PC update is live

Dear All

We are very pleased to announce that our update for PC is now ready and will be launched at 2pm. BST today.
This update will align both the PC and Xbox builds and allows us to aim to launch simultaneous updates going forward. Highlights of this build include;

• New boss fish have been added to every lake with many named by the community including a 151lb catfish in Presa Del Monte Bravo
• Controller vibration is now fully supported and can be turned on or off in the settings menu
• You now need to hold down the B button to open and close a peg to stop you opening or closing by accident
• An option to invert the Y axis of the camera in the settings menu
• Improvements to lines to stop them snapping so easily

The update will automatically install the next time that you launch the game after release and full patch notes are available below;

New Features
• PC/Xbox - New Boss Fish have been added to every lake including L'Arene
• PC/Xbox - Force feedback is now fully supported and is operated in the settings menu
• PC/Xbox - You now hold the B button to close your peg.
• PC/Xbox – Added option to invert the Y axis of the camera in the Settings menu
• PC - added an option in the settings menu to change character
• PC - Automatic netting
• PC - Integrated Steam Friends List to make invites easier in-game
• PC - There is now an icon to show when a fish is tired on the line and can be netted
• PC - Added an option to navigate the Player List and Leader board

• PC/Xbox - New text localized into Czech, French, German, Hungarian, Polish & Russian
• PC/Xbox - Loading icon added after you select a peg from the map

• PC - Terrain materials have been optimized in L'Arene
• PC - Lighting in L'Arene has been updated
• PC - Audio optimization so it uses less memory

• PC/Xbox - Where certain objects in The Observatory had no collision

• PC/Xbox - Where the player could get stuck at the end of a game mode
• PC/Xbox - Where the volumes weren't triggered
• PC/Xbox - Were the clients in MP were not able to set the hook when using a float
• PC/Xbox - When a host migration is in progress when standing on a peg

PC Update News

Dear All

We are delighted to inform all of our PC customers that we are targeting a significant PC update by the end of July. We appreciate all of our PC customers patience whilst we have been so busy launching the Xbox One version. Full patch notes will be released in due course but some of the highlights include;

– Updated to the 4.11 game engine
– Introduction of auto netting
– Added controller rumbles
– Option to invert Y axis camera control
– Press and hold buttons/keys to claim or close a peg
– Introduction of new t shirt design for characters
– Multiplayer now tells the user if the session they are attempting to join is full
– Optimisation of fish tails in multiplayer
– Improved striking in float fishing
– Improved line thickness (reduced)
– Whole host of bug, UI and localisation fixes

New Forum Available on Website

We are very pleased to let you know that we have launched a dedicated forum for Dovetail Games Euro Fishing for all of our players across both Xbox One and PC platforms. To access our forum simply click on the Forum tab on the home page of dtgfishing.com. Once in the forum and after registering (you can use your Steam account to register), you will find different threads set up for you to view and comment in including all of our live tournament results. The forums are a way of interacting and assisting other members of the Euro Fishing community as well as interacting with members of the Euro Fishing team who will be monitoring and responding to threads as often as possible.

Please use the forums to voice opinions, leave suggestions etc but note that any aggressive or threatening posts will be blocked and may see you banned.

New Update released

We are pleased to say that we have just released another update for Euro Fishing. In this update you will find 4 new rods from the Sonik 2016 range. The rods added are;

• Sonik S3 10 ft Rod with Rubber Handle
• Sonik S3 10 ft Rod with Cork Handle
• Sonik S4 12 ft Rod with Rubber Handle
• Sonik S4 12 ft Rod with Cork Handle

The following improvements have also been made for this update;

• Boss Fish 1 has now been named DuMal
• Boss Fish 10 has now been named Scar
• Toasted Bread has now been replaced with Bread Punch
• Localization improvements have been made for French, German, Polish and Russian
• Made the appearance of the line thinner
• Controller input has been rebalanced to make the striking movement faster

Finally, the following bug fixes have been made;

• Fixed an issue where the player could walk into the water at St Johns
• Opening the Pause Menu now hides the HUD
• Fixed session settings not being copied when migrating
• Replaced some images in the Tackle Shop to better match the item selected
• Fixed an issue in MP where clients can get out of sync with the host
• Re-added the option to have a no limit Freedom Fishing session
• Fixed a crash when trying to use Quick Travel in St Johns
• Removed collision from several pieces of foliage in The Observatory
• Fixed an issue that stopped you using the controller in certain tutorials
• Moved the start location of one of the Single Player Tournament pegs
