Today we launched an update bringing together a range of new features and improvements, plus some fixes. Hope you like the changes and once again thank you for the continued support and feedback.

For frame 2 onwards, players can choose between 'Take Turns', 'Winner of Previous Game', 'Loser of Previous Game', 'Player with Higher Score' and 'Player with Lower Score'. See 'Options > Match Settings > Start Player'.
Fixed issue where the cue would briefly flash when pressing 'Restore' button on the control panel to reset balls to the previous position in practice mode.

Fixed issue where avatar for offline players 2-4 would be same as player 1.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Leaderboard qualification settings and trophy settings have been combined into a single menu at 'Options > Achievements'.
Improved colouring on all 'Pro' level trophies awarded for tournament and Bar Challenge wins.
Improved layout of trophy summary screen. See 'Achievements > Trophies > Summary'.

Fixed issue where pressing spacebar from the in-game replay menu would sometimes select the wrong 3D camera.
CONTROLS
Added 'F' key to change cue power (force) while moving mouse forwards and back without taking a shot. Also maintains display of target and aim lines.

Cue Club 2 Update 21.02.23
Hi everyone,
Hope you're keeping well. In today's update we've brought together a collection of additions and improvements to the game in many different areas, with several key fixes too. Full details are below.
CONTROLS
Cue power adjustment is now more accurate when using forwards and backwards mouse motion, using either manual or automatic cueing method. To adjust the cueing speed, go to 'Options > Controls > Advanced Settings' and edit the setting 'Power Adjustment (Speed)'.
Settings for mouse wheel speed now also apply if mouse wheel function is set to cue power. See 'Options > Controls > Advanced Settings > Mouse Wheel (Speed)'.
Improved gamepad left stick sensitivity when adjusting cue power, spin and cue elevation from the control panel.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Fixed issue which sometimes prevented access to Cocktail or Penthouse bars if they had already been unlocked. This could previously happen if the option 'Automatically award lower level trophies' was enabled in trophy settings.
Added option to define qualifying threshold values for snooker breaks and speed pool times in offline leaderboards. Click the 'Settings' button on the leaderboard screens and edit the 'Qualifying Threshold' value. The setting applies to new entries only and does not affect existing records. Snooker break range is 10-100 (default 10) and speed pool time range is 2-5 minutes (default 5).
Added first and last page buttons to leaderboards to help assist with navigation when there are many table entries. See 'Achievements > Snooker Breaks / Speed Pool Times'.
Snooker break trophies for 30-50 breaks and 75-147 breaks are now accessed from a sub-menu. See 'Achievements > Trophies > Snooker Breaks'.
Snooker high break trophies can now only be unlocked by player 1 and not other players.
Speed pool qualification time for online leaderboards is now set at 4 minutes or less. As before, secondary aim lines must be turned off.
Increased maximum number of offline record entries from 200 up to 250.
AUDIO
Fixed a crash bug which could occur when pressing the 'Reset Audio Device' button. This feature restores sound if another audio device was previously connected. The button can be found at 'Options > Audio'.
A.I.
Improved AI cue power calculation when playing on a table with slow or fast cushions.
Improved AI three cushion break off in snooker when playing on different sized tables (8ft to 12ft).
MULTIPLAYER
Fixed an issue where it was possible to get a false notification that an MP game could not be started, shortly before the game actually begins.
Deleting a sent invite from 'Sent Items' now has no effect if the other player has already returned the invite.
If a sent invite from 'Sent Items' has been deleted, then a return invite received after this time will not be shown.
The player refresh button is now greyed out if virtual players are not invited into the lobby (see 'Options > Match Settings > Multiplayer').
Minor layout improvements to the lobby user interface.
Fixed issue with overlapping text if both players sent a long message at the same time, whilst in-game at the table.
SNOOKER
If there is a tie at the end of a game (scores are equal), the black is respotted and cue ball placed in the 'D'. On the first shot the secondary aim line is now disabled to make it harder to pot the black directly into a corner pocket. A note has been added to the tiebreaker menu screen.
MISCELLANEOUS
Fixed issue in 'Change Cue' menu where the 'Save' button was greyed-out if the cue was changed in-game and balls were either re-racked or a new frame/rack was started within the current match.
Fixed text error in menu option heading at 'Game Rules > General Rules' (Global English).
Various tweaks to localised text.

We're pleased to announce another new update today with a range of additions, improvements and fixes to Cue Club 2. Thank you again for providing valuable feedback which helps us to continually refine the game.

Deleting a game invite from the 'Sent Items' list now removes that invite from the opponent's inbox and from the in-game control panel.
Fixed issue where invites sometimes disappeared after exiting a game to visit the lobby.
Fixed issue where 'Save and Exit' option would be greyed out after exiting to the MP lobby from the in-game menu without saving, then returning back to the table to resume the current game.
Improvements to multiplayer connectivity with further steps taken to keep online games synchronised across different PC architectures and operating systems.
EURO 8 BALL POOL
Fixed issue where balls were incorrectly referenced as spots / stripes instead of their colour (e.g. red / yellow).
CONTROLS - KEYBOARD
When the 'Rack Balls' confirmation screen is accessed by pressing '0' or 'F10', pressing the same key a second time now acts as a shortcut to confirm the decision.
CONTROLS - GAMEPAD
Reduced size of gamepad right stick 'dead-zone' on the X axis, when rotating camera around the cue. This improves overall sensitivity of the stick when performing this action.
Added variable speed control to vertical cue angle adjustment, when using the gamepad left stick plus 'Y' button (XBOX controller) or triangle button (PS controller).
CAMERAS
Fixed issue where 3D opponent camera would sometimes switch from TV mode to first-person mode after accessing the menus and pressing spacebar.
Fixed issue in multiplayer games where first-person camera would be used on the break shot instead of the TV camera, if TV mode was selected for the opponent view.
Fixed issue where the camera switched to first-person mode at the end of a game, if opponent had won and TV mode was selected for the opponent view.

Cue Club 2 Update 30.01.23
Hi everyone,
In today's update we've brought together a range of improvements and fixes to various aspects of the game including controls, multiplayer and menus. Please see below for a full breakdown of the recent changes.
CONTROLS
Added a new control method which uses the 'C' key plus mouse movement for cueing action. Press and hold the key while sliding the mouse forwards and back. Can be used with 'Automatic', 'Manual' and 'Button' cue control settings. Some may find this offers a more natural two-handed approach to gameplay. Also works well with 'Fast Aiming' mode enabled (see 'Options > Controls > Basic Settings').
Key 'O' (letter O) has now been mapped to reset spin to the axis origin (centre position).
Fixed an issue where the right mouse button could be used to play a shot when the 'Button' mode was set for cue control. This method allows cueing by clicking the 'Play' button on the control panel. 'Automatic' or 'Manual' cueing methods should be selected if you prefer to use mouse clicks to play a shot.
MULTIPLAYER
Added separate save options for 'Table Size', 'Pocket Shape' and 'Ball Size' when playing on a US pool table, European pool table or snooker table. For clarity, these three options now state which table is currently selected. Note: after the update has installed you may need to reconfigure these settings from within the lobby.
Settings for aim lines have been moved to page 2 of the lobby control panel.
Game now displays a pause screen when returning to the table from the multiplayer lobby.
Potential fix for a rare synchronisation issue that could very occasionally disrupt an online game between two human players.
MENUS
Added a cancel button to live chat when the menu is activated using the '1' or 'F1' key.
Changed 'Table Size' button to 'Tables & Equipment', which is shown at the bottom of the menu when choosing game type. Clicking the button gives quick access to more features including table options, ball sets, cues and chalk.
Fixed an issue where the 'Alt' icon in keyboard controls menu was reversed when mouse buttons were set up in Windows for left-handed users.
Selecting the 'Rack Balls' menu option in practice mode, slam and speed pool now presents a confirmation screen.
Various improvements to localised text.
Other minor fixes and enhancements.
Cue Club 2 Update 19.01.2023

CAMERAS
In 3D mode, slightly increased the amount the camera draws back after playing a shot, to give a better view of the table. Note: players can move the mouse left and right to rotate the camera after a shot is played, or press the middle mouse button to zoom out further (gamepad left shoulder button).
Smoother operation of first-person camera for human and AI players when moving the aiming target close to the cue ball.
Fixed issue where TV camera would switch back to first-person camera if selected for the opponent view.
Fixed issue where switching turns from human to AI player would sometimes make the camera jump when using the first-person view.
GRAPHICS
Improved environment rendering in theatre and bar venues.
Fixed small rendering issues on sides of the pool table, near ball collection areas.
Fixed issue that sometimes rendered cushion shadows either too light or too dark when switching between games of pool and snooker.
AI
Difficulty levels have been tweaked, with novice and amateur levels made slightly less challenging. Note: players can scale difficulty up or down by going to 'Options > Match Settings > Difficulty Level' with 5 settings from 'Novice' to 'Pro' plus a fine tuning adjustment.
PHYSICS
Default shot power has an increased range from 10-60% (previously 20-50%). See 'Options > Controls > Advanced Settings > Default Power'. This is the power level set before any adjustment is made by the player. Full power range is 0.5-100%.

Added option to configure table in practice mode to use either Quick Match or Multiplayer settings for table size, pocket shape, cloth and cushion speed. See 'Options > Match Settings > Practice > Table Settings'.
Added language shortcut button to the main menu. See the small globe icon at the bottom right of screen. Clicking it takes you directly to the language menu, which can be helpful if you accidentally selected the wrong option.
Added separate venue preferences for Tournament and Quick Match (non-tournament) matches. See 'Options > Match Settings > Competition Venue'. New locations will unlock as Bar Challenge stages are completed.
Added a small 'X' close button to in-game menus so players can return to the game faster, instead of navigating up through levels. Note: the button is not available when a notification is presented since a decision may need to made.
Game information screen now also shows size of table, cloth speed and cushion speed. From the in-game menu select 'Information' and advance to page 2.
In-game menus for replays, game information and multiplayer have had the 'Back' buttons replaced by 'Cancel' buttons, if they are accessed directly from the control panel.
In a snooker match, the game information screen now shows if a player requiring snookers is unable to win the frame, when only the black ball remains.
Added 'Recommended' text next to cue deflection effect (with 'Automatic Correction' setting) at 'Options > Tables & Equipment > Cues > Global Settings > Deflection Effect'. Although the 'Manual' setting can be useful for experienced players, others may find the default 'Automatic' setting much easier to work with.
In the graphics menu, the option 'Minimise Inactive Window' is now greyed out when 'Fullscreen' mode is selected, since the option is always 'Yes' in this instance.
Added a soft glow to the white menu buttons when activated, for improved visibility.
Fixed issue where the starfield animation on the game over screen was halted during a fade to the main menu.
Fixed issue where some buttons did not grey out when an option limit had been reached.
Fixed issue where it was possible to enter a blank name for a human player in Quick Match.
MULTIPLAYER
Lobby access button is now always visible from the in-game menu, even when the lobby 'Receive Alerts' button is deactivated. The exception to this is if you are already playing another human opponent in multiplayer.
Fixed issue where a player would sometimes not be logged out of the lobby on exit, if the 'Receive Alerts' button was disabled.
Improved visibility of the 'Receive Alerts' button in the lobby, with an larger clickable area.
SNOOKER
Fixed issue where rule variations for 'Foul and a Miss' were not set on first time use, or if the settings file had been deleted. See 'Game Rules > Rule Variations > Snooker'. Default option is 'Limit of 3'.
SPEED POOL
Fixed issue where the clock would stop without a 'Time Up' ending message, if you began cueing just before the timer reaches 5 minutes.
KILLER POOL
Added 'Ball in Hand' message to the notifications capsule at the start of a game, or on a re-rack, or following a scratch by the previous player.
USER INTERFACE
Pointer arrow is now rendered with a small fade-in in after target has been repositioned and the left mouse button released (control method 1).
Fixed issue where pointer arrow was sometimes drawn when moving the target. This occurred on the large control panel setting when the shot setup window was active, and sometimes after cancelling the in-game menu.
LEADERBOARDS
Improved layout with added navigation buttons. Current page number is now displayed at the bottom of the window. Also added a refresh button for online leaderboards, which can be used after a new speed pool time or snooker break is made that qualifies for the table.
Uploading scores from the leaderboards is now limited to the highest break in snooker and fastest time in speed pool, recorded in the current year. Also applies to the upload feature at 'File Management > Upload Saved Data'.
Fixed issue where in-game leaderboards for speed pool were sometimes incorrectly ordered if the player had manually deleted some entries.
REPLAYS
Added slight pause before playing each shot in a replay sequence, to show more of the cueing action.
AUDIO
Fixed issue where music would sometimes restart from track 1 instead of playing through entire track list, when exiting a game and returning to the menu.
Fixed issue where music volume would not be lowered if returning from the multiplayer lobby to the in-game menu, and player had enabled 'Volume Reduction' from the audio menu in music settings.
CHALK
Added separate chalk colour options for pool and snooker. See 'Options > Tables & Equipment > Chalk' and click on the pool or snooker tab at the top of the screen, then choose your preferred chalk for each game. Settings are saved out for player 1.
CONTROLS / GAMEPLAY
Improved ball and pocket nomination, with slightly smaller click zones to avoid accidental nomination. Also increased brightness of selected pockets for improved visibility.
When using the left 'Alt' key with mouse movement for fine aim control, and 'Fast Aiming' is enabled, the target positioning is now restricted to within the table boundaries.
Improved table navigation when using a game controller or touchscreen device, with better calibration of X and Y axis speeds.
Fixed issue in Speed Pool where game controller buttons were disabled for the 'Cancel Shot' option in the settings menu. This option now only affects mouse control.
Fixed issues when nominating balls if the player changed the nomination method mid-game from 'Automatic' to 'Manual' setting.
MISCELLANEOUS
Fixed issues where sometimes after changing display resolution in the graphics menu, the window would not stretch to cover the full screen.
Fixed similar issue to above where after changing resolution the pointer arrow would not travel to the far edges of the screen.
When loading an old saved game to resume play, the version number is now updated so the game uses the latest engine refinements. Does not affect saved shots or replays of snooker breaks and speed pool games.
Various improvements to localised language text.
Other minor fixes and enhancements.

Cue Club 2 Update 21.12.22
Hi everyone,
In this update we have a collection of new features, fixes and enhancements to the game. Full patch notes are listed below, which also includes a summary of changes made in some recent minor updates.
LEADERBOARDS
Fixed issue where occasionally leaderboards would not sort into the correct order if they became full. This possibly could have caused some record entries to be hidden from view.
Added button to allow players to delete individual leaderboard entries (see small 'trashcan' graphic on the right of each listing). Includes confirmation screen to avoid an accidental delete.
Tweaked button appearance for manual uploading of scores to online leaderboards (see small 'cloud' graphic on the right of each listing). Also made improvements to upload confirmation screen.
PHYSICS
Cue deflection now has two settings. 'Automatic correction' will auto compensate for deflection and reposition the cue to maintain aiming accuracy. 'Manual correction' requires that the player adjusts the aiming angle to allow for deflection when using side spin. See 'Options > Tables & Equipment > Cues > Global Settings > Deflection Effect'. Default setting is 'Automatic correction' which is recommended for most players unless you prefer to make the additional aiming adjustments for deflection.
SPEED POOL
Added link to settings within the in-game menu at 'Options > Match Settings > Speed Pool'.
Fixed issue in saved replays where the last shot was not played. New games saved will include the final shot.
KILLER POOL
Fixed issue where player pots last ball together with cue ball. Previously, when 'Continue Game' screen appears, if player presses 'Enter' key when referee is respotting the cue ball, the ball would disappear out of the referee's hand.
CONTROLS
Fixed issue where pointer arrow would sometimes appear instead of aiming target when fast aiming is enabled.
CAMERAS
In 3D mode, camera now always auto-targets the on-ball if there is only one possible candidate for the next shot.
After taking a shot, player can rotate the camera in 3D mode to set up position for the next shot. The threshold sensitivity for this has been increased, so small camera movements no longer trigger manual positioning, and instead the camera auto aims towards the next ball in play.
REPLAYS
Fixed issue where buttons would flash at end of a saved replay when using the large control panel setting.
MENUS
In snooker match information, the 'Concede Game' button text has been renamed to 'Concede Frame'.
The 'Resume previous game' button is now not active for 'Slam' mode if the game had an unexpected exit in the previous session.
Various tweaks to localised text.
Cue Club 2 Update 10.12.22
Hi everyone,
Hope you're all keeping well. In today's update we've included a number of new additions, improvements and fixes, as highlighted by the community. Thanks once again for the support and feedback. Please see below for a full breakdown of the changes.
PHYSICS
Cue deflection effect now simulated when side spin is added to the cue ball. Cue position auto-adjusts to compensate for the effect to help maintain aiming accuracy.
CONTROLS
In practice mode, pressing 10 / F10 key to restore balls while referee is active now sets 3D camera view, if this mode was selected.
Fixed issue where holding 'B' key while referee was re-spotting the cue ball would cause the ball to appear inside a pocket.
Fixed issue where holding 'B' key and moving the cue ball while chalking cue would cause cue rotation problems.
MENUS
Mouse control icons now drawn correctly if user has swapped left and right mouse button from Windows control panel (helpful for left-handed users).
In-game cue selection menu now shows power and spin rating.
Fixed issue where in-game cue selection save button was sometimes disabled for Player 1 after changing settings.
Slam and Detonator mode now moved to 'Bonus Games' category in solo play.
SPEED POOL
Options for Speed pool now accessed by clicking the 'Settings' button at the bottom of the in-game start screen, where the fastest 3 times are shown.
Added new tick box setting to enable / disable 'cancel shot' using the mouse buttons. Default setting is on, but turning off will prevent accidental shot cancellations.
Added new tick box setting to restrict mouse movement to the boundaries of the table when fast aiming is enabled (control method 2). If enabled, the control panel functions can instead be accessed via keyboard shortcuts. See controls menu for more info.
Auto-chalking is now standard in Speed Pool for faster gameplay (same as multiplayer).
Ranking of players in leaderboard now correct when scores are tied. Applies to in-game scores shown after clearing the table.
In 3D view, if the cue ball is potted and the player rotates the camera while balls are rolling then the camera is set to that direction after the cue ball is re-spotted.
Fixed issue when playing in first-person mode, where camera was not restored to 3D view if the cue ball was potted on the last shot.
KILLER POOL
If rule variation for losing a life after potting the cue ball is not enabled, then the audience no longer respond with a sigh if the player scratches, since no penalty is awarded (theatre venues only).
Other minor fixes and enhancements.

SNOOKER
Fixed issue where a pocket could overflow if a large number of balls were potted at once.
Fixed issue where potted balls would not display when viewed at certain angles in 3D mode.
CONTROLS
Re-tuned mouse and gamepad target movement speeds to offer more precision at lower end of possible values. See 'Options > Controls > Advanced Settings > Navigation Speed (2D/3D)'. Default value now 50%.
