Hello Creatures! This update is about fixing some things and adjusting from last update. Thank you for your support for my first game ever made this is a dream come true <3 I have made 345 changes to the game with this update and #45 before this, I'm trying my best to make everyone happy while keeping the vision for the game.

Increased Item drop rates on human lieutenant from 3 to 10 and lowered the spawn delay from 300 to 5 seconds to make farming humans more viable.
Entrance for Dead Grounds remade.

Changed the spawn rates for Dead Grounds so the monsters stop dropping nothing.
Changed the spawn rates for Skeletons so the monsters stop dropping nothing.
Changed the turkey hat drop from %5 to %10.
Added trophy rewards to dungeon monsters and the bosses.
Fiber rate increased for dungeon monsters.

Nerfed Eye Of The Predator item from giving 30% dex to 1% dex per level.
Buffed Toxic Scythe changed attack speed from 0.005 to 0.015 per level.
Removed the extra duration per level on Scorpoid Rage Skill so its a flat 20 seconds.
Adjusted Scorpoid Impale skill so it will root target also increased stun duration for leveling the skill up.
Removed a lag effect on Dripple Pepper, increased the EXP gain reduced damage and duration.
Now there's a chance that you can loot roll random trophies from dungeon monsters.
Increased trophies amount on killing monsters in the dungeon.
Increased movement speed on both crystal bosses, raised the attack area, increased damage a bit and attack speed on purple crystal king.
Fixed a few stuck and exploit spots in the dungeon.
Changed Haalk natural armor gain, from 0.5 to 1 pain armor per level and removed the 0.01 armor per level for other damage attributes.
Removed % of block rate from Dragon Knight Armor
Removed Leaf Wand giving Bash skill levels.
Lowered Tremor Ice Chomp Freeze duration per level from 0.10 to 0.04.
Buffed Titan set to give more HP.

General Changes:
Fixed a issue with item duping.
Removed sounds from item drops. (was too loud)
Increased ambient and weather volume, lowered SFX, possibly fixed the sound sliders, please excuse me if some things in the game are too loud, I lost some hearing when I was in the Army as a rifleman so it may not be right, its hard for me to tell.
UI will now remember hotbar items correctly.
Smashed a bug with creature creation when a name was taken or invalid.
Smashed a bug with hit registration after a few hits.
Fixed a issue with UI rearranging where multiple UI moved at once now all UI is move-able separately.
Reworked the dungeon setup this includes monster and crystal spawns.
Changed all items to be breakable.
Nerfed gold gain per level on monsters.
Adjusted max level from 32000 to 30000.
Moved Asteroids from Epic resource spawn chance to Rare spawn chance (now Asteroids will spawn more in the overworld 25% chance)
Added Blue and Purple Crystal as a Epic resource spawn chance in the Overworld (10% chance)
Increased visibility range from 80 to 90.
F8 Screenshot mode now hides all UI.
Changed item despawn delay from 7 seconds to 14 seconds.
Added a loot lock duration where only the killer can loot something they killed for 5 seconds before anyone can pick up the dropped items.
You can now wear 4 addons and runes.

Fixed a issue where hats on some creatures didn't display properly.
Raised all resistance cap to 70% except for pain resistance is still capped at 25%
Reworked how skills are leveled now for most skills you need to gain another 100 levels before you can put in another point.
Implemented speed hack detection with auto correction at server, meaning if somebody speed hacks the game will automatically revert them back to the normal. Syncing was changed, now client will send movement input, and action input at the same time when the server receives input from client it will process it and sync. We are still using the warden bot that will detect any hacks and send the log to the developer to issue bans.
Hit Registration changes in this version the client will tell the server when hitting based on the clients ping to improve player experience.

Crystal Cave Dungeon Changes:
Fixed some collider issues and holes in the wall.
Added Level Requirement to enter the dungeon 1000+.
Changed Crystal Greed Quest trophies reward 100 to 250, increased exp gain from 9mil to 12 mil, gold reward from 10k to 5k, gore reward 100 to 10, crystal requirement from 100 to 1k and added a level requirement of 1000 to turn in.
Changed giant blue crystal trap in front room to have a longer delay before respawn.
Moved dungeon monsters around and separated Crystal bosses.
Stones, rocks, blue and purple crystals now give less rocks and stones.
Changed the bosses to not follow you across the cave they stop after 5 seconds.
Fixed 2 spots on a rocks that you could get stuck on.
Reduced the max particle count on the snow storm from Blue Crystal King from 10,000 to 25 to prevent crashing/lagging issues.
Overworld and Map Changes:
Fixed some colliders in the overworld.
Reworked the entire overworld zone to be a medium sized island and made it rewarding and not bare compared to the last map.
Changed the first overworld zone to PVE only and changed the monsters to level 1-10k. you start out in to be a hub for all other maps to connect and prepare for PVP in the other zones (this way we don't have players spawn killing noobs and stopping new players from learning.
Added a new map "Dead Grounds" PVP Contested zone level 10k-30k monsters Non Equipped items in your inventory will drop upon death in the zone, requirement to enter the zone is level 2000+.
Item Changes:
You can now break any item, except consumables, you can also break rocks and mats for gold.
Reduced armor and crit across the board and some damage while increasing HP to compensate.
Expanded the item mutation system from 12 levels to 31 so some of this may look like a nerf but its not since you can go higher in item levels now, we just cant have high values to start.

Reworked Scorpoid:
Increased natural HP gain per level from 700 to 1400 and added 1 fortitude, 1 vitality, 1 survival per level.
Lowered cooldown, increased damage and reworked poison sting to scale off vitality and fortitude also changed the cooldown to 10 seconds.
Raised the HP gain of Brawn passive from 50 to 1000 and lowered the armor rates from 5 per level to 1.
Changed Bite to do pain and toxic damage over time and increased damage scaled off vitality and fortitude.
Changed Rage reduced duration and increase the cooldown but also gave it more movement speed and now give a large amount of fortitude and armor for the duration.
Removed Spike Throw and replaced with Nature's Sting, Sting the target poisoning it, dealing toxic damage overtime while rooting it in place.
Removed Stab and replaced with Impale, Impale target dealing toxic and pain damage overtime while stunning it.

Added a second main boss to Crystal Cave ~ now there's a blue and purple crystal boss to match the theme. Thank you to Astra for the suggestion.
Moved around some objects in the dungeon to avoid exploit spots.
Added the word "Passive" in the title of all passives not to confuse new players.
Increased base movement speed when walking and sprinting.
Changed all skill level requirements from 1-10-25-50-75-100 to 1-25-50-100-500-1000.
Buffed Clamper base vitality gain per level from 1 to 10 per level, base HP from 600 to 1000 per level, added 1 pain armor per level, in return lowered the base block rate from 0.05 to 0.01 and block damage rate from 0.05 to 0.04 I made this change to increase the damage and make it a little more tanky but not overpowered.
Corrected some typos.
Removed the compass due to issues but creatures shouldn't use it anyways instead added a map button in-game for reference for now until I add a minimap.
Removed Crystal Sorceress from the dungeon as a monster, it now only spawns from the boss.

Raised the cost of dungeon weapons from 10000 to 100000 trophies.
Buffed the Crystal King dungeon boss and increased experience that it gives significantly.
Adjusted the collision and movement values of the dungeon monsters to attempt to stop them from glitching out.
Added some missing ground colliders to the dungeon to prevent falling.
Changed the spawn rates on all monsters again including the dungeon ones and harvests.

Hotfix 2.1.2
Changed the Crystal Cave dungeon to PVPVE other players can enter the dungeon now and the monsters respawn every 2-5 mins I made this change because there was a issue with colonies saving on a instance based map so its changed to this for now. This is a workaround for now that might become permanent if liked. I think this is a healthy change because there's no warping time anymore either. The only reason I didn't do just PVE with other people coming in because players will camp the dungeon so since PVP is enabled you can kill them.
Changed the shadow resolution to be more crisp.

Lowered natural movement speed per level on prowler from 0.0005 per level to 0.0001 per level because of the recent max level increase from 1000 to 32000.

In this update Dead Event really got straightened out it's not perfect but it's getting there one miracle at a time. Big shoutout to Chaotic-Reaper_ from the community for finding a issue that was unknown and severe with the server. So turns out when I upgraded the server through the server hosting company to give us more memory, something happened when they migrated the data and all of the files and data got corrupted and the server wouldn't start, nothing would save it was just ruined beyond fixing. I stayed up for almost 2 days straight trying to not wipe and fix/save it. But no luck even a few server engineers couldn't make it work again. It is what it is... mistakes happen we're all human at least it was the server hosting company rather than the game itself. So while it's still early access I decided to do a wipe considering it's nowhere close to release. But don't worry, with this event ALL previous events activated by Alkazair so you will be able to get all that exclusive event loot +200% Growth Experience Bonus. With the new recent changes to max level from 1000 to 32000 AND your Heirlooms from buying the game in early access, leveling to level 1000 is faster than ever! So take advantage while you can! Event ends 7/11/2022. This was a good time to wipe because I switched hosting providers to provide a clean start and we will be gaining lots of new players during the event. There will be no wipe before full release everything will carry over at that time. I want this to be our last wipe ever. I plan on adding over 100+ playable creatures, more dungeons, colony wars, ranking system and new maps and more to make the game better. Event Details:
Event named after one of our community members Alkazair for coming up with this event idea. Thank you so much for supporting the game and creating an item. (You can create your own item by supporting the game on Patreon) The all powerful Alkazair arrived on the planet, carrying the crystalized flame. Alkazair's Crystalized Flame is so strong it opened portals to the past and let all the past events back into the world. All previous events activated by Alkazair. Partake in exclusive loot, quests, cosmetics and +200% experience bonus and Alkazair's Crystalized Flame super rare item drop chances are increased from 1% to 5% from boss monsters and regular dungeon monsters. Alkazair's Crystalized Flame Item gives great stats and a cosmetic aura:
Update Notes:
Placed a cooldown on creature creation to reduce data usage - make a creature - play for a little bit - you'll be able to make another creature by exiting back to the creation. If it wont let you make a character just play a existing creature and go back into the menu and try again or exit the game and retry. I might change this later its a beta test.
Reworked the sky to be better.
Reworked the lighting to be not so dark.
Reworked the fog to not be so foggy.
Changed training dummy's in town from giving 1 to 25 experience per damage (less effective than normal damage).
Changed the day and night cycle from 30 mins to 60 mins for a full day.
Fixed a bug with the sky flickering when day changes to night.
Buffed all dungeon monsters and the boss significantly.
Reworked hitbox for Crystal Sorceress dungeon monster.
Reduced the damage of Haalk skill "Slam".
Smashed a bug that was not applying Haalk armor from it's passive skill.
Smashed a bug with Koh dungeon weapon.
Smashed a bug with Fungus dungeon weapon.
Smashed a bug that made player storage not the right amount of slots.
Made it so the dungeon monsters don't respawn until you restart the dungeon.
Optimized the dungeon better removed a lot of unnecessary stuff.
Fixed the dungeon warps to the correct destination.
Went thru old configuration from when I first started game development years ago and updated everything.
Current Known issues:
If you go into the dungeon it takes a little bit to warp. (the delay is because its looking for herd members to teleport)
When you enter the dungeon there's a loud noise
sorry* :( and if you die in the dungeon and hit respawn, you will respawn in the dungeon where you died and it will take a little bit of time to teleport back to the start or you can choose to exit instead and it will take you to the main world once you go back in. I will fix this in the next updates.

Hello Creatures! After yesterdays update the database became full and caused the server to crash and things not saving correctly. I cleared the space that the server needs to continue but now the database will not start even though it has space. I have reached out to a server engineer for help and it will be back up and running as soon as possible!
Issues like this make being a Indie Developer tough, this is my first game ever made I learned how to make games by making this and it was not easy especially being a MMORPG. Regardless the server will be back up within 24 hours I am trying my best to make everyone happy. :) Perseverance is key...
I just wanted to let everyone know the current server status, its going to be down while the issue is investigated and resolved. Once this is resolved ill do a hotfix and throw in a server wide x2 growth experience event and some rewards to compensate for the downtime.

Dev notes: Hi Creatures! Thank you all for your continued support for Dead Event I never thought anyone would play my first game ever made as a indie dev so this is a dream come true for me. I look forward to bringing more content to the game. So looks I've fixed all past bugs, lets see what new bugs we will find now. I really love the community for all the help finding issues. I enjoy fixing bugs and developing games it's my passion! In the next few updates I will raise the brightness at night again not to be so dark but the moon should bring light to the world also changing the foggy weather. Ill also be adding key remapping to the settings and translating the game into other languages in the next coming updates along with more creatures, maps and content.
Core Game Changes:
Added a new graphic shader to the game to improve graphics, also added a outline around graphical edges to give the game a better unique feel.
Added more monsters wandering around the map and lowered the static spawns slightly to compensate.
Added more harvests around the map.
Added Training Dummy in town that provides EXP.
Added fps sync so that it matches the players monitor refresh rate to help with performance.

Adjusted day and night cycle to look and perform better also not so dark at night.
Reduced HP + Stam Leech Rates by 1/3.
Raised Herd limit from 10 to 25.
Removed attacking sound from aliens.
Removed a corrupted item from the database that was causing the server to crash.
Fixed sound sliders in settings, add new sound slider for Ambient sounds like weather.
Fixed some random UI issues.
Max level increased from 1000 to 32000 this is the last level change as the coding cant go higher than 32000.
Raised max Colony level to 32000.
Lowered the item loot lock from 10 seconds to 2 seconds but pvp loot is immediately.
Changed the item drop time from 15 seconds to 7 seconds to help server performance with item clutter.
Increased Gore growth EXP gain from 20000 to 25000.
Increased Vitality Attribute from 25 health to 250 per Attribute point.
Fixed some lighting settings for better performance.
Reworked stamina math hopefully this fixes the only bug we have right now were stamina doesn't deplete.
Moved UI and changed the colony, herd and trading invite to no longer block creatures from attacking while being invited.
Polished hotbar UI.
Creature Changes:
All creatures now have a 50% chance to make a auto attack sound this was to reduce noise spam. This change does not apply to Vespid creature, the Vespid auto attacks are silent as a perk to that creature class.
Changed Prowler Creature ability to turn into a mount "Nydis Wurm" from 6 seats to 4 seats, increased the base HP from 2000 to 10000 and made the passengers and driver inside while riding instead of showing on top.
Increased creature size gain and overall at max level.
Removed cooldown per level and reduced cooldown from 75 to 40 seconds on Serpenn skill "Wicked Strike".
Reworked Increased damage removed knockback/fly and renamed Haalk skill "Slam Jump" to "Slam" - Slam the ground dealing area damage and damage over time and slowing enemies while healing Haalk briefly.
Reworked Haalk passive "Demonic Scales" healing from 100 base and 50 to 500 base and 250 health per level and increased armor per level from 10 to 25 on all damage types.
Increased Haalk base health from 1000 to 2500 and health per level from 500 to 1000.
Adjusted hitbox on Snek.
Adjusted hitbox on Haalk.
Fixed a hitbox bug that made Clamper Crab invincible.
Fungus Creature Changes:
Increased cooldown of skill "Grow Beef Steak Mushroom" from 20 seconds to 60 seconds also changed it to summon amount from 2 to 1.
Changed Beef Steak Mushroom base stats from gaining 10000 hp per level to 5000 per level, reduced base armor from +50 pain to 5 per level and now gives the Fungus Summoner a buff that increases hp regen.
Reduced Enoki mushroom stack from 2 to 1.
Changed the math on "Release Spores" skill to not root the target anymore, now it does what it was intended to do, slow the target, at max level it does -1 movement speed and reduced the damage by half.
Adjusted Fungus Creature projectile to be higher.
Moved the damage location of "Shoot Seed" skill higher to prevent it from hitting the ground.
Reduced Fungus base values by half.
Reduced Shoot Seed damage by half and changed the damage type to toxic only.
Fixed collider issue and navigation with Enoki and Beef Steak Mushroom Summons.

Server Upgrade!
Greetings Creatures,
Today I completed a server upgrade successfully, the server now has high performance dedicated CPU's that provide a faster response in-game. I also relocated the server to a more suitable location to provide a better ping for EU while remaining stable internationally. There should no longer be server sided latency with this new upgrade and as a result the game should feel more responsive when registering hits and actions. This upgrade was needed considering the latency issues and preparing for dungeons. (wouldn't be fun to have a dungeon lag)
I look forward to releasing new content and quality of life upgrades as soon as possible. I am trying my best to listen to every player and make the game better for everyone, stay tuned!
