Early Access Build 20170726

I posted Early Access Build 20170726 of Disputed Space. This build includes the new Targeting System feature. The Targeting System will automatically select a nearby enemy to make it easy for the player to track that enemy. The player can manually select any enemy or friendly ship using the Select Target action, which is bound to the middle mouse button, T key, or by pressing the right stick button on the game controller. A selected target will show their details including friendly/enemy, ship type, hull/health, and shield.

I posted Early Access Build 20170719 of Disputed Space. This build includes the new "Arcade Hard" game mode. To play the "Arcade Hard" game mode, select New and then select "Arcade Hard". This new game mode includes faster projectiles, faster fighter ships, and more aggressive enemies.

I posted the Early Access Build 20170709 of Disputed Space. This build includes cockpit shake. Now the cockpit shakes a small amount when running the afterburner and a large amount when the player's ship has been hit.

I posted the Early Access Build 20170706 of Disputed Space. This build includes a change to the ranges on the volume sliders on the Audio menu.

Early Access Build 20170705

I posted the Early Access Build 20170705 of Disputed Space. This build includes the following changes:
1) Changed the default mouse/keyboard controls to match games like Overload, Descent Underground, and Everspace. The space bar is now strafe up, the left ctrl key is strafe down, and the left shift key is afterburner.
2) Changed the Mouse Aiming to feel heavier, so the player feels like he/she is in a ship.
3) Fixed a glitch in the mouse input where the player's aim would bounce around if the player rapidly moved the mouse. Now there is a limit to how much the player can rotate the ship per frame to prevent that glitch.
4) Fixed bug in visual feedback system. There was a bug where the player's visual feedback could get triggered when jumping into or out of FTL if the player collided with an asteroid, and the visual feedback was not getting reset properly once the next level started. Now the visual feedback resets automatically.
5) Fixed a bug where the player would not FTL next to the player's carrier when the next level started if the player was using the afterburner when the previous level completed.

I posted the Early Access Build 20170703 of Disputed Space. This build includes two changes:
1) Removed one of the extra horizontal bars from the cockpit mesh.
2) Added more visual feedback for when the player takes damage.

I posted the Early Access Build 20170702 of Disputed Space. This build includes two changes:
1) Improved Cockpit and HUD now includes cockpit sway
2) New Manual Afterburner now includes boosted strafing speed

The afterburner is currently set to Tab on the keyboard, left stick pressed on game controller, and button 5 on a HOTAS throttle device. These defaults may change in the future.

There is an orange bar to show how much energy is available for the Afterburner feature. The Afterburner gives a big speed boost forward for the player.
