To all NVIDIA users

Hi all,

during the last week, we received reports about crashing issues so, after focusing our effort investigating, we found that the origin of the issue is related to the latest NVIDIA drivers (382.33) which go in conflicts with the engine.

Here the link to download the second-last and not-broken NVIDIA drivers (382.05) which don't have compatibility issues with the engine.

We will continue to keep an eye on this issue which seems to be very common among Unreal Engine 4 games.

Hi all!

The new update has been released and is available to download, explore the new area which unlocks the Beta planet in Winter Sea area!

With this update we also moved to v0.79

  • Added Beta Planet area in Winter Sea area!
  • Several adjustments and improvements to the tutorial section:

    • Improvements to various parkour sections.
    • Adjustments to various in-game Tips.
    • Anomalies-related dialogues in dream level have been removed as they could confuse the player.
    • Fountain-related cinematic has been removed as it could confuse the player.
    • Video tutorial for Crouch has been removed and replaced with an in-game Tip.
    • Removed the "looking around" animation during the Skypiece-related dialogue.
    • Dash cannot be used until the fight with the first golem.

  • Fixed a bug affecting the Main Quest when placing Relics on their corresponding pedestals.
  • Fixed a bug affecting Main Menu "Challenges" button, which didn't appear under certain conditions.
  • Fixed items' collection system, now aiming for collectibles should be easier with both mouse and keyboard.
  • Fixed automatic checkpoints system inside dream introduction level.
  • Fixed save system for big-reward Skypieces.
  • Fixed the materials for ManHoles.

Having such a great community is really important to us, and it was crucial to get to the point where we are now: as a very small team, it means a lot for us to be able to shape such a well-received and acclaimed product.

We are excited and we look forward to the upcoming full release: we can't wait to see your reactions to the story epilogue and to the final lore elements!

Anyway, tomorrow we are going to release a new (modest) playable area which unlocks the Beta planet in Crossroads area.

Hi all,

Thanks to all of you following the update and to all the new players, your feedback and support is what allows Downward to grow stronger and stronger!

With yesterday’s update our Italian community had a big surprise: not only we introduced full Italian support, but we asked to the youtuber "ThePruld" - very famous also out of Italy - to collaborate with us, achieving fantastic results!

As Italians ourselves, we wanted to make something special for this occasion and what came out is incredibly satisfying.

In a few hours we will upload a new build with the first hotfix.

Deep Crater Update v0.75



Hi!

A new, big update for Downward is now available!
With this update the adventure continues bringing you to the Deep Crater, a whole new area to explore where you will find a:

  • New anomaly to master, able to bend reality itself;
  • New planet to control, giving you the power to control heat;
  • New NPC;
  • New enemy to face;

Together with the progression to all the sub-quests, with items and secrets to discover!

As always, we are looking forward to all your comments and feedback, which will help us make the game always more interesting and fun!

Also, with this big update in place, now the full release is just a step ahead: look forward to it!
