Pushing the Limits of the Environment

Greetings, this update is a happy one (not saying our messages are bleak), the environment has been going great. The team has been working hard adding interior and exterior props. Side note our Leecher is animated, we will be merging a lot of content in these next coming weeks. Stay tuned...

The Struggle is Real!

So we have been grinding through development, we decided to push the game update to the right due to the new UNITY engine being released this month. As you can see the in game environment has gotten better (and more is being added), queen tentacles are being programmed, Light Leecher is getting rigged and animated and buildings are getting props throughout. Issues with textures and shaders has also delayed us but, we have figured those issues out. We are also fighting with fps count, our goal is to stay above 50.

    So where are we today?

    We have been very busy, as previously mentioned the new map is complete however, the overall terrain is getting enhanced. Vegetation to environmental objects are being placed, scaled and textured accordingly. Leechers are being modeled, we are a little behind due to quality requirements but, we promise it will be amazing. Check out the link below to see where we are on Leechers. Interior home items being completed. Player characters are complete. We will be delaying the update to make sure the content is right; so don’t be disappointed it will be worth the wait!

    The Pod...

    So, you are probably wondering about the Leechers. How did they come about? How did this happen? Well, I can't reveal everything at the moment but, here is a sneak peak at the pod... The pod is their incubation phase of the change, take a look at the model that will be in game! #NOTZombies

    Why Have Been You Guys Been Quiet?

    Great Question! We have been looking over all the feedback, optimizing code, making terrain smaller and more defined, the making of the Leechers – defining the classes of each. The release updates will be pushed to the right (we are sorry about that) to make sure that we improve on what was initially built. Stay tuned, we aren’t going anywhere!

    Maps, New Map Coming...

    So, we have developed a new and improved map. This map will foster more interaction by players, the previous map was too large. The actual terrain is being developed now based off of the map link below.

    Leechers… They are Not Zombies…

    So, this has been the biggest misconception (or misperception) about Don’t Bleed. And yes, we realize the asset pack we used were zombies (sheesh we don't have artists remember). Leechers are mutated human beings who have been exposed to the infection for an extended period. Prior to becoming a Leecher humans go into an incubation phase where the human body morphs due to the infection. How does this transformation take place??? I will tell you later, for now take a look at the new concept artwork on the art page!

    Where We Stand...

    Hello, we are in the midst of development, we have logged the bugs from everyone, we have also partnered with some artists/animators. So, what does that mean for Don't Bleed? It means, in the game update (now scheduled for late February 2018) there will be new animations, a new consolidated map (so players can engage with one another), new interior art assets and Leechers (#NotZombies). We plan on posting art concepts as soon as we have them, stay tuned!
