Dransik 2.2 - Build: 987.862

Changes

  • Red Boar Inn 2nd weaponry sign changed to magic shop sign to match vendor
  • Skill Friendly name now also used in level message (Iron Smelting vs Iron)
  • Y key to open the spell book add to “Welcome To Dransik”
  • Taming Whip prints proper creature name when the creature cannot be tamed vs its own name
  • Grape seed planted not removed from inventory when INT save it
  • Shubin quest window entry for stage 1 is no longer blank
  • The Invalid has died shouldn’t happen the creature dies really fast
  • Quantity 0 drops that can’t be picked up should no longer happen
  • Followers will dump contents of what they are carrying for their leader to ground on death (or in the corpse, in the case where they have a corpse)

Dransik 2.2 - Build: 987.862

The lighting system is now working like it is was always intended along with the the camera system. This mainly results in it looking better, supporting more lights, and being more stable. Along with that we have some additional bug fixes following the major release last week.

Changes

  • The lighting system upgraded, can handle more lights (performance options) and lights look better including not oversaturating player
  • The camera system was upgraded, utilizing a more modern approach to game camera, better performance
  • Avatar Change - Human Avatars 1 and 2 were using the wrong image and have been fixed
  • Seeds will now always be used when planted
  • Easier skills (mixing, planting, other) were made easier
  • Graphic artifacts (players, items) being left on screen but aren’t there shouldn’t happen anymore

Dransik 2.2 - Build: 983.861

Bug fixes and improvements for after the bit release.

Changes

  • Text now autoizes to height for signs. this now works
  • Select ALL on Buy/Sell side option that exists for shopkeeper window now
  • Lighting is no longer bleeding into window UI
  • Buyback window sell side sorting works right
  • You see Ramses Travel Journa (missing an L at the end)
  • Dragging to schematic: Invalid slot - exits is what it says. Should say exists when in the printout text for schematic
  • String sort in lists/windows is now natural sort so things with numbers in names sort properly
  • Shop and other windows won't flash and then go empty as it loads and scroll offset that is invalid for the content of the window from the .cfg file
  • The select character crash related to the character-server.cfg has been fixed
  • Added some better debugging (hopefully) if the server gets into a bad state
  • Fruits like Apples/Cherries properly adjust appetite now and detect if needed for STA/APP
  • Extreme alignment is no longer reachable by players (were causing ALIGN BONUS to drop)
  • Alignment LOCK now prevents ANY MOVEMENT for alignment
  • The last cave exit for dragon hole 'Crawlway To Surface' required a click. Now it triggers on bump too
  • The trade window works properly again

Dransik 2.2 - Build: 973.857

The major news here is the Item Upgrade System is in place. There are several aspects to this.

  • The ability to create level-appropriate unique items with a level of control from the player including the ability to control the properties including how it looks

    • Almost any item can be imbued (will lose any prior properties)
    • Up to 2 color dyes can be applied to customize the look
    • Abilities Buffs, Resist Buffs, Damage Buffs can be controlled
    • Special procs and perks are possible
    • Random Item Name generation added

  • Ancient Knowledge is accompanied by Ancient Power
  • The systems for upgrading items are now in place to fully enable using Ancient Knowledge
  • New skills added to support this system
  • 100’s of new items added to support this system
  • Tradeskills have been revisited and made consistent with special attention to removing the frustration of early levels

    • Messaging on item received/lost and coloring is consistent
    • Exp gains are consistent
    • If the player can’t carry new item, it is placed on the ground tile the player is on
    • More nuanced and attribute impact on tradeskill result is clear

  • Crafting window has a text filter and remembers selections, filters, and positions per crafting type
  • Mixing/Baking skills have been moved below Cooking (and the pie/bread specialization removed)
  • Basic dyes available via vendor, additional via Token Store

  • Fixed Monster Manual filter having spaces on edges potentially messing up filtering
  • Hitting escape cancels the target selection cursor
  • All whips now have some weight

  • Blocking skill was mapped incorrectly in code and sometimes firing without the skill being learned
  • Champions Realm (past seasons) characters get a notification when they login about where they are
  • Stamina now regenerates on its own (out of combat) as long as you aren’t hungry and hunger is shown on client. hunger prevents stamina and health regen
  • /roll command works properly when using min and max range. /roll 1 100 vs roll 100 are the same now.
  • Shortcut 9 label typo fixed for hotbar meta game menu
  • Pick Axe invalid location message in Silvest now says mineral vein instead of Silver Mountains
  • Alignment Lock and Gui Lock removed from options menu since they exist on player stats and play area UI widgets
  • Shopkeeper window has text filters for buy/sell and remembers filters and position per shopkeeper type
  • Tinkerer has been added to most town (for repairing items)
  • Tinker Tools allow for self repair of items
  • Items degrade very slowly on usage and player death, but are never destroyed.
  • Weapon/Armor will be at 50% of benefit when durability is 0.
  • Items value in transactions (like shops) will be lessened based on durability

  • Animal hide, now stackable, is currently source material for leather repair

  • Lighting system visuals upgraded - lights look better including not oversaturating
  • Blood Summoner and Jailer no longer like cheese
  • (channel name) is echod from console when you type a message into User/Tell channels
  • NPC movement has been improved
  • Tooltip for crop growing updates as the crop changes


Equipment Changes
Bows

  • Deathsting - Now deals 111-190 damage (from 111-197), Hit is now 55 (from 50 Hit), reduced Str requirement to 70 (from 75)

Crossbows

  • Crossbows has been minorly revamped with 7 new Crossbows added to fill out gaps. Level 20 and below crossbows has been slightly altered in damage and level requirement while elemental crossbows now start at level 50 instead of 30
  • Renamed one “Unstrung” item for consistency
  • Great Air Crossbow - Now speed 14 (from speed 15)
  • Voidwound - Now deals 127-211 damage (from 127-219), Hit is now 55 (from 45 Hit)

Mage Weapons

  • Mesmer Great Sword - Now provides 35 Hit (from 25 Hit)
  • Bloodbound Blade - Now provides 40 Hit (from 30 Hit)

Banished Knight Set

  • Shield - Now provides +19 Con (from +23 Con)

Miscellaneous Items

  • Renamed all “Dragon Scale” items to “Green Dragon Scale”
  • Dragon Scale Belt - Now provides +25 Armor (from +32 Armor)
  • Lumpfuq’s Claw - Now provides +55 hit (from +45 hit), changed requirements to 80 Str and 30 Con (from 80 Str, 20 Dex, 20 Con)

Dransik 2.2 - Build: 843.715

In addition to bug fixes, the resource collection system has been updated as part of the larger equipment/upgrade system and crafting system changes.

Changes

  • Raw Material/Resource system collection change introduced
  • Leader leaving party properly assigns new leader and updates party order
  • Fixed case where exp bar label shows wrong exp value
  • Reorganized health/sta/exp bar to look better together
  • Leader of the party is now labeled L instead of 0
  • Criminals won't get stuck if GMs mess with them and go to work more
  • Traveling Salesman is on vacation until further notice
  • Spelling fixes on VIP backpack full statements
  • Sentence fix on Nimble Quiver holding incorrect item
  • Client network/connection speed improved
  • Shops will properly remember inventory items sold to them moving forward

Dransik 2.2 - Build: 838.705

It is largely a polish pass with lots of bug fixes and tuning. The party system was added as well.

Changes

  • DevOps work done - servers are now running on Linux
  • "Underground City of Martarus" sign corrected
  • Help/Options tooltips corrected on several menus
  • Pecan picking quantity is now correct
  • Lime Seeds, Bananas, Greely had their reuse delay set to the other similar foods
  • Frost Bolts are now sellable at vendors
  • Vampire Bats now drop poison arrows/bolts
  • Spawn rate and quantity increased in the Darushk cave area
  • Button for floating HP bar is no longer partially obscured from clicking
  • AoE spells will only impact object in the casting area if they are ON CASTERS SCREEN
  • Spells cast that land OFFSCREEN to a player will fizzle
  • Bosses are immune to Wall Spell damage
  • Casting wall spells on teleporters and other things won't teleport player
  • Jailer, Head Hunter/Blood Summoner, and others have defenses against blocking cheese

Dransik 2.2 - Build: 809.674

New less greedy client with performance/memory options.

Changes

  • New client with
  • *PERFORMANCE** option in the main menu (defaults to fully cache, but still uses less memory).
  • If your sentence runs out and you still have a rock in your inventory it should be cleared on logout as well as when you click on it (but ideally, it won't happen anymore)
  • Crops, equipment, and items someone owns will show as LOOTED and instead will indicate if they are Yours or Not Yours
  • Silvest Librarian Quest on the first click vs accepting it and prints out the 5/5 message now
  • Can now sell Flight Arrows to Vendor

  • Bounce through other players (dex roll) - so can't block bodies
  • Triggered Spawn Encounters (like Tra'vaal bosses) would sometimes double-spawn
  • Server crash identified and fixed
  • Jail banker moved to the non-prisoner side and better signage

  • Taming (leadership) exp is creature health based

  • Target protection is honored for AoE damage spells on PvP
  • Mountain Pass is triggered off prisoner feeding now and is shorter

Minor path with some bug fixes and last-minute adjustments or adds after the big release. We also added Santa’s Workshop to Holiday Island - Ho Ho Ho!

  • Wooden wand is now sold at mainland shops

  • Balron's move speed and Ice Devil move speed adjusted back to about what it was before
