Update 0.9.0 - Spit 'n' Polish

Hey Everyone,

Tonight, we've got one of our biggest patches to date, with a raft of improvements to gunplay, graphics, settings, menus, bugfixes, optimizations, and more!

Read on for the full patch notes.

Additions and Improvements

  • Added ELO ranking system
-ELO is now distributed to all players at the end of a round, and your ELO ranking & current rank can be viewed from the "Perks and Customization" screen
  • Optimized performance as amount of players increases
-Previously, all player animators and IK ran every frame, regardless of how far away they were from you, or whether they were even on-screen. This change should help CPU-limited systems.
  • Player avatar picture in the "Perks and Customization" screen now grabs your Steam avatar
  • Added in-game basic settings options
  • Left-click now throws a rock/other throwable item that you're holding
  • Menu UI no longer pops up after death in a round
  • Local footstep sounds (from your player) are now softer
  • Added new accuracy penalty for moving whilst shooting
-This penalty is multiplicative, and based off the guns natural ADS accuracy. For instance, snipers are affected much more from this change than guns like the Vityaz.
  • New accuracy penalty for shooting when out of stamina
-This adds a bit of risk to the "bunnyhop" gunfight style
  • Grenades now display a message showing how far away from you they've landed
  • Grenades now have stickier physics materials,
-This makes it easier to predict where your grenade will stop moving, previously they could bounce anywhere
  • Added "Join Featured Server" button directly to the Main Menu
  • Increased level of Eye Adaptation
  • Caps lock is now the rebindable button to bring up the scoreboard in Deathmatch mode
  • Improved Perk Selection UI, and added helpful messages
  • Decreased time between dying and going into spectator mode

Bug fixes

  • Optimized "Potato" quality CPU performance
  • Fixed super-lag spike when the anti-wall-peek effect triggered
  • Fixed some settings not saving correctly
  • Fog no longer affects visibility of the Playable Area dome
  • Various stamina system bugfixes
  • Improved Fist hitdetection
  • Various AI improvements
  • Fixed overexposure
  • Decreased aggressive culling distance at the U.S. Base
  • Decreased pop-in on lower graphics settings
  • Fixed sway on the C36G
