We hope you are as excited for the wipe as we are! We have been working extremely hard to ensure the quality of this patch. There are additional patch notes to take into account since our last patch notes preview. Please review them carefully.

Developer Hunt


Developer Hunt is on! The devs will be playing this weekend. Watch out for discord announcements. Generally, Devs will be on from around 5pm-7pm EST, but really anytime this weekend it’s possible to encounter a Dev in game. If you kill a dev, you will be awarded the Discord title of Dev Slayer! Good luck.


Full Patch Notes


General Changes:

  • Personal Room on the ship has been redesigned.
  • You can now shift click to instantly move items from your inventory to stash/containers/bodies.
  • Upon blocking a hit, you can not lose stamina for 1 second, preventing you from instantly going exhausted upon receiving multiple hits in a short span of time.
  • Some extracts are now 1x1
  • Less armored zombies spawn on the lost island, lowering the difficulty of the undead in the entire level.
  • All Servers will now point to NA in order to get more players to match together. Players outside of NA will experience lag. We will expand Servers when the population begins to grow more
  • You can now attack while exhausted. But you have -50% attack speed and -50% base damage
  • Mercenary Followers now display their status above their heads after being given a command
  • Female Body type has been updated with better proportions
  • Crossbows can no longer be reloaded while sprinting
  • Backpacks can now be renamed (Double click the name while the backpack is open)
  • Foliage updated to look better when playing on low graphics settings
  • Added ‘Katar Asura’ Variant
  • Gada Asura can now leap attack
  • Added quick crafting to crafting stations
  • Added various leaderboards (PVE KD, PVP KD, Networth, etc…)
  • Added various ‘Polearm’ weapons- Wooden Spear, Iron Spear, Iron Bardiche, Steel Naginata, Steel Partizan, Steel Halberd, Steel Guan Dao
  • Added bot variants that use new polearms
  • Added new freebooter loadouts with wooden spears
  • Added Throwing Kunais- Projectile consumable that slows enemy movement for a short duration
  • Attacking and Sprinting are no longer mutually exclusive
  • Added ‘play online’ to starting room on Boat
  • Quests are no longer items, they are now stored in the quest tab
  • You can now track Quests so they display on your HUD
  • Added UI unified menu to inventory screen- You can now access every trader, crafting table, stash without moving. But you still have to discover each NPC once before they become available.
  • Bots now are limited on how often they can combo attack and have reduced stamina efficiency.
  • ‘Early game’ zombies take 50% more damage but drop less gold (royal zombies still drop 100g)
  • Night time is ‘a bit brighter’
  • Blocking no longer drains stamina, instead prevents regen
  • NPC dialogue is now typed out on first encounter (instead of one long block of text appearing at once)
  • Removed Crossbow Freebooter Loadout
  • Asuras now have damaged textures to indicate how close they are to death
  • Doors that require keys now automatically open if you have the key
  • Added Rice Hat
  • Added Crusader Chest Armor
  • Added Lip Sync to Essential NPC traders(quest givers)
  • Added Screenshake when you land a hit
  • Extraction should now immediately cancel if you exit the area
  • AI will now heal more carefully instead of spamming pots on low health

Bug Fixes:

  • Zombies now correctly queue attacks when hit
  • Archers now no longer try to kick the player from unreasonable distances
  • Fixed a bug where swapping armor/weapon when there is no space for the original item could cause the item to disappear OR Operation Failed
  • Crafted Consumables will no longer automatically go into hotbar slots
  • Fixed hotbar items not dropping when a player is killed (Will drop into a small bag if inventory is full)
  • Fixed (hopefully) player’s legs vibrating when standing on an uneven surface
  • Fixed armor sounds not changing properly after selling equipped armor
  • Fixed items dropping from backpack breaking the backpack
  • Fixed stats screen unable to be closed with ‘tab’
  • Fixed bot spawners (it’s a secret)
  • Fixed mesh clipping issues on players forearms and armor
  • Pressing ESC should not properly exit the party menu and the settings menu

Patch Notes Preview: Dec. 8th Wipe

Hello Agartha Community! We are excited to announce the loads of updates we have regarding gameplay/QOL changes. This will be patched into the game Dec. 8th.

There will be a full Wipe when we drop this patch. As the game is early access, we do wipes to preserve the health of the game and prevent data corruption. If you haven’t been on in a while, here is your opportunity to get back on because we have changed a lot of things. To reward you for your dedication and patience, if you log in the weekend of Dec. 8th-11th, you will receive a lootbox to help you get a head start. Make sure to create your character during this period to get the bonus!

We’re working hard on the new maps we have been teasing, and unfortunately it’s looking like we’ll be delaying the release of our new maps until January. We would like to spend more time preparing for the new content and thank you for being patient. We hope this update shows our efforts and commitment to taking this game out of early access, into the spotlight that it deserves.

Updates from the Developers!

MAPS!

  • Two new maps
  • A lost temple in the Jungle, featuring new NPC quest givers
    A freebooter only- PvP Coliseum. In true Battle Royale fashion, only one player will make it out alive in this game mode




New Environment in Progress!

  • Environment trap functionality that will make some areas more dangerous to traverse- use them to your advantage against unsuspecting players


Weapon Updates!

  • Pole arm weapons
  • New class of weapons that includes spears, halberds, glaives, etc


Mercenary Updates!

  • Mercenary followers will have action icons above their heads so players have a clearer idea of what is going on when they use tactical commands


New Boss!

  • New Asura type: Katar quad-wielding boss




Updated Crafting!

  • Renaming Chests and Quick Crafting
  • The devs are working on the ability to rename your chests, and instantly craft items if you have the required materials by clicking your recipes in the crafting stations.

Patch Notes 9/26/22

General Changes:

  • Engine upgraded from Unreal 4.26 to 4.27
  • Respawn button time to respawn set to 45 seconds, and now gives a speed debuff after being used (to help prevent abusing this debug feature)
  • Added colour changes and small animations to HP and Food bars based on fullness/toxicity
  • Added a cooldown to zombie and corrupted attacks to stop them from repeatedly attacking a blocking player
  • Updated ragdolls to help prevent against bodies falling through the ground and also made them less extreme
  • Speculative fix for teleporting cheat




Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed palm tree collision on Island so bolts shouldn’t be floating in the air when shot near them anymore
  • Fixed collision in some Undercroft towers that would not let players smoothly walk up them without getting stuck
  • Fixed (hopefully) bots going ‘afk’ for no reason
  • Fixed zombies easily hitting the player through their blocks, they can now push the player
  • Fixed the casino merchants first interaction dialogue being treated as ‘Sound’ not ‘Voice’
  • Fixed various LOD issues on various maps
  • Fixed various texture issues on Island
  • Fixed insured items put in backpacks before entering a map not being returned properly after dying
  • Fixed (hopefully) weird hand stretching that would occur

New Map Announcement

Once again, thanks for supporting the game! We have an announcement regarding our plans for the next map. Make sure to keep an out eye out for more coming soon.

Mysterious ancient temples are waiting to be found in the Lost Land of Mu. New factions join the hunt for Gold, God, and Glory.

This new map will feature a multi-phased race through the jungle into the ruins of an ancient temple filled with loot and secrets... few will survive and escape with the riches! Will you connect the dots and discover the truth of mankind's ancient past?

  • Speculative Fix for rare where player dies when entering a map before being able to play
  • AI bots should be more aggressive when chasing targets that have left their line of sight
  • Mercenary Followers should now follow players closer
  • Fixed exploit where player could animation cancel heavy attacks by switching to shield

9/11/2022 Patch Notes

Fixed Crossbow aiming issues where you could not shoot accurately when aiming downwards
Fixed Player stats bug where you were granted 10% to various stats while naked
Fixed bug where Mercenary contracts did not activate when in backpacks

Various new voicelines added to NPCs at the Mao Kun
Clarified crafting table UI so nobody is ever confused about the stash swap

Patch Notes 9/8/2022

General Changes:

  • Stash size increased from 6x100 to 12x100
  • Added Attenuation for VOIP
  • ‘Cooked Rabbit’ max HP modifier now 100hp for 300s (should have been 150hp for 300s but was bugged)
  • Movement speed reworked to be a multiplier instead of additive, and default speed of unsheathed state now set to 100% so it feels less like a punishment to have weapons out.




Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed typo in description for ‘Steel Nodachi’ (“calvary” -> “cavalry”)
  • Fixed ‘Cooked Rabbit’ not correctly giving a maximum health buff
  • Fixed splitting stacks of consumables equipping the new stack
  • Fixed disconnecting while starving breaking the game
  • Fixed dying while disconnected stating player was killed by ‘None’ (Now are killed by ‘Agartha’)

General Changes:

  • ‘/respawn’ added as a command that works the same as the ‘Respawn’ button
  • New Voicelines to some NPCs added
  • Various changes to inventory and backpacks and such that should help with items randomly disappearing or duping
  • Maps now state ‘Mercenary Only’ if you can’t queue with a freebooter to them
  • Corrupted Zombies will no longer dodge too frequently while player is attacking

  • Fixed a typo in “Energy Vial”, should be 15 stamina per second now
  • Fixed ‘Broken Bone Resistance’ on the stats page displaying 0 instead of the correct value
