It's been a while since I updated the game. There was about a 1 month period where I didn't really work on it, but in the most recent month, I've gotten some things done.
Some nice polish to the cards when the player levels up. So now when leveling up, the cards slide in and then flip over, rather than just popping onto the screen instantly, and they now have some sounds that play on hovering and when they flip.
Another larger thing added is the addition of audio and visual feedback for when the player is hit. before there really wasn't any way to know you were hit without looking at the health bar. But now the player flashes white when hit, there is a screen shake and a little grunt sound effect.
So the game is getting there, and we making progress. I'm a solo dev, so it's a little slow but I also work on a bunch of things at the same time. If you want to see what I'm up to, you can check out my game dev Youtube Channel, I post videos of my progress most days of the week.
Changes Below
Added:
- Added a nice addition of polish to the level-up upgrade cards.
- Added a significant increase in visualizing when the player gets hit. (both visual and audio feedback).
- Added code to prevent the player from getting constantly hit when inside a group of enemies
- Added a few animations for some of the bugs that were missing them.
- And about 2 months of little changes to the game.

Entomophobia v0.33
Added The Mighty Beetle, a couple of songs, and a lot of visual stuff.
Added:
Added the fenced edge to "The Fields" map.
Added walls to the Edge of "The Warehouse" map.
Added The Mighty Beetle Item Pickup:
The Might Beetle Pickup when grabbed will cause all goop and shells that were left behind to get sucked toward the player.
Currently, it is a 1% drop rate from any Enemy. (This will probably go down at a later time)
Created and Added 10 new enemies for The Warehouse map.
Added two new songs that I made:
These are songs that I created, so it is a completely different style from the song that was made by RFS. I'll make more soon to add more variety, but for now, a 3x in music is good.
The music now when complete will choose the next song to start playing after 5-30 seconds when the previous song is over.
Added more structure to the places where Barns will eventually be.
probably added some other stuff that I forgot about from earlier in the week.
Changed:
Lowered the bloom on The Fields map, to make brighter colors have more contrast.

12 new Enemies for the Field Map

Fixes / Changes:
Flipped the Angle that the Corn Flake Weapon Shoots out.
Lowered EXP needed per level-up by 12%, making level-ups closer to the aimed level-up timing
Made the Grenade 2x Faster
Fixed Bird weapon Breaking when it was supposed to have more than 1 Bird
Lowered Timbs cooldown by 1 sec
Buffed Saw Blade Damage by 50%

As a part of the Enemies Update I have decided to cut the Complex Boss Fights for now.
They may get added back in at a later date, but at the moment I haven't figured out how to make good boss fights.

11 New Weapons:
Glue Launcher Shoots Glue Blobs toward random Enemies.
Saw Blades Orbit the Character Sawing all Bugs In Its Path.
Timbs May the Heaven's rain down upon The Enemies.
Chains Slaps down in a plus formation.
Grenade Throw Grenades that explode & send out Shrapnel.
Oddly Large Fish Stick Spins and Shoots off.
