Thanks to reports and some other personal observations from the past I have fixed more bugs although I wish wouldn't have to. I also did minor gfx update as well as some optimizations.
Bug fixes & updates:
Cathedral Map - spider didn't drag golden skull behind it which made it quite hard to get it without dying.
Forgotten Crypts Map - one of the secrets couldn't be opened
Game Slowdown over time - if you played one level for too long you could experience terrible slowdown over time. This was especially visible in Cathedral Map.
Optimization of various stuff
Some texts were corrected
On rare occasion crash could occur with the latest content update
New candle gfx
New fire fx - all the fire objects (torch, candle, checkpoint etc.) got a slight glow over them adding more "fiery" feel.
I have few more things to fix before I start working on the MAC build and the new map.
Once again, I'm really sorry for all the inconveniences but as I "hurry" to the game release I may be a bit sloppy and skip something that can ruin your fun. Of course, thanks to you I'm finding these mistakes early and fix them over time. I will make sure all the bugs are gone sooner or later.
Minor patch #12
There was one especially silly bug implemented with the latest content updated which I had to fix immediately. Together with it I did few other stuff along the way. Another patch will be released soon after this one but first I need to analyze existing bugs.
Bug fixes & updates:
Always starting at the start of the map selection, no matter where you end / quit the game.
Spider Queen sounds were played even after her death.
After killing a spider Queen some enemies could survive and kill you while in the dialog mode. All of them will be killed now as soon as the queen starts dying.
Falling eggs at the Queen's Lair had wrong texture
Queen's Lair had one checkpoint not working properly
Myth the Spiders map got slight updates (new lights added to show part of the way that many people miss easily)

Content Update #8 - Forgotten Crypts
New content update is here! Although only 1 new map is added there are many polishing updates as well as bug fixes which makes this update quite big and important.
New & Updates
New map - first map in the new "Forgotten Crypts" episode. Get a glimpse of what awaits you and you better get used to it.
Spider eggs will open more slowly now and in 2 steps.
New spider egg graphics and effects
New mummy graphics, effects and behavior
New spider effects on death
Spiders will be slightly thrown back on hit
New Curator's portrait (WIP)
Some of the sounds were changed and some added
Checkpoints #1 - you won't respawn with full health at the checkpoint anymore
Checkpoints #2 - more checkpoints were placed in the first few maps, especially on the places that really needed it (eg. after wooden machine fight)

VSYNC implemented but still not in the options. By default it's turned off but in case you want to enable it, navigate to /Data/Settings.con and set [VSYNC] value from 0 to 1.
I'm sure there are some other things that I may left out but in general, you should feel the difference when playing the game for sure.
Unfortunatelly, more bugs were found which I've not managed to fix. Also, there are some polishing and gameplay updates planned for the next minor (bug fixing) update (before MAC version):

You are always placed at the start of the map selection screen.
Game crashing sometimes when respawning at the checkpoint in the Cathedral map.
In the Queen's Lair, when respawning at the checkpoint, you can be placed in the void.
Shooting stones at the bottom walls may destroy stones at the player's position sometimes.

Cultists may fire themselves up (shooting at the wall in front of them. They are bad at aiming good...)

Courier of the Crypts coming to MAC OS soon
Just recently I had a time and opportunity to port Courier of the Crypts to MAC OS which is one of the targeted platforms for the game at the release. After some tweaking and learning the Apple way I managed to successfully run it!

Why making MAC OS version before the release? Finish the game first!
The original plan was to work on the MAC OS port soon after the game is released for Windows but the interest from that side is getting higher and there are also MAC OS users from pre-order times. That was enough for me to start the early porting.
There are still some issues that I have to fix with MAC OS port but in general it runs really smooth without any additional problems. I just want to spread the game to other platforms so everyone can play it and that I can recognize and fix possible bugs on different operating systems early.
When:
Right now I'm working on the next content and polishing update which is a priority. As soon as I get it out I will move the priority to MAC OS version and release it on Steam as soon as all the issues are fixed.
Anything for us Linux users?
I have Linux in mind as much as MAC but I will do this step by step. Above all, the main goal is to get the game finished so we can all enjoy the full version but I can promise that I will start looking into the Linux port soon after the MAC version is released.
Minor patch #11 - Overworld fixes
While testing something out I accidentally found some critical bugs in the Overworld screen that needed a sudden fix and while doing that I've fixed some other issues as well.
Bug fixes:
When finishing some specific maps or quitting the game on them, you were placed somewhere in the darkness in the Overworld or on the map where you shouldn't be. For some that may mean getting stuck in the overworld without an option to continue - thankfuly this happened on some realy rare occasions but it did it the past for some players and until know I didn't have a clue how.
If you quit to the main menu while moving between two map nodes a bug may occoured when you came back.
When entering the overworld, Courier got some ultra fast animation played for a second or two which looked siily.
Removed some debugging key shortcuts which most likely crashed the game.
There are not many bug fixes but as you can see some of them were true game stoppers. If one of those occurred for you then I'm deeply sorry but I'm doing my best to get rid of them as soon as possible.
Minor patch #10 - Queen's Fight
Just one day passed and some of the bugs mistakes already got into the new update.
Big thanks goes to matzetoni from the forums for pointing out bugs again so early as he always does. This helps me a lot so I can fix stuff before many other players experience the same troubles.
Here's a quick fix for these and some updates.
Fixes:
Spider Queen had VERY low health but now she is a very fierce opponent.
Spider Queen dropped a weird roar after the fight.
Killing the Spider Queen in the ordinary way made her invulnerable-funny-dancer. She dies now properly.
Update:
Dialog added after the Spider Queen's death.
At the very end of the Queen's Lair map a nice hefty treasure awaits.
If you find any bugs please report them in the BUGS topic on the forums for it helps me and other players greatly.

Content Update #7 - Queen's Lair
After a long wait, new content update is finally live featuring a new map which will test your Courier courage for good - Queen's Lair.

First of all I would like to apologize for a big delay with a new content but the game is getting close to the bigger milestone which is a transition from the Marble Halls to the next chapter of the game - Forgotten Crypts. That transitions needs to be done well and I am working on the polishing as well so it takes time. It will be released in March.

Instead of the new update I would like to tell you a bit more about the next chapter and what can you expect from it.
Storyline
Courier is going to move downwards entering the Forgotten Crypts, part of which he already saw in his nightmare.
Storyline will progress further revealing more of that past behind the crypts but for that you will need to ride a boat on the River of Life, throw yourself with the catapult over the fortress walls and walk through the dark ruins of the long forgotten crypts. There will be much more variety in the environment than in the Marble Halls.
New puzzles & Monsters
Face the heavy enchanted golems wielding heavy sarcophagus stones as their shield.
Movable clay blocks to help you solve puzzles or in some situations to serve you as a shield.
Electric bugs traveling in groups - don't try to cross them without thinking first.
Operate old mechanisms to build your path.
Run before dark moths before they drink your light from the torch.
Explore the cultist expedition in the Mushroom world and find a way to exit that weird place.
Research old language to find your way forward
New weapons
New secrets
MUCH MORE!
This is going to be the most exciting part of the game for the players and for the development as well because there are really a lot of cool stuff already done and planned. It will offer a lot of the variety in the gameplay and environment which makes it really fun!
Is the Courier finally going to make his delivery?
DID YOU KNOW:This chapter was meant as the only chapter in the game from the very beginning.
Once again I am really sorry for such a delay. I know it can be annoying to wait for the update in Early Access for that long but I rather release something with quality instead of quickly-done maps ruining the fun with the bad quality.

We don't want to rush ahead with new and fresh content just to leave bugs and poor content behind. This will be a huge milestone for a game so stay tuned.

Year 2015 was a big one for the Courier of the Crypts with all the work and crazy Early Access release and for that I would like to thank you all. Although the update was planned for the Christmas I have to postpone it to this Saturday because there are some minor issues to fix and some details to add. I apologize for not bringing you fun on Christmas but Courier needs some time off on Christmas as well, although he will be celebrating in the Crypts with spiders and mummies.
