0849.01.6 Some balancing and UX


  • Scouting, HQ and reinforcement actions are now automatically removed from the actions panel one turn after being completed
  • Shortened the maximum numbers of turns to next riot. Based on difficulty: 20,15 or 8 turns.

0849.01.5 blocked waves and UX


  • Fixed a problem with undying sappers preventing the waves progress
  • While in battle you can now use Escape to close all menus
  • Fixed the health bar in the tower UI that now updates also with UI open


The first one does address one of the sneakiest and best hidden bugs we ever had in game, hopefully this time we splatted it (in case I added some additional debug info, in the remote option it'd happen again).

Esc to close menu is something that we got tons of request for, and it happened plenty of times to see it happening in a video or stream, that someone ended up opening the menu with Esc while just trying to close a window.

We're about to reach a place where the game is fairly stable, it starts to even show some more balancing, and the work on larger EA stuff can finally begin!

Early Access Diaries #4 One month!

I should almost reuse the same intro as last time as in "oh, we thought we had fixed all the bugs already!" but of course we didn't!



But we're getting there. We're getting less and less bugs reports, and more and more feedback reports, and that's amazing guys. This time (all the updates are already online as I write), it's not only bug fixes, but we already got started on balancing and improving the UX experience.

Of course, there's still a lot to be done, that's always so, but I am very very happy with what I can present now!

  • Fixed an issue with Governors building assets past their maximum tier

Some more stuff goes in. We improved the UX on the building queues, fixed an annoying bug with Governors and building, and added the save files to the Bug reports (so we don't have to bother you with sending them manually anymore!)

These you will like, specially the stuff on the provinces summary panel. You can now sort them, get more info from the tooltips, and once on the province you get some direct info about the governors loyalty too.

Bug fixing continue, not just on the obvious console errors, but also taking on balancing and more subtle and harder-to-stop bugs. Here's what we got done in the last couple of days!

Early Access Diaries #3 - Juggernauting around

We're a bit late this time, but I told you last time that I was gonna be semi-off the grid for a few days.



I've been working on EiR code from a tiny village on the italian Alps, it was very relaxing, and surprisingly the upload speed of my 4G there allowed me to upload the game builds fairly quickly too.

But ok, all that is probably not that interesting for you, let's move to cooler stuff now!



First of all, we're stocked with the quality of our gamers. You guys are awesome. You're being patient, playing incredibly well, and using the feedback tool to report bugs and problems a lot (that and the forum).
And, we're being as fast as possible in fixing things too! Not even one month that the game is out, and already we made 10 updates, fixing endless problems, from major to minor. This is exactly how we expected the first month of Early Access to be. Things are now slowing down luckily, you guys keep on playing, but bugs reports are less and less frequent (hopefully because there's less bugs ?lunar2019grinningpig? )



We had more than 400 hours of pre-release testing, but like it always happens in IT, and specially in a non-linear game, the moment you guys took on the Western Marches, you managed to find the craziest and most hidden bugs ever! And we fixed them!

  • Fixed a bug that showed a snowy fort in riots battle panel
  • Fixed multiple sources of exceptions across the game




This week, thanks to the slowing down of bugs reports, we started working on the new stuff as well. We're gonna begin by redesigning the Tutorial, adding a Governor-based tutorial, and, you shall see next week what comes next!
