Hotfix 21 "v0.10.4.23" Is now out!
Important! For this hotfix, we've done a large scale balancing in preparation of next weeks patch. For this reason please help us test and give us feedback on Discord so that we can address any issues before the upcoming patch.
Improvements/Bugfixes:
- Improved the Profanity filter by cleaning the "bad word" list as well as fixed a bug that allowed some players to get around the profanity filter - Improved "Invite friend" function: You can now invite friends and join players through the steam panel. - Improved the new build menu: New icons and fixes to the build panel. - Conquest mode is now default in lobby if you have played tutorial - Settings menu: Settings should now be retained. - Pre-Patch balancing: Balanced most warrior units in preparation of upcoming units.
DwarfHeim 2021 Road Map
Hi Everyone,
We have some awesome and exciting news to share with you all today! First, things first! We're delighted to say that the dev team have been hard at work to improve DwarfHeim further before the weekend and have delivered yet another Hotfix patch for DwarfHeim. This makes this update the 20th hotfix since release back in October. This is, once again, thanks to all the feedback you've been dedicated and diligent enough to provide!
Check out the list of things included in this week's Hotfix
Bugfixes:
- Fixed an issue on the profile screen which made it so you only would get stats based on your 15 last matches.
- Fixed an issue with how ranged attacks are calculated, removing issues with tower targeting "unreachable" targets.
- Fixed Global Chat Message Error, which caused unwanted pop-ups.
Balancing
- Decreased Ranged effectiveness against Towers from 1x to 0.7x
- Decreased Ranged effectiveness against Buildings from 1x to 0.7x
- Increased Siege effectiveness against Towers from 1x to 3x
And now, for the exciting news! We are pleased to present the next update for DwarfHeim's Living Development Road-Map while in Early Access. Since our first RoadMap reveal we have delivered a lot of updates and a lot of improvements such as Rankings and Friend-Pass. We still have a lot of great content to add to DwarfHeim and with this Road-Map we can share a top-line view of them with you.
We are working continuously on preparing these updates, we're listening and watching how you, our players interact with the game. Our goal is to listen and learn from the community as well as implement our big plans, so, schedules and priorities may shift along the way in order to address community feedback. Rest assured, however, our commitment to making Dwarfheim an amazing game is 100%!

The dev time at Pineleaf Studio waste no time and we're delighted to confirm we've just released our 19th Hotfix for DwarfHeim with even more improvements! Details on build v0.10.4.18 have been included below:
_Bugfixes:_ - Fixed an issue with "Dwarf" showing in the VGX system instead of relevant key. - Improved pathfinding in certain corner-cases by removing tree's on Cliffside and Black Scar. - Possible fix for Friend-pass users getting disconnected during loading.
We've got more exciting updates on DwarfHeim including more improvements, more updates and the an update on DwarfHeim's Early Access Roadmap. All of this will be coming in January so keep an eye out for more news! If you are having any issues please don't hesitate to let us know on our Discord community. FRIEND-PASS HOW TO GUIDE
Hello Mighty Thanes!
We’ve just released DwarfHeim: Friend-Pass. Your friends can now play DwarfHeim's Survival mode through this companion app.
Now you may be wondering how you set this up? Well never fear! We have the answer for you below! The first 2 things to be aware of is that 1) One member of the part must own the full game and 2) there is a 5 game cap for free users.
Whether you own DwarfHeim and want to convince your friends to play or, you want to try it out before buying, we have all the info you’ll need! So let’s get started…
DwarfHeim owner
1. Start by opening DwarfHeim , there you will see a new button that looks like this in the middle left of the start menu
2. Press it and you get a new menu
3. To make a room for your friendpass friend , press create room. If you want to join another player and his friendpass friend you can press join room
4. When you create a room a new window will open that looks like this
5. Here you can manually copy the code, or press the copy button that the red arrow is pointing at.
6. Now that you have the code you can send it to your friend. When your friend has added the code they will be able to choose what class they want to play as in the Survival Mode, when they have chosen their class they press ready. Now they wait for you to make the rest of the decisions like select map and difficulty you.
When you both have readied up a match will be found and you are ready to play.
Friendpass owner
1. Get the friendpass version of DwarfHeim on the store page of DwarfHeim on Steam
2. When that is installed and you start the game you will be greeted with this
3. Here you have the option to play the Tutorials of DwarfHeim, Buy DwarfHeim and also insert your friends Friend-Pass Code (mentioned above)
4. When you have entered the Friend-Pass Code you press the Join Room button underneath and you will show up in your friends lobby, here you can choose what class you want to play in the coming Survival Match with your friend.
5. Now that you have found your class ,all you need to do is press the ready button and wait for your friend(s) to do the same.
And there you have it! Easy steps to get the RTS action started.

DWARFHEIM FRIENDPASS IS HERE!

For today the Warriors at Pineleaf Studio have unveiled the third content update of the DwarfHeim Early Access Roadmap! This update is now live!
This is a truly wonderful content update as it includes DwarfHeim Friend-Pass! For those of you who don’t know Friend-Pass is an incredible way for DwarfHeim players to introduce their friends to the game. We’ll be posting a “How To” guide separately so you can get your friends in on the RTS action!
Friend-Pass is a major addition to DwarfHeim that the development team is incredibly proud of. It shines a light on the co-operative gameplay, a key pillar for Pineleaf, and gives supporters an easy way to share the fun around. It’s not the only addition, either. Ranked matches, Leaderboards, and tons of UX improvements have already landed in Early Access, and here are the additional features going live alongside Friend-Pass:
Custom Games - Enables the players to play 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3, in non-matchmade environments.
New Basic Tutorial - New tutorial that acts as a smoother introduction, as well as a prequel to our story mode campaign coming later in our EA road map
Improved Keybindings - In addition to a new slider for edge movement, players can choose between Traditional and Modern keybindings for the modern and classic RTS players
Unit Type Effects - A big game balance that takes unit types into account, requiring more strategizing from our players. IE - An Arbalist will now deal increased damage to a Berserker, which is a fast unit, while the Berserker will deal more damage towards a Shieldbearer which is an armored unit and so on.
There’s plenty more that will release throughout Early Access. Stay tuned for updates on the DwarfHeim roadmap.
Among these awesome additions the devs put a little extra under the tree with the following additions:

DwarfHeim HOTFIX 18 LIVE!
Greetings Mighty Thanes!
With the recent update that introduced Ranked we saw game queue times increase and community feedback has supported this.
To reduce the length of queue times we decided to merge Conquest and Ranked. This will allow all players to queue in the same lobby and let the players who like to progress towards higher ranking to continue to do so. Conquest matches will still run as normal, though we will be clearing this leaderboards and ranks at certain times as we continue to balance the game.
We will of course continue to monitor this to make sure it is a positive change for our DwarfHeim community.
Patch notes:
- Merged Casual and Ranked game modes to ease queue times during peak.
- Removed start delay for singleplayer
- Fixed auto farming bug. (No seriously this time, I'll buy you an ale if you prove me wrong.)
- Added analytics to our matchmaking to help us improve the service.

We have another small announcement ahead of the weekend.
After yesterday's patch that included Ranked matchmaking and some other additions we've added some new fixes as well as requested additions! Hope you have a nice weekend, and gets some good matches going!
FIXES:
- Fixed authentication issue after matches - Fixed issues with Warrior receiving normal Quar drops from trolls - Fixed issue with Frida's attack speed buff stacking too high - Fixed Icon of "all ore" icon on Sorter panel - Set correct class name in Leaderboard

Balance:

Early Access Update No.2!

Today is indeed a glorious day! We're proud to confirm that our second content update of the DwarfHeim Early Access Roadmap is now live and is currently 20% off as part of the Steam Autumn Sale!.
Among a whole host of improvements and fixes this update officially adds Ranked games to DwarfHeim. Test your mettle against other players and earn customization for your profile to show off your rank and skill!
Along with this we're delighted to announce that we've added a "Queue Both" Button - this will allow players to queue up for different games simultaneously! This should help alleviate the longer queue times some of our players have been experiencing.
