I wanted to wait to release this, but this patch also includes so many QoL upgrades to the game, so I decided to release the Wave Mode this month with One map. (More to follow) This one map features 6 waves of enemies, increasing difficulty for each wave.
It's very difficult alone, but it proves a substantial challenge! Play it with up to 7 other friends online, or 3 Local with our Split Screen mode. (In Alpha, instructions at bottom of page)
Defend the "Tractor of Hope" In this PVE wave based game mode! - Purchase weapons at the "shop" with gold dropped from enemies! Completing the challenge will award you an exclusive skin "Wave Commander Blaise"
The in-game achievements system is now live! (No Steam Achievements at this time.) Includes 3 acheivements (for now) with more to come. :) • Launching the game • Visiting the Lockerroom • Completing Wave Mode on any Difficulty
Quality of Life
I consider many things in the game quality of life features, like options, input keybinds, user flow, and other things. This patch includes dozens of these things, here is a list of them below:
Keybinds for Taunt, Heal me, and Thanks voice lines
Friday fast-fall is now triggerable via "V" or "Crouch" keys.
Intro video added to the game
Gamepad navigation improved (But not complete)
Save data for custom colors & skins could be corrupted with game upgrades (Fixed)
Performance improvements in Mechanyon
Mouse mines would not stick to players sometimes
Harpoons & Arrows not hitting targets sometimes
Health & Energy meter graphics improved
Ammo count bug fixed (-1 ammo)
Ammo count text improved
Font in some menus improved
Splitscreen bugs fixed (No names, no health bar, no spawn bubble, etc.
Splitscreen Alpha
If you want to try splitscreen, with controllers connected, press the Back button (Or select for ps4/ps5) controllers to activate this hidden menu. After that, Host or Join a game! The ui is a bit finnicky, and might require players to hit Start to bring up the pause menu to unstuck themselves.
Works in Wave mode too! Just be sure to select your players here first, then hit "Host Wave mode"
I've reinstated the Linux build
I've reinstated the Linux build I'm reversing my previous decision, the Linux build runs better on steam deck after further testing and I will be continuing to provide native linux builds going forward
Wave Defense - Updated on Beta Branch "sigma"
Hey All, I'm looking for more feedback on Wave Defense mode, which is 'fully' playable on the beta branch named "sigma"
How to get on the Beta?
Right click the game, Properties
Then go to Betas
Select "Sigma" and close the window
Let the game update, and then you're good to play!
I also have a server up for North American players that should give an even better experience for playing with friends. You can use Steam Invites while in the lobby to invite others to the game.
Wave Defense Features:
1 Map, 2 Difficulties (Normal & Hard)
6 Waves of scaling difficulty with a 30 second break time in-between
A item-spawner shop that allows you and your team to spend Gold Currency to unlock weapons
3 Exclusive weapons to the Wave Mode only that are more popular than their regular counter parts
Special enemy units like the Stealth Bingo unit that will stay stealthed and sneak attack your Home Base! & More to come soon™
I am specifically looking to hear some Difficulty feedback, the game is mostly tested around Duo &/or more players, and I'd like it to be completable by solo players if they desire.
Also! When the patch comes out, you will be able to earn exclusive rewards like the new Wave Commander skin for Blaise. Requires beating Wave Defense on any difficulty. This ties in with our new in-game achievement system.
Linux Native Builds
Hey All, small news update that wont affect really anyone, the Native Linux builds are no longer shipping on steam with Fadeout: Underground going forward.
This doesn't affect anyone as most people are using Proton (Even the linux users who thought they were using the native builds, are actually running the proton build)
These changes will take affect once the sigma branch makes it to live (Sometime in december) That is all,

Fadeout PVE mode: Now in alpha testing!
If you want to help test, its available publically via the Steam Beta system, if you havent used it before, its available under the game's propertiies window -> Betas -> and select "sigma" branch
The game will update shortly afterward *Warning* You cannot joint regular dedicated servers while on this branch, if you want to return to the regular branch you need to revisit this window again
Once you're on the sigma branch, launch the game and hit "Wave Survival" (name pending) You can invite up to 7 other players to your lobby Once ready, step onto the green platform.
The game will load the map, good luck! Right now its only 4 waves, but its extremely challenging with 2 players. The more the merrier :)

Mechanyon - Holiday Music Hotfix
There was a small issue preventing the holiday music from playing on mechanyon in October & December This has been fixed!
