Update 1.2.5, featuring new changes and improvements to DESOLATE is already here!
Alongside this patch, Steam Trading Cards, Wallpapers, Emoticons and Badges are now available!

Changes & Improvements
Finalized work on Item Sorting mechanic. Instruments are now included in the “Crafting” category, along with materials neccessary for item crafting. Added a category for item without a specific use (Junk). Ammunition can be found under the “Weapons” category.
Increased item stacks - you can now stack up to 20 Consumable items, and up to 100 other stackable items.
The Journal now includes a scroll bar
If you throw a weapon with the “Viking” perk equipped, the weapon will be highlighted, making it easier for you to find it.
Performance Improvements.
Fixes
A notification popped up in the “Research” tab, even when the creature’s Research rank was already maxed out - fixed.
UI issue, in which your NPC Rank would appear as Level 7, when it actually was Level 5 - fixed.
Materials (Snow, for example) would in some cases get layered on top of the weapon mod - fixed.
Items in the Inventory screen would in some cases randomize - fixed.
Jump attacks would not attack Dorgs properly in some cases - fixed.
The amount of repairs on weapons would in some cases be displayed incorrectly - fixed.
In some cases creatures would teleport back to their spawn area, instead of running back - fixed.
Stealth kills now work correctly, locking you out of movement for a proper amount of time.
Missing sounds in Pneumo-Elevators - fixed.
If re-connecting to the game, Engineer quests could remove items from Player’s inventory, despite the quest being complete - fixed.
Combat music would in some cases get “stuck” and not play properly - fixed.
Level Design fixes
Localization fixes.
Fixes to some of the bugs that caused the game to crash.

New patch with some changes and fixes for DESOLATE is already here.
The list of changes:
Changes and updates
You can craft several units of the same item with one click. Right click the item in the craft menu and choose the number you want to craft. It will take the same time as one craft.
There is a small icon to show that there is new information on one of the screens of the UI. For example a new task in the journal or new perks.
You can see which items can be used for the quests you have during
looting.
Fixes
Chernovsk and the bunker near it could unload when the player was inside — fixed.
Sometimes players had problems switching between weapons — fixed.
Sometimes client players was sitting behind the armchair in a scene — fixed.
Rank points were given correctly but did not show the right amount — fixed.
Perks could not be seen by the client players — fixed.
We changed the way achievements for bosses are given — any boss kill with any type of damage will be counted towards the achievement progress.
Experience for killing marauders and NL soldiers is awarded correctly now.
Perk “Technician” did not work for clients players — fixed.
Traumas are saved correctly after restart.
The debuffs are applied correctly after restart.
Time to heal a trauma for the perk “Regeneration” is saved correctly now.
Perk “Super Soldier” works correctly now.
Perks “Sommelier” и “Foodie” did not work for the client players — fixed.
Perk “Storekeeper” did not work correctly — fixed.
We have added extra checks for the third chapter achievement. If you have already finished the chapter and did not get the achievement, you will get it when you start the game.

We’ve cooked up a significantly sized patch, containing improvements & fixes to game’s known issues.
As a result of your feedback on Steam Discussions & our official Discord channel, we’ve been able to pinpoint issues with equipment and items’ durability, along with other problems we’ve been able to settle in this patch. Once again, we would like to thank you for your overwhelming support - 1.0 had quite a number of bug-related issues, but because of you we’ve been able to overcome these issue and, step by step, making sure that DESOLATE is the best experience we can give you.
Improvements & Changes
Global optimization work done on the whole Granichny island
Durability re-worked: we’ve added durability settings in the Custom difficulty settings. Also, we’ve increased ranged weapon durability to 25-30%, and melee weaponry by 20-25%. Remember: at any time you can change the durability values in the Custom difficulty.
Equipment mechanics re-worked: you can now equip/unequip items by pressing RMB on the item’s icon. Items will automatically go into an available slot, and if all slots are full, will replace the first equipped item.
Sapsy Healing Salve now heals 20% of your total health, and only heals light injuries.
Owl-M2 now requires an X-workbench and Purple-Tier (Epic) items for crafting.
Fixes
Issues with the color puzzle in Act 3, in some cases the puzzle wouldn’t work properly - fixed. If you’ve encountered this problem before, this patch should fix it retroactively.
In some cases, Act 2 and Act 3 would only begin upon restarting the game - fixed.
“Underground” Location - in some cases player used to fall through the terrain and die. Fixed - you are now being teleported to a safe location after the fall.
While looting, item marker didn’t automatically scroll up to the top of the list - fixed.
Flamethrower attacker’s sound could still be heard after his death - fixed
Marauders used to run into the fire from their own Molotovs - fixed.
“Double weapons” in one hand - fixed.
Weapons didn’t show while the Player is in the safe zone - it’s not a bug, but we still decided to change it, so that you wouldn’t be confused
One of the Teleport exit points wasn’t placed properly and resulted in Player’s death - fixed.
Kunai would disappear sometime after being thrown out of the inventory - fixed.
Interface prompts on the numpad lock weren’t localized in some cases - fixed.
Secret sponsor’s box didn’t appear in “Severnaya” Safe Zone after getting the required perk - fixed
“Regeneration” perk did not heal Back Pain - fixed.
Double weapons equipped by NL Captain - fixed.
Fixed loading issues in Bunker near the “Severnaya” safezone.
Marauders continued their voice line after death - fixed
After incinerator’s death, his sound still played - fixed
Hunter’s ambient sounds now turn off upon his death.
Fixed spots in “Oplot”, where you could hear the outside world, when you should not
> Added sounds to electric locks for granting / denying access
“Devourer” mod could not be created properly - saved.
“Oplot” could have some issues with loading - fixed.
Level design changes.
Issue with repairing the toolbox - fixed.
Perk master alchemist did not work correctly — fixed.
Incorrect perk redistribution work - fixed.

Thank you so much for your feedback - it greatly helped us to pinpoint some of the issues, which we fixed in this patch. Namely:
After dying in certain locations players could be transported to the Safe Zone - fixed (If you are stuck in a safezone, you can use unstuck command in the menu).
Certain daily quests from the Scientist in the “Severnaya” Safe Zone did not work correctly - fixed (incorrectly working quests have been removed from your Journal, so that they wouldn’t clutter it).
Client players had issues while interacting with the Bonfire and the Workbench during online play - fixed.
Terrain fixes (North Safe Zone bridge, along with caverns nearby).
The Nullifier’s cost was incorrect - fixed.

Alongside DESOLATE’s full PC release, the final chapter in the game’s story mode, Act 3, will become available. Experience the conclusion to the story of The New Light - discover the reason behind their mission on Granichny, and witness the conclusion of the Volunteer’s story.
As DESOLATE will leave the Early Access stage it will get an updated global price of $25. So if you were considering getting the game, an upcoming Winter Steam Sale will be the best chance to get it with the lowest price.
A live-action trailer for DESOLATE is also in the works, set to release alongside the game’s exit out of Early Access on January 17th. Its haunting atmosphere and chilling visuals will give newcomers a taste of what to expect during their time on Granichny. Check out the Teaser to get an early look.

0.8.83 — AI Update
Greetings, Volunteers!
A new update featuring improved enemy AI, gameplay changes and bug fixes has officially been released.
Changes and Additions
AI Improvements - along with new animations for most of the enemies. These changes and additions along with combat improvements will make every battle feel more dynamic.
Third hit in a combo now costs 50% more stamina
The Dorg enemy now reacts physically to player’s attacks.
Vanoga’s health points are now increased.
Improved logic of player movement after sliding - if you hold the Sprint button after the Slide, player’s movement will change to Sprint; if not - the player will be in the Crouch position after the Slide.
Fixes
While playing in co-op there may be problems in displaying enemies’ weapons - fixed.
Dorg’s attack or QTE pushed the player far away - fixed.
Enemies’ head had graphical issues while discovering the player - fixed.
Issues with displaying Revive UI elements in co-op - fixed.
Issues with elemental attacks, where you hit an enemy with a modded weapon and cause the element to proc, every hit with a non-element weapon will re-stack the element - fixed.
If during a stealth attack player continues to hold movement button, the player will run in stealth mode - fixed.
Blocked attacks cause stamina to decrease at the start of movement - fixed.
Sounds issues in “Maniac” quest - fixed.
Sounds for the Demolition Man work correctly in multiplayer and are synchronized with his actions now.
