displays minimap now and can be used with
bioscanner as a radar, still WIP)
- Improvements to ladders
- Various UI Improvments
- Various AI Improvements & Fixes(including TRex looking into pods)
- New dream world transition portal with different teleportation options
- Headbob & Motion Blur settings added in Graphical Options
- New Notifications(Tips, Missions)
- Droid Rifle Single Shot Firemode, x key
- Droids head can be destroyed, if not they are now in corpse inventory
- ~30+ bug fixes(some of which include increased rock visibility distance, game options now save properly, etc)

As a reminder your old save game states will not work with this release so start fresh with a new game.

v0.05 Release! (Updated)


***A patch for rain issues has been applied. Please update.***

Hey everyone, v0.05 is here!

This release includes:

Xenoceratops



First iteration of the Weather System(rain, puddling, lightning, thunder)



Known bugs: Right click zooming can be can blurry for some or result in a black screen. Rain will go through escape pods/crashsites. Because of these issues we provided a way for the rain to be disable.

Simply add:

weatherEffectsEnabled = 0

to Steam/steamapps/common/CollisionCourse/system.cfg

- Improved multiple days(Morning Rain, Overcast, Evening Rain, etc)
- Many bug fixes including(two potential crashes, a stuttering issue, footstep sound improvements, rending issue causing slight flickering and other performance tweaks)

The easiest way to check out the different days is to sleep. When sleeping it will now take you to a new day. To sleep you'll need to build a shelter with thermal shielding. The easiest place to find it is probably at the base of a dead tree hanging out over the pod near the lower crashsite but there are other places of course.

As always you'll need to start a new game. Let us know how you like the update or if you find any new issues. Also, thanks everyone for taking the poll. Your feedback is directly shaping future releases!

v0.05 Preview

Hey everyone, thanks for all the feedback in the poll. v0.05 is coming very soon. The two big features for this release are:

Xenoceratops



Weather System with thunder storms, puddles that slowly dissipate as well as improved multiple day cycles.



Future Development

At this point in development, we’re expecting a slowdown in the updates and/or content being added to the updates. This is due to some lower than expected sales of the game, which is understandable due to the nature of the indie game industry. We’re trying to create this game the right way, as gamers and supporters would expect. We aren’t selling out or abandoning a full price game with our pockets bulging, or making any grand promises that aren’t achievable. We're doing what we can with what we have, to the full extent. We were expecting to increase development as time went on but unfortunately it now seems we’ll have to slow things down a bit.

That said, we are a very small team and mostly working part time on this, hoping to succeed and create something really special. The support from everyone has been fantastic, we just need more numbers to keep this going at a faster rate. If you want to help support the game, first and foremost would be to spread the word. If you're sitting on the fence about buying the game, please consider buying it now and understand we’re working hard to continue development.

Some of you have asked how you can further support development monetarily. Some ways to do this could be to buy copies for friends as gifts or by adding a tip when purchasing from our website.

We’ll soon have what we think is a game worth its current price, and in the future even more so. But we can’t meet the full potential of the game without more support. As for the next update, Xenoceratops is still on track for v0.05 as well as many other new features including weather effects.

v0.04 Patch Released!


Steam summer sale is coming up! If you've been waiting for a time to buy, that would be a great time. We cant do it without your support. We'll have a status update and news to come.

Here's the release notes for this patch. We've added a bit more changes than a typical patch so let us know how you like the new additions.

- added new craftable electric grenade weapon
- added new 24 hour lighting cycle with improved HDR and night time
- added new notification system for picking up items, disease, and crafting
- added new item spawning system, spawning will be more consistent now throughout the map
- added new particle spawning system including fireflies at night
- fix for water on screen effect and other numerous bug fixes, tweaks and small additions

v0.04 Released!



Thanks everyone for their feedback/screenshots, they've helped tremendously. Unfortunately the Xenoceratops could not make it in this release. We had to make a tough decision to push it back to v0.05, sorry about that. Here's a list of the main things added in v0.04:

- 3 illness types(Listeria, Sepsis, and Dysentery) with various onscreen and vital effects, craftable cures and flower items
- new interactable escape pods
- drag and drop item reordering
- hot key use/grab 1-4 keys (up,right,down,left of d-pad for xbox controllers)
- spears are now managed as normal weapons in inventory
- weapons have dedicated ammo bars
- improved TRex AI attack behavior and other general AI enhancements
- improve dinosaur textures
- new fire and shelter crafting tutorial missions
- new sounds for a variety of things
- new terrain textures
- 50+ bug fixes and tweaks

Remember to start a new game, your previously saves will not work with this update. As always, let us know how you like the new update and things we can fix/improve upon.
