We've been hard at work implementing your feedback, fine-tuning the game mechanics, and polishing the overall experience. We hope that you’ll enjoy trying it out!

Changelog
Complete overhaul of the visuals of the first arena (Fishy Swamp).
Introduction of boss fights with Victorio Regium, the Fishy Swamp's boss.
Implementation of Currencies: Capy-Coins and Capy Tokens and a preview of the two shops (Ability Shop and Class Shop) with a few upgrades to purchase (the rest will be available in the full game).
New Stat System, introducing Critical Damage, Critical Chance, Dodge Chance, Heal Buff and Ability Speed stats, while also adding a Stats Menu, where players can check their stats during a run. Because of the new additions, each character was rebalanced so that each one has their own strengths and weaknesses based on their stats!
Synergy System: evolve your character in a run through synergies between their primary weapon and a passive ability! You can check the combinations for each Synergy you've unlocked on the Synergies Menu.
HUD improvements: more ability slots (8 instead of 6), addition of a Kill Count and Capy-Coin Count.
Level Up UI overhaul with reactive descriptions, stat icons, reroll and skip buttons.
Added outline to damage numbers to improve legibility, plus color changes for dodges and critical hits.
Level cap for each ability set to 5.
Extremely Powerful Mode: once players reach the player level cap (40), enemies will start to drop Capy-Coins instead of exp orbs!
Added sound effects for active abilities, pause and level up menus.
New Treasure sprite and animations.
New Respawn circle sprite.
Added tutorial screens for the Level Up, Synergies, Respawn and Capy-Token features.
We are super excited to announce our next community event: the Extremely Powerful Capybaras High Score Contest! This is your chance to showcase your skills and compete with fellow capy-friends for the highest score in our newest update on the Extremely Powerful Capybaras Demo! We can't wait to see all the high scores you can achieve on this new build! 🚀🌟
The contest will take place on our Studio Bravarda Discord serverfrom 30th of May, until 12th of June in the #high-score-contest channel created just for this event. Are you ready to show everyone what a true capybara warrior can achieve? 🌟
To enter the contest, simply send a screenshot of your high score in the #high-score-contest channel. You can delete your previous entry and submit a new one if you manage to achieve an even higher score! 🔥
Once the submission period ends on 12th of June, we will lock the channel so no more entries can be submitted. The winner will be the entry with the highest score and receive @Hot Springs High Score role, which will be displayed up top on our Discord server for the next month! 👑

Finish the Capybara Drawing Contest on our Discord!
Greetings Capy-friends!
We are thrilled to announce our first Community Event: Finish the Capybara Drawing Contest! This is your chance to let your capybara creativity shine and showcase your love for the adorable capybaras. The contest will take place on our Studio Bravarda Discord server from March 20th to April 3rd in the #capy-drawing-contest channel created just for this event. Let your imagination run wild, and show us your best capybara drawings!
To enter the contest, you can either download the png file attached to this announcement and crop the blank capybara to draw on it or download the .psd file on our discord! When you are ready, submit your capybara drawing in the #capy-drawing-contest channel!
Once the submission period ends on April 3rd, the capybara community vote will begin and run until April 7th. The winner will receive a spot in our upcoming Beta test, and their capybara drawing will be added as a sticker on the Studio Bravarda Discord!
Rules:
Every capybara can submit only one entry.
No text or symbols that could be interpreted as NSFC (Not Safe for Capybaras), religious, or political, will be accepted.
Please do not use any copyrighted content in your drawings.
Once the entry period is closed, we'll seal the burrow and allow all capybaras to nibble on the submissions and place their vote!

Important Update
Hey capybaras!
I'm Yann, one of the devs behind Extremely Powerful Capybaras. I'm here representing our enormous team (six people) at Studio Bravarda to give you all some news about where the game is heading and updates on the release date.
First of all, we've been a little silent the last weeks because we were taking all the feedback you all sent during Steam Next Fest and the weeks after (thank you!) and analyzing everything and making a lot of decisions about the where we were going to take the game.
The most important decision is:
We're postponing the release of the game to the first-half of 2023. By far, what you folks requested the most was more content. So we decided to give ourselves more development time so we can release the game with more abilities, more capybaras, and overall more stuff to do in the game. The main gameplay experience will remain the same, we're just adding lots of meat to it!
Second important decision is:
We're taking a good look at bringing online multiplayer to the game. The other most requested feature! We know we're not going to deliver it by the the game's release though, we're trying to be realistic about this goal and, since we don't have much experience with online, we're going to take our time to deliver this feature right. We'll bring more news about it as soon as we're able to!
Third important decision is:
Ugh, we can't tell it yet! Something really awesome happened that is going to make the game be much, much better, but we can't officially announce it yet. What we can say is keep tuned to our social media and join our Discord to keep track, lots of cool stuff is going to happen to this game.
Fourth important decision:
We're going all in on the different capybara classes. We want to make this our most important feature, with lots of inspiration on Final Fantasy Tactic's Jobs system, but with capybaras! So expect to see more capybara classes in the coming months, it's been really fun developing it! Here's a sneak-peek!
Fifth important decision:
Bosses! Yes, they will be in the final game. Also more stages, enemies, the whole deal! Here's a sneak peek into some concept art:

This week's update is the last update the Demo is going to receive for some time, since we're fully focused on the game's 1.0 version in the coming months. Still, feel free to keep sending feedback, we're still checking them frequently and the game is becoming a lot better because of it!
