Hello, survivors! Let’s continue talking about the new features of the upcoming Founders season. In this entry, we’ll share some information about legendary parts: a heavy cabin and a cannon with two modes of firing. We also recently mentioned two new frames in our social media posts. Are you intrigued? Let’s take a look!
We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This applies not only to information about possible unique features of new parts, but also to the appearance of the parts themselves.
Legendary heavy cabin
Can Founders return without bringing a cabin from a heavy construction machine? No way. The new heavy cabin encourages heroically taking damage during battles, since it is the slowest and the most massive one in the game.
But while you’re tanking, you’re also powering up. The parameters of the cabin increase when you take damage. And not just in big spikes of boosting just one, all characteristics of the cabin gradually improve over time. The bonuses accumulate until the end of the battle.
Legendary cannon
Founders love parts that can switch modes. The new legendary cannon is a flexible tool of destruction with impressive vertical aiming angles, which is quite in line with its general concept.
The main firing mode is the same as of a classic cannon that fires on a ballistic trajectory. The only difference is that the new legendary cannon can fire a burst of several projectiles. If you hit your targets, you can activate the perk that allows you to switch to the second firing mode. It turns your cannon into an artillery weapon that fires on a plunging trajectory. Each shot in this mode deals massive damage. No enemy can hide from this cannon.
New frames
A really generous gift from the Founders indeed! They are bringing new frames to the Crossout: 3x1, 3x3 and a special new L-shaped 3x3 frame (a surprise based on the popular demand). All new frames will be available in two variants: light and standard, making it 6 frames in total.
P.S. We are happy to receive your feedback about new types and sizes of frames in the game. We will try to add more new frames in the future updates.
That’s all for today. The next devblog entry will be released soon, stay tuned!

Record your gameplay using Steam Game Recording!
Hello, survivors! In the “Final Run” update we have added support for game recording if you play through the Steam client. Now you can record footage of your gameplay without wasting a lot of your computer's resources (NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards will take care of everything); replay recent moments of the battle; edit the resulting footage directly in the overlay without using other programs, and of course, share the result with your friends!
A short manual on how Steam Game Recording works
What will Steam record?
When enabled by the user, Steam Game Recording will capture your gameplay footage of games played through the Steam Client. It will not capture video of your desktop or other programs. You can choose to include the audio from other programs, such as voice chat programs. When recording and sharing, be respectful of others and abide by the Steam Subscriber Agreement and the Steam Online Conduct Rules.
How do I turn it on?
In the Steam Client go to Steam > Settings > Game Recording (or while playing a game, open the Overlay and then the Game Recording tab at the bottom of the screen.)
You can select from Off/Don't record, Record in Background (which will record anytime you play games), and Record on Demand (which will record only when you turn it on.) There are settings available to make sure your recordings don't fill up your hard drive, plus audio settings, shortcut keys, and more.
Where are my recordings?
Game recordings (and their timeline) are shown in the in-game Overlay and in your Recordings & Screenshots viewer. From the Steam Desktop Client select View > Recordings & Screenshots.
You can choose where your recordings are stored on your hard drive from Steam > Settings > Game Recording. Steam is capturing both the video and the timeline in a raw format, if you'd like a video format (mp4) of your gameplay then you'll need to create a clip and export it.
How do I customize my settings?
In the Steam Client go to Steam > Settings > Game Recording (or while playing a game, open the Overlay and then the Game Recording tab at the bottom of the screen.) From Game Recording Settings you can select when you want your games recorded and customize things like the max disk space reserved, where they are reserved, what audio is captured, your shortcut keys, and more.
How do I drop a marker?
While in-game if you have a moment you want to come back to, you can drop a marker with Ctrl+F12. A blue marker icon will display at spot on the timeline so you can clip it later. You can also drop a marker when looking at your timeline, by right clicking on the timeline or by clicking the marker icon.
How do I make a clip?
If you find a moment you want to save or share, click the Clip button to drop a clip suggestion on the timeline that you can adjust by dragging the end points, or using the Start and End Clip buttons. When you save a clip you'll see it represented with a yellow bar on the timeline, that footage has now been saved to your PC.
How do I share/save a clip?
After clicking the "Clip" button and setting your beginning and end points, you'll see a "Save/Share" or "Share" button with a few options:
Save in Steam - Saves the clip as you've edited it, to your Steam Recordings & Screenshots where you can come back to it later to edit or share. (Clips are the best way to ensure your best moments are saved, and not overwritten.)
Export Video File - Export your clip to an mp4 format
Copy to Clipboard - Just like you'd copy anything else on your PC. Paste it anywhere.
Send to Other Device - Transfer the clip to a PC or Steam Deck you've recently signed in to. The next time you sign in to Steam on that device (within the next 2 days), your clip will automatically download there.
Create a Share Link - Steam will host your clip and give you a shareable link that expires after 2 days.
We hope that with the new functionality you'll find it easier to share your favorite moments from the world of mad Wasteland. Good luck in your battles!
