⚔️ Three new languages are now available - Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean!

CHANGES


- Some Ability balancing changes were made:

  • Hummingbirds had their initial Ability Speed increased to 2.
  • Incense of Power had its maximum Damage Buff reduced by 10% and the Stacking speed reduced by 1 across all levels.
  • Orb Socks had its Movement Speed Buff multiplier reduced to 3 at Level 2, 4 at Level 3, 5 at Level 7 and 6 at Level 8.


- Enemies went through some balancing changes:

  • All enemies had their Health and Damage increased by 5.
  • The amount of enemies per wave was increased for two, three and four players.


- Several Abilities have a bit of a new look, with different particles and visuals!

FIXES


⚔️ Fixed the placement of certain objects in the hub to prevent players from getting stuck.
⚔️ Fixed a bug in the descriptions of Handy Pawprint and Incense of Power where the text would be displayed in two languages appeared at once.

FIXES


⚔️ Fixed a bug that would make enemies freeze if the number of players was changed in-between runs.
⚔️ Fixed a visual bug where the "press cancel" input would blink for a second in the single player level up screen. Now it only appears in multiplayer.
⚔️ The confirmation fill in the level up screen is MUCH faster!
⚔️ You can no longer move the cursor while confirming a selection in the level up screen, avoiding a possible softlock
⚔️ We removed a 'ghost button' from the pause screen after a run was completed that was causing weird shenanigans
⚔️ Ability icons in the level up screen no longer stays red if you press it like crazy

- More slots also avoid distribution problems where there weren't enough viable options in level up screen
- Orbs drop more plentifully and give more EXP, meaning MOOOORE POWER;

⚔️ Fixed a bug where players could choose a weapon or passive even when all slots of that category were already filled, softlocking the game.
- Fixed the position of tutorial NPCs in the Hub.

CHANGES


⚔️ Sped up the fill for confirming a powerup during Level Up.
- Made the "Primary Weapon Upgraded!" window disappear more quickly.
- Nerfed the drop rate for Watermelons (2% to 1%) to make the game a little bit harder.

STEAM NEXT FEST - BIG DEMO UPDATE!

Hey there, Capybara warriors! 👋

On October 3rd, Extremely Powerful Capybaras' demo will receive a special update for Steam Next Fest!

NEW


⚔️ The entire game has gone through a MAJOR UI overhaul, with remapped buttons for using it!




  • New main menu, with an improved system for adding (and kicking!) players, an options menu and links to EPC's page and Discord server!
  • Improved player HUD with new icons and a cute little portrait for each capybara! Also, if you're playing on your own, you get more Passive item slots to use.
  • Improved Level Up screen with new icons and dynamic descriptions so you can see exactly what stats change with each level up!

⚔️Since we mentioned remapped buttons, now's a great time to mention that Extremely Powerful Capybaras now has FULL CONTROLLER SUPPORT!

⚔️ Two new faces are now in the CapyHub! They won't provide their services for now, but you can get a little preview of the Upgrade Shop and the Capybara Recruiter by talking to them!



- Five new Passives added to the game!


  • Black Hole Ring: A ring enchanted with magnetic power. Increases the pickup range of Experience Orbs by 10% for all players.


  • Amulet of Confidence: A reward for determined capybaras. Reduces all weapon and item cooldowns by 10% when your Health is equal to or greater than 90%.


  • Amulet of Despair: For capybaras on their last legs. Increases damage and defense by 50% when your Health is equal to or less than 20%.


  • Incense of Power: When you stay still, you stay chill. Get a stackable damage buff as long as you don’t move.


  • Orb Socks: Not your standard christmas socks. Gain a buff to movement speed for 1 second whenever you collect Experience Orbs.

FIXES


⚔️ Fixed the hitbox size on the enemies so they would not hit players as easily from above or from below, nor would they push players from too far away.

⚔️ Fixed the position of Chilling Chord's hitbox so enemies will no longer evade damage by getting too close to the player.

CHANGED


⚔️ All weapons, passives and enemies have been rebalanced with the intent of making the Capybaras truly feel Extremely Powerful! This is your chance to try out new items and builds!

⚔️ Buffed Gold XP Orbs so they now give five times the experience they did before. You can get several levels with it early on, so do your best to take down Elites and get it!

- The feedback window has new icons to tag your feedback with!

Also, we'll be showcasing a few gameplay runs of Extremely Powerful Capybaras so you can all see how we play! Take a look at how the devs handle battling hordes of enemies with their capybara warriors alone and together!
